Outdoors fishing and informational. I decided to start uploading videos of my fishing trips to show that anyone can get out on the water with fairly simple gear and techniques and catch fish. Also if you love fishing you don't have to catch big fish to have fun. Thank you for watching please subscribe.

Nice video! Just got to this area and trying to find out where to start here lol do you ever catch crappie this time of year from shore?
@@theu.s.ofangling1344 you can typically catch some from under almost any bridge but as with pretty much everything else they really pick up during the spring.
Wish I had a little fishing buddy like that...a true blessing...
@@rogerdavis9962 yes, every day.
I catch flathead and blues on carp bait and bass as well. And also catch a bunch of flat heads on desd bait. Maybe you just haven't experienced flat heads with dead bait alot.
@@joshcarter3125 flatheads on carp bait? That's hard for me to believe. You wouldn't happen to be catching bullheads and mistaking them for flatheads would you?
I’m over in Dallas for a couple of days from England, can you recommend anywhere to go?
@@goldstonerum I've only fished grapevine lake in Dallas. I'm not sure the marina but there if you look it up on maps it says Big Daddy's cantina on grapevine lake.
I wasn't expecting that big
I wasn't either lol, to bad it got off even though it was foul hooked it would have been awesome.
what a great idea, I wish I had thought of that when my kids were that age to enter them for world record catches, just got out the old photo albums with some pretty impressive catches by my children at that age. Kuddos to you that was awesome !!!
@@jeffkoon2873 they just started recognizing youth world records a few years ago unfortunately.
Good on you dad.

Good catch! Good eatin! 👍🏼

Hey Zac, ever fish the rec area this time of year? Any tips for bass or catfish?
@@KruiserIV I actually work there, are you fishing from the bank or boat?
@ the bank when on the river. We checked out Hadden’s Ferry, but prefer the channel rec area on Louisiana side.
@@legendaryfishing4362 who do you work for btw?
Temu car tackle is well worth the money ive tryed and buyed especially all there hooks and bite indicators well worth the money Trev from sunny cape Town south africa
Good stuff!
@@TheBuglemouthBass thank you
Hey Zac, my son would like to camp in that area sometime. Are there areas open to camping? Which road would you recommend we take to get to this area? I grew up here, but haven’t been below the dam in 30+ years.
@@KruiserIV yea there's a couple spots below the spillway, the Louisiana side.
@@legendaryfishing4362 went out for a few hours Sunday and caught a couple spots. Going back soon to fly fish for more, and some longear sunfish. Any idea if there’s public access to Pearl Creek? Or any idea what Haden’s Ferry looks like these days?
Nothing like catching a garbage fish 🤮
@@TimothyCurler no such thing as garbage fish only garbage people, stay classy 🤙
Teach a boy to fish, and he’ll never forgot how to!💪🏼
@@ThyShadowAngel anyone really lol she's been out fishing adults for years including a tournament we recently fished
Won't they ever jump out? And do you have any structure for them?
@@EugeneSmedlund I'm sure they could but I haven't had that happen. You could use garden netting to stretch over the top of that's an issue. I currently do not however I do plan on having some structure later.
He is curious for sure. He likes watching fishing and he knows I go every weekend
My son just turned three. When's the good time to take him fishing for the first time?
@@EugeneSmedlund as soon as possible. She caught her first catfish when she was a year and a half ago.
as a 13 year old hunter I love to see other kids getting into the great outdoors! love it man raising your kids right!
@@OperatorFullMetal thanks buddy
Yes he is!💪🏼
Where I'm from you don't even have to fish for carp. You just picked them up out of the water because they're so slow and there's so many
@@tbh1444 yea it's easy to get spoiled in places like that.
Making memories. Raisin them right. ❤️❤️
Thanks for the vid. Wish more people would pickup their trash. Absolutely blows my mind how trashy some people are.
@@KruiserIV my thoughts exactly. I remember being a kid and this place being clean.
@ same. I haven’t been down there in close to 30 years, but I remember having a blast fishing and swimming, and dodging giant alligator gars, and there wasn’t litter every 5 ft.
@@KruiserIV I used to swim with 6-7ft gar where the restricted area is now. My biggest gar is 7 and a half footer that's on here.
@@legendaryfishing4362 that’s huge! The area where we swam was a kind of fork in the Sabine. You could stand in both rivers and one foot would be cold and the other would be warm. One was clear, the other muddy.
Great video!
@@blindsowfishing thank you, I know it's a long one so I greatly appreciate the view.
That kid is awesome good work!
@@mucho73cobbcobb95 thank you
Awesome! Now that's a nice fish.
@@phlyinducky_pfd456 it was a great day, 6 fish with 4 over 20lbs.
Nothing nice about a carp. That's what we call a garbage invasive fish where I'm from

