I wonder if you really meant it; “my wife likes the strap on” 😂
I've had my 6dii since 2017 (I'm not a pro). Love it. Works great. I don't even know what a log is. I do know that it takes great pics and the video quality is more than fine.
thanks for the effort and sharing. helpful. thumbs up.
I have one of these too. Thanks for the feedback and confirmations. Your audio has left channel pops when you switch your recording. I can also tell you recorded this in different places. Use some really short fades (both in and out) to keep things clean. A better mic would be nice.
where did you get the Lbracket please? not had any issues with the f1.8 primes or the other lenses i have, in fact i felt some were too sharp 😊
I've just repurchased the 45mm f1.8 again and wondering why I ever sold it The L bracket it from AliExpress and for the price it's held up really well, no bending or parts failing just a good solid L bracket
Hey there, Gav! Bluebell's it is.. 👍
if you're buying one used, go for it, but brand new, just think about it a bit more. You're better off getting a older, but better, model with more features, in a much better made body (60D, 70D, 700D, even the 600D, 550D, or a D3300 from Nikon). The 4000D is the equivalent of a 450d from 2008, but with more megapixels, better connectivity and it shoots video, apart from that, the body has cheaper plastic, the AF system is pretty much the same, the screen is smaller and worse resolution wise. The sensor of the 4000D was first used in the 7D, released in 2009 as a pro APS-C sensor DSLR. It was then used in the 550d, 600D, 650D and the 700D. While these four cameras use the same sensor, they are better built and have more features (the last three have a articulating screen). But if you really want to buy the 4000D new beacuse you are skeptical about buying second-hand (I've seen some cases), you can, just don't expect wonders from it, it is as bare-bones as it gets. The sensor, while being 15 years old now, still performs great.
Hi, i am planning to buy a new camera for 🎥 youtube. Im getting a good deal on a 6D with a 24-105 lens. Should i buy it? I currently use a 60D
If it's the 6d mark II then yes definitely, it makes a great RUclips camera The original 6d however doesn't autofocus in video so if it's that one you're getting then that is something to keep in mind
Try reviewing the camera. I don't care where you are shooting the video, what camera you are using to record the video, all the lenses you've used and sold. Just review the camera and its amazing features!
It's not a review but I get what you mean
Actually I’d push back on that notion. That sort of review is so easy to find another one would be a bit redundant and experience with lenses is super interesting. Similarly I’m more interested to hear about features that are actually getting used over time and their benefits than the typical run through of features found in a normal review.
To add to that point, the only reason RUclips pushed this video on me is because I’ve already watched enough reviews of the camera body elsewhere!
Just traded some cameras in for one today. Loving the image stabilisation!
hey! can you recommend me tripods that go well with this camera? Maybe something small that also works when travelling without feeling too heave or not fitting on bags?
Hey the one I use doesn't appear to be made anymore 😅 I use the esddi ball head tripod but it's the same design as most the other cheap Chinese ball head tripods and folds down to a small manageable size for travel although if I'm really packing light like my recent trip across Europe I actually only packed a gorilla pod 1k and made it work 😄
I love the images I get from my OMD EM1 MK3 it's bonkers how mine keeps producing stunning photography New subscriber from me
Had my MK3 for about the same time as you and love it! Everything is in the right place, the on/off switch I generally leave on while walking around and let the camera go to sleep, preserving battery. I have the 12-100, 14-40 2.8 some others you mention but also find the Laowa 6mm f2 brilliant!
I adore my em 1's, I have the mkii and the mkiii. Amazing cameras.
They are definitely something special
Who sang the out song? Great review, just bought a 6d mk2 and have yet to really give it a good try. Thanks for the tip about exposing to the right.
Hey thanks for watching, the song was something I cooked up with some ai help from suno Just a fun little 6d mark II song to see out the video 😁
what camare u use for review of this lens?
Hey I used the Sony a7rii
this guy is the most amazing under rated photographer on youtube!
Great video Gav.I like this style change. Looks like a great location for a sunset shoot 🙂
hi Gavin, would love to join you for some video walks around Harlow. I got the exact same camera.
If you join the we are photo Harlow group on Facebook then you'll see our monthly free meetups, come along and say hi would be great to add to our little community of photographers
This camera is friggin awesome
What lens do you recommend for this camera, I have one coming for my bday soon
Depends what you want to shoot but I usually recommend the 50mm F1.8 stm It's a fun little lens and can take some good photos with it
Which Camara is better than canon eos 700d
If you've already got a 700d then the 4000d is not worth buying You could go full frame with a 6d or stay apsc and go for something like the 80d
Dump the variable aperture lenses, and get a fix aperture lens. Don't worry about all of the crap accessories that come with it in an Amazon kit.
Plastic mount sounds like a huge point of failure.
I definitely wouldn't mount any heavy lenses on it for sure
Really love your vids man, your shots are stunning!! But now I'm curious about what job you do for a living 😅
Thanks 😁 I do make money from photography but not enough yet so I keep my day job fixing things 😄
Nice images
Looks like I am the only one in the world being able to use just one battery on an entire day and still shoot a hundred plus of pics!
