Trying to clean up the grain sample has been a life long process for JD customers! 😂
We’ve heard those rumors, but we didn’t want to assume anything! 😜😂
Great video
Thank you for watching!
It will be more fun to farm near Bone Gap. There will be a lot more Yeild swings!😀
That’s for sure!
That 637 is a great disc, we had one for years. My only advise is keep it under 6mph or it'll ridge like you can't believe.
I was keeping it right at that. It was doing an excellent job. Thanks for watching!
If you haven’t bought a finisher yet for the price jd makes an older 726 mulch finisher. I have one and a lot of guys In my area run them they work great for what they run in price compared to other popular tools.
I’ve been looking at those. They’re at the top of my list. Thanks!
good luck on the new adventure
Thank you!
Doing a fine job there! Hello from Texas
Thank you! Appreciate you watching.
I had 4 tenths here, heard from that to 2 inches around me, got maybe half the nh3 done custom, had rain held off would of maybe had under 200 acres left
We still have a few hundred acres of tillage left. We’re glad for the rain for sure.
What residual are you spraying? Really enjoy your videos.
Basis Blend. Thanks for watching!
What model sprayer do you guys run? We're looking at a 3330 Patriot with AIM comand a light bar and foamer on a 90 foot boom and a 1,000 gal tank. It Is clean. Is there anything in paticular that we should be looking at.
Ours is a 3240 without AIM command. The thing we check the most is the knee pins. That’s the pivot point for the suspension. They’re a known wear item, especially if you run floater tires. But it also depends how many acres you go over. They are easy to replace if you stay on top of them. Ours get done every 3-4 years.
@farmingwiththetaylors ok thank you
Yes i always said outside case is quiet outside. Oir massey you could always hear the cobs hitting the chopper
For sure
Picked up 80 acres here nearby me. Get it after harvest but kicker there is nothing to harvest all weeds, grass volunteer wheat and a few dc beans harvest wheat and planted beans epic fail never sprayed it, waterhemp 4ft tall. I assumed when i got it thats how they would leave it and yes guessing so
Good for you! I’m sure you’ll get it under control.
I like the in cab hardware in the auger tractor. Care to tell what it is? Illinois resident here. We like are guns here.
Thompson Center Venture in .223. Always at the ready. Thanks for watching!
Thanks
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching.
Too many cob pieces in the tank.
Agreed. We didn’t have enough time or acres to mess with the settings. Thanks for watching!
I know is bigger, what size header against your own would it take, is there much difference is hp and tank storage? Great that your harvest went well 👍
This machine could handle a 16 row corn head. It has more horsepower and tank capacity than our current combines. However this is a class 9 combine, while both of ours are class 7. A class 9 red combine would have the same tank capacity, horsepower and grain handling capacity as this one. Which we may be considering in the near future.
@ I would imagine that either make way a lot of acres and good price would be required for all to pencil out. All do a 16 row head match the planter, 17 acres a hour all day would knock out some acres over 10- 12 good days
Sure would!
Red guys going green?🤣🤓
Not quite 😂 We’ll take the free machine use though!
nice looking combine
Thanks for watching!

What is ur impression versus the Axial?
We liked it. However we still like our Case machines better. Our next long-format video will be about it!
@farmingwiththetaylors Im a red guy but not an anti Green. I love the design of the s7 serie. But 4 sure I prefer the simplicity of the Axial flow. Some people will argue they prefere to change a belt or a pulley than the cvt hydro..... That's true. If ur cvt broke in the field, ur finished But it's rare Take a full beginner and put him in the Axial versus a JD. Just for start up the combine, it's easier on the Axial. And in the field, I'm sure he will plug the JD, will hve big losses ect... Even more in the wheat or barley. U plug the JD and ur day is fucked too, not gonna happen in a axial. Axial is a beginner friendly machines. Let's say than u are just the driver, if u got the money, the time, and a good mechanic guy, JD is a good option too
The Best❤
Thanks for watching!
Neighbor went to 20 inch beany by me, hasnt said much on yield, seems deere is pushing thr 20 on beans i think one guy on youtube doing it bt mattoon. I do think it would help
We think not having to plant into tire tracks or have rows run over with 15” would be very nice.
@farmingwiththetaylors agree 100%
If you thinking of changing systems, are you considering 20” corn? Would that suit your area?