you are insanely good

@@chinofrs personally I prefer braid because there's no stretch.
@@legendaryfishing4362 ok thanks im here in decker lake rn and no bites at all idk if i have the wrong bait gear or something
Are they on the way to his house to arrest him lol
🤣 for what exactly?
Just got a Tempest Brolly I won from a CAG drawing. Always stoked to get BCT gear!
Couldn't agree more.
The net's too dark, the fish see that it as a threat. We know you're trying to help them, but they are justifiably paranoid! I remember The Great Crayfish Rescue of '97 (might have the year wrong) when there was a drought, and all the crayfish in a 40' by 25' pond were confined to a 10' x 10' puddle, less than 2" deep. All the poor crayfish could do was wave their claws at the surface, presumably to oxygenate the water. My daughter and I went in with what little we could scavenge for nets, and pulled a couple hundred slowly dying crayfish out, soon relocated to a nearby stream . There were numerous paw prints of raccoons around the edges of the pond, and a lot of chewed shells- they'd been eating well! I didn't save a species, but I do love crayfish, so, in my own way, I get what you're doing.
Oh hellll no id never ever allow a child that young near a snake have you lost your ever loving mind?!
😆 it's never to early for education and learning.
This man don't think much of his daughter that snake is stronger than that little girl is
My daughter probably has a higher education then you with that comment.
@@legendaryfishing4362And you're right! You're a great dad man, get the kids to love reptiles and animals at an early age. Keep it up!
Bro your so slow
I didn't want to break the net which I did end up cracking because I was moving it to quick through the water.
10:38 drum catch 13:27 blue sucker catch 15:54 crappie catch Hopefully this saves someone from wasting as much time as I did. No need to thank me.
Don't forget to like and subscribe for my action packed content.
Thank you
You’re not trying what are you waiting for?? Are you waiting for them to catch themselves??
I take it you don't have experience with these kinds of nets.
And if you don’t know that the nets move very slow underwater like most things
@@Jaybird544 yea, I ended up cracking one of the arms because I was trying to move to quickly.
Um this can't be legal ?😮
What do you mean?
@@legendaryfishing4362 um letting a 3 year old handle a Diamond back rattle snake is endangering her where I live CPS would be giving you a visit !
@@jerrymatzen1622 😅 pay attention, she's 7yrs old and it's not a rattlesnake it's a harmless water snake. The least you could do is pay attention before making ignorant comments.
Thank you, Zac, for doing stuff like this. Not only did you rescue a rare fish, but you also made it possible for us to see it. Maybe that will lead to another rescue one day. I wish that one day bow fishing will be outlawed in the US. It's not like they can release the fish if they got a rare one. Not to mention how they are decimating gar.
I agree 100%
I saw a video a few years ago of someone excited to catch one of those. Was at a dam, I think. Well, good for you. Edit: And especially good that you rescued it!
At 7:00, I'm thinking you should have brought Jasmine to chase them into the net.
I do to lol. They've flooded the place since this video was taken so when we have access again I plan on taking her.
Great Catch 👍
Fing stupid
😂 tell me how educating my kids about wildlife is stupid...I'll wait.
Wow this girl probably has balls of steel. Sorry for saying that
Lol she's braver than a lot of grown men I know 😆
Please call the department of social service😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
What an incredibly ignorant thing to suggest.
There's nothing wrong with teaching children about nonvenomous species of snakes.
Shes been around them her whole life, we used to have a python until she was 3yrs old but it died. She is being me to find a place to flip for snakes so hopefully more videos to come🤙
Nice video, Jasmine did a great job hauling in the carps
Sure get a workout hauling in those big carpers.
I'm really hoping she can get a 30+ this year
Zack like it😊😄🎉❤.
STUPID. She's not old enough to know what snakes are poisonous.
Snakes aren't "poisonous" first off and second THAT'S WHAT IM HERE FOR! I am teaching my children to respect wildlife instead for fearing it. I am not going to put my children in a dangerous situation. We have kept snakes and other reptiles as pets and will continue to do so. If you are afraid of snakes I encourage you to get educated and learn about them. The more people learn about wildlife the less scary it becomes.
Wow. Thats s big one. She did a great job and was so patient. She is a real fisherperson.
She did a great job. Trying to regain her world record.
Beautiful moment
Great job!
