One of the main issue of the whole editting is the lack of visual theme, no sign of the editor doing some Research about your story, like what type of font will they use, watching whole footage for possible storytelling (goal-obstacle-reward), and cut to cut action to emotion, all they did is jut trim and cut the footage and done. Also if you hiring a video editor, make sure you taking a footage of something that has aesthetic value on it in 60 fps or 120fps, it could be lanscape, people, hyperlapse, unique things, and asking the editor to did some Cinematic section on your video to get lil bit engagement of the viewer. I think that's my opinion from the lenses of video editor, hope that helps😊