Gav looks lije Gay. Like the review, but I would go with Gavin or any longer name.( Not that there's anything wrong with that...)
9:53 "Don't Buy This." Yes i think i'll go for the 2000d instead.
The main thing I don't like about the A7rii are the diddy buttons and thin thumb dials. How anyone with gloves on can use it I have no idea. Apart from that it's a total bargain these days and a great work horse. Re battery life I turn Airplane Mode on, Pre AF off, and shortest on time setting and turn it off and on a lot.
Yeah the buttons are tiny and difficult in even thin gloves, interesting about the airplane mode thing though as that hasn't occurred to me
Good camera❤🎉
You can remap the on off button to the right side several videos on how to do this.
wow, me gusta
i just bought this camera and im having a hard time uploading the videos to my phone .on the camera conect it on saying this "movie format not supported.
I have no experience with cameras at all but this Christmas ( December 24th 2023 ) my mom told me she bought me the same camera I need help on how to use it how do I start with it? :)
All the base level canon cameras are super simple to use Start in auto and take a few shots, get used to composition and framing of your shots When ready you can look at learning manual mode and advancing your skills even further
@@gavtakesphotos oh wow well like I said I have no clue but how am I gonna put it together like is there things I need like a storage card?
You'll need an SD card, I usually use lexar or SanDisk For basic setup id recommend checking out the camerawize photography channel as there is a step by step guide to this camera on that channel
@@gavtakesphotos oh thanks!
I purchased this camera for my mother-in-law for the holidays. I realize its limitations and I did indeed feel how "cheap" it felt, but I tested it out and it gets the job done when paired with a decent lens, especially for absolute beginners who will continue to only casually use it. She lost her old camera, which was a film camera, so she's been out of the game for a while! I put it in a new case with my old Canon EF-S 18-55mm and 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lenses, so she will have IS now. Although she adores her grandchildren, nana has unfortunately been parentified much more than a grandma should be my sister-in-law and there will be a lot of little interested hands grabbing for this camera I assume, so my reasoning is that it is replaceable should something happen. That combined with less intimidating features is why I went with this purchase. She really wants it simply for occasional family portraits and casual photography.
Thank you for your honest review.
Thanks. Very helpful
Great video mate! 5D classic is the first and the only Canon camera equipped with a sensor designed and developed by Kodak.
Stunning camera. Im on my third. All three were like new when bought second hand. Images are sublime, particularly for portraits.
Nice video! I just bought one, I do a lot of time-lapsing with my old A7S2 at night and I have lost some great shots because I have only one camera. So I hope it will not dissapoint me.
If this was like 100 bucks then yeah but at like 300-400 an amazon, its a waste your better off going on ebay and getting a used sl2 or even 77d can be had for less than this camera goes for
Exactly that, hate that people are recommended this camera when better cameras can be had for the same if not less, I recently picked up a canon RP for £450 while not the best camera it's miles ahead of this one
for people interested it is a bit better equivalent to 16mm 1.4 on apsc (like Sigma 16mm 1.4) but for full frame. 16mm 1.4 apsc is equivalent of 24mm f 2.0 so this one is quite a bit even faster lens
Would this work well with sport’s photography? I like to take photos when I go to baseball games. I don’t want to break the bank but I also want some decent photos that don’t look fuzzy when zoomed in
no
Battery life? I only use genuine Sony batteries, i find i get around 300shots from sometimes upto 400 i leave the camera switched on, so its not as bad as folk make out, depends what you do with it I guess, just my experience with the R2.
Good video! I've had my A7RII for a few years now after doing alot of research, i watch all the vids on the latest cameras and still cant justify selling my r2 as there is very little to gain. I mainly use vintage manual lenses taking photos of mainly modern architecture, started using them on railway photography too, autumn is fast approaching so shall use it for some woodland photography. For the money you can't really beat the A7RII even in 2023.
I agree 100%, just got my A7Rii today. I mounted my Canon FD lens and its my permanent rig when using my FD lens.
Maaaan trekking out to a cool spot only to find the sun doesn't feel like coming out; especially if you're bringing someone else along -_- I think this happens to everyone, but it just goes to weed out those that are patient enough to come back the next time and try again, and those that give up. Time for pancakes, then.
Frustrating to say the least. Annoys me when I get up at silly o’clock for sunrise and just get crap skies, but will keep doing it anyway 😂 The pay-off of an epic sky is well worth it. Going to photograph the deer rut at Richmond Park early on the 7th October if you are interested Gav. Let me know, cheers!
The frustration is real 😂 I'm Oncall that day at work annoyingly but that means there's a chance I'll be in area anyway, fingers crossed
@@gavtakesphotos No worries. I will just need some low lying mist, clear skies and sun rays… so not much to ask 😂
Nice photo keep up the good work👍
Cool🎉
