    Can you appeal for clearing and will unis accept if you got below c for all a levels? Are they(uni) gonna ask for you grade when you call?

    • @saimahorwhatever
      @saimahorwhatever 8 месяцев назад

      unis tend to fill up the clearing spaces with a 'first come first serve' policy- so idk if you can appeal, unless you let them know in advance that you're getting a grade appealed. Also, yes they do ask for grades when you call up.

    • @medwithtem
      @medwithtem 5 месяцев назад

      Hey! Yes as kindly answered by @saimahorwhatever clearing spaces tend to go quite quickly on a 'first come first serve' policy so I'm not sure how an appeal would work. Also, it really depends on the course you're applying to and the requirements to whether those grades would be accepted

      Hello! Thank you so much for watching ❤️ The GCSE’s medical schools typically ask for are English Language, Maths and Sciences. The requirement may differ between each medical school so you would need to go to their website to find out the specifics for each one x Here is a link you may find helpful www.themedicportal.com/application-guide/choosing-a-medical-school/gcse-requirements-for-medicine/#:~:text=In%20addition%20to%20A%2DLevel,grades%207%2D9%20at%20GCSE.

    Hey I'm currently doing my GCSEs, I'm going to take bio chem and pe next year for a levels but what grades do I need to get. Are 7s and a few 8s ok and maybe an odd 6 in like a weak subject ?

      a lot of medical schools say seven grade 7s

      Hey, that should be okay! My lowest grade was a 4 in Spanish and I still managed to get in. However, most medical schools ask that you have a minimum number of GCSEs within a range of grades for example 6-9 and they may even specify that certain subjects such as Maths and English Language be in this list. Your best bet would be going to the website of the medical schools you were looking to apply to and looking at their specific grade requirements. Hope that helps x

    do we need to decline all the offers before calling the uni?

    • @medwithtem

      Hey! Technically you could call first before declining but it just puts you in an awkward position if they say have places but you still hold offers because then they are unable to offer you anything. So my best advice would be to decline all offers before calling, but make sure you’ve weighed up all the pros and cons before doing so x

      Update! You do not need to decline all offers before calling the uni, you can wait till you receive another offer first but following this, you will have to decline any existing offer on UCAS Hub. Note: In my personal experience I was only eligible for an interview because I did not hold any other offers and the course had very limited spaces already
