👍 ok, now do it wide open, 🌬 In reverse⬅️ 😮
Buena la música
The video quality is in the negatives 💀
Probally the best explanation ive seen for correcting death wobble, its not that complicated and ive been telling this to anyone who has a drag steer
I knew this too, but I realize it every time you do log it gets saved by HP turners in under your documents. HP tuners folder scanner logs I believe
That truck is a beast. Thanks for the post
Thank you for this! Finally someone that explains the caster after putting a lift. Just ordered me some adjustable lower control arms.
So you made the caster more positive? Serious question. Pls.
Yes, around 5 degrees positive
Excellent video !!! Was death wobble as prevalent “MANY” years ago when Jeeps had leaf springs securing the front axle ???? Also is death wobble less common when the front suspension is left stock ??? First time jeep owner here 2022 Gladiator sport owner. Thank you for your explanation
@@MrJEEPJT As the jeeps are lifted you can use caster shims to increase to a positive angle that decreases the risk of death wobble. I just did it and no more death wobble!
@@MrJEEPJT The stock suspension is less liable to have issues until parts start wearing. Leaf spring lifts are different and most don't change the castor angle so much.
@@kevinruckdeschell2963 thanks for the response growing up in the 1970’s I had an Uncle who was a big fan of the full-size Jeep pickups I remember his last was purchased the last year it was made don’t ever remember hearing about death 💀 wobble on any of the “OLD-SCHOOL” 4x4 with the leaf spring front suspensions.
If you don’t mind what windows program are you using? Thanks
I haven't gotten my computer out yet to check but I think windows 10. i am happy with my tune and just drove a 2000 mile round trip but i do think using a wide band would clean up some of the small issues i have seen. My idle is just a little restless with the a/c on and I think i am a little rich but everything else is working well
The Leaf would have easily made a 75 mile commute. It doesn’t matter how long you are stuck in traffic. An EV doesn’t use its charge just sitting still. As a matter of fact, due to regeneration, an EV actually gains charge in stop and go traffic. Been driving EVs since 2013, started with two Leafs.
it might or might not, the traffic in Texas in 100 degree heat, i am sure the a/c would use some power. As far as measuring battery power in miles, I am sure you are correct but for a first time trial and not being aware, idiotic or not, i needed to know how far i could go. at 32 cents per miles, i will stick to a hybrid a full gas engine for now
Measuring range in miles is idiotic. Change to % if possible. Miles range is an estimate based on PREVIOUS driving behavior. That’s why they call a miles is a guess o meter.
The Subaru/Toyota SUV....thing is subjectivly the ugliest EV and objectively the worst spec EV on the market. I believe it's the slowest charging EV on the market, has some of the crappiest tech, and terrible range
Yeah its also the safest rated and has the highest ground clearance making it the most offroad capable in its class. Ugliness is subjective, the solterra looks good. There is only one tesla that actually looks good. Are you going to seriously say that the Leaf isnt worse looking? Is the cheapest lowest range actually.. your statement is like 90% false the only thing that may actually be true is slowest charging? Because there isnt an actual statistic for that..so you made it up? Lmao
@@exzirongerth3255he's not wrong though it is probably the worst ev to buy on the market currently
I hate that all these companies are just making really crappy. EVs because I drive a Tesla. It's fucking awesome but I sell cars at a dealership and every other Ev is basically a hunk of junk that companies are just rushing the market because they think it's like a fad or something. It feels like they're trying to make a gas car electric instead of making an electric car from the ground up.
I have driven evs that are 150k $ and they don't even come close to the model 3 it's insane
You're so right, EV technology is so different of what ICE automakers do, that they need to do a heavy investment in R&D and discard everything they know about transmissions and engines, to be competitive.
How did the drive go?
We drove the 121 miles to Vegas with 25% charge left when we got to town. Then found a charging station behind caesars palace, waited an hour in line before getting to charge. Way too much stress planning and waiting for charging stations to make it worth while for a rental
@@kevinruckdeschell2963 yeah I could imagine!
Did the green light chirp when you pushed the power? I'm wondering if this is what's wrong with ours. It won't turn on but the power button lights up and chirps
It would flash on then go off, was definitely the power supply.
Mercury chair is on peak 9…
5 week till trip any pointers first run ?
Snowflake down to beaver run has 2 steep drops then a long poling session. I would avoid that. Peak 8 was busy. We enjoyed 9 for the blues, less wind and less traffic
Couldn’t see shit. Lol
I am where you are. Not ready to tune yet, but where else can you get a scanner with that much capability for the money. MAC or SnapOn would be 3 times the money for their scan tool.
Find silver surfer on the internet and download his vve assistant if you have a gen V Chevy. i am learning, albeit, slowly
Gets lost in the corners a lot
300 dollars
Yeah ! That's how you fix it !!!! And ever wondered why bush bikes and motorbikes have their front forks on such a rake angle ??? CASTER !! Otherwise they would be imposable to ride ! death wobbles !
I just ordered the stuff to begin tuning. Gonna get interesting
The LA Swap looks nice and clean.
Thanks for the update!
Great job. Keep the wife happy! I have a 26 foot coleman which I purchased 2 months ago for lap swimming. I was doing 25 laps roundtrip of freestyle swimming almost everyday. Great exercise to lose weight... I had to empty it to replace cracked paver stones.. The pool is a slightly higher on one side that caused the paver to crack... Working on resolving that issue. You did a great job. Yours looks very level
Yes, it turned out very level. I am very happy with the results. i took a lot of time getting th sit level for sure...and all by hand
Don’t mean to hijack a pool video but would love a Jeep engine swap update. Especially following the DOD delete.
Yes, I meant castor, not camber, do'h
Man I was debating on going hemi or lt but after hearing this. I'm going hemi for my jeep. I work for GM so this is very disappointing to hear 😢
yep, took 10 full hours to pull one cylinder head and replace 4 afm lifters. Now I am chasing misfires and stuff trying to get things back together. very frustrating
What engine/trans combo are you using?
Just got to 8L90 mention🤣
Now I noticed the 5.3 in the title of one I just watched😂! I’m sub’d to follow. Planning a 6.0/6l80 swap
@@JamesBrown-ox8vz I wanted a newer engine and transmission. The 5.3 8 speed only weights about 50 pounds more than the stock stuff. the 6.0 would be good but the new lt 5.3 is pretty close to hp and torque numbers and is all aluminium
Wow, It wasn't even a windy day. weird
I’d like to pick your brain about this swap sometime
Let me know. I documented a lot and learned a lot as well
NICE!!!!
Cut
That is less than 25k total including the Jeep and motor!
Good to see your wife out having a good time!! STRONG!!👏
Quick change...lol
I think I lost one of my skis in that spot where you spun out last time! 😂 Shame to have missed it - looked like a blast!
Nope, not that spot but we have some video where you did. The snow was absolutely epic
Sweet!
