This is my opinion that they should have a fixed price for the Santa packages, for example $5 per package, no matter the weight. This would give a better chance of having many letters answered. Before, there was no charge for shipping and many more letters could be answered. Now the cost is very high and that limits the number of letters that are adopted, since the cost paid could sometimes be used for other letters to be chosen. How will they determine financial responsibility? And how are the parents going to be held liable for payment if they didn't agree to the treatment?

I live in Newark NJ and there is a stray cat around my house looks sick, not a wild cat and I want to help the cat because needs medical attention somebody can give me some information about what to do ? I’ll appreciate any help 🙏🙏🙏

It always seems that the burden of dealing with ferals falls on the people who are negatively effected by them. There's an estimated 10,000 feral cats in our town. A lot of the people feeding them do little else, such as getting a license, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter. The woman next door to us has about a dozen cats running around and doesn't seem to be interested in doing the right thing. They leave their turds where I grow my food, they pee on my mail and packages, and my dog and wife have both been bitten and scratched by a few of them when they wander into our back yard. We've tried approaching her but she becomes verbally abusive. FWIW We've taken 2 cats into our home and made indoor petsout of them. They get regular vet appointments and vaccinations. It's exhausting.

Thank you Senator Lesniak for the support of TNR(trap, neuter, return). As a colony caregiver, trapper and cat shelter builder it's financially hard to do the right thing and get all the cats we care for on the streets fixed. It can't just be the feeder's cost to bare while the community turns a blind eye to the overpopulation issue in this country and many others. Those poor abandoned cats whose owners did not fix them have contributed to the stray and feral cat population. Ignorance and low income perpetuate the circumstances even further. When/How does this law equate to funds for #TNR ? Will those who've paid out of pocket get reimbursed for their efforts so we can #spayitforward? There are so many more cat's I/we know about that lack of funding prevents me/many of us who do TNR from helping without that fund$ hesitation.

We need more animal protection legislation, a complete change in the Department of Fish & Wildlife, and it should be a felony for anyone abusing, neglecting or torturing an animal. Go Senator Lesniak (my choice for Governor).