Most likely not on corn. We’re set up on everything for 30” corn. 20” beans are a possibility though.
How did the green paint go?
It went well! Our next full length video is about it.
Great video thank you
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad you guys went to the green side
It was just a demo 😜 We’ll have a full length video with our thoughts and opinions out soon!
@@farmingwiththetaylors cool
NO been meaning to ask what you thought of the 4408
We liked it, we still prefer our Geringhoff though. For whatever reason Case heads tend to fluff up on some varieties very badly. This would be the 4th Case head we’ve ran in the past 6-7 years, other demos and such, and they’ve all done the same thing.
@farmingwiththetaylors yes I told our casey location have no use for a case head, I have my hood raised up anymore keep stuff going still nothing like our gerringhoff was. Was down to 4 to 4.5 a lot late afternoons was running 5 to 5.5 prior before.
Are you considering a folding 12 Ron on a 8240 with 3 trucks? 2 less drivers or 3 with a bigger cart?
Yep, a 12 row makes the most sense for us. Probably one bigger cart as well. The less hands we have to hire the better.
Would you need to go up a class on one of the combines? Can the planter with its own globe plant for a 12 row head or would it require changing also? Have a good harvest
Yes we would go up to an 8250 for sure, maybe bigger depending on if we wanted to go big on one of the bean heads. We can get by with the planter we have for now, but our goal is a 24 row in the near future. Thanks for watching! If everything goes well we will be done with harvest on Monday.
Ran the combine full time since gonna say 2003, ran it a lot while on lake land soe deal, had case since 2013 from masseys. Hired guy shelled 25 acres of corn October 21 2017 wife was in hospital having baby, other guy ran is some as well that morning was picking that evening myself
Always a joy to watch. 💛
Thank you for watching!
Oh that tube is a pain in the butt did that 2 years ago, man that sucked, helped neighbor do his 5 days later
We took it back to the shop that night and got it cleaned out really good. No problems since then thankfully.
Oh that tube is a pain in the butt did that 2 years ago, man that sucked, helped neighbor do his 5 days later
Curious yield by plant date
GOOD SHIT🤙🏻🤙🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks!
Got .65 last friday evening and some hail high winds knocked down some corn green snapped as well, hailed out some milo as well and beans started really just east of westfield all the way to north of marshall, i was comming home in combine almost to mill creek lake bridge and it unloaded on me, havent been in a rain like that in a long time, combine cab was rocking around last mile home
We heard you had quite the storms down there!
Thank for sharing like your videos from Macomb Illinois 😊
Thanks for watching!
Get a battery pack, my pack will last 2 days on fieleview, hired hand brunt up charge port going from the cab, neighbor did the same to his, turn down the screen helps a lot about half way give or take where you can see it good still
Thanks for the recommendation! We got a different usb adapter. If that doesn’t work we’ll give what you do a shot.
@@farmingwiththetaylors wife got them from Amazon,
oh my gosh, so good to see ya'all on here. Back in the day, I was married to Clarence Ingram and we were your neighbors. We lived on the Gwinn farm. Good to see ya all and hope you have a safe harvest. Is Brad, I think was his name, your dad by chance? Thanks for making this....I'll look forward to watching more.
Thanks for watching! Brad is our uncle. Our dad is Craig. 😁
Can you tell us more about the features of this farm?
We will try and hit that on the next video. Thanks for watching!
Love seeing the red equipment! Have a safe harvest. God Bless
Thank you!
🫛
I've operated both there is very little difference in the accuracy of the two. Both the kinze is cheaper to operate.
Both are great units! John Deere just happened to be throwing around extremely low numbers 😁
Sad our food has to have so many chemicals in and on it. Gmo just isnt what our bodies were made for. Farmers should be allowed to grow natural food which is how God made things to work
We always try to do what’s best for everyone while also maximizing our production.
Such beautiful plants!
Thank you! The soybeans are looking good this year.
Lots of people use those old deere planters and tractors from the same era
They’re good old planters. As long as the chains are turning they’re planting!
Heck got guys here mow with mowers every 2 weeks
Crazy
Kool videos
Thank you!
I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would plant at 10 mph,you break stuff at 5 mph,but hey who am I to tell someone how fast to plant. Have a great day
Obviously if the conditions aren’t fit, we only plant at what would be appropriate. But between working our ground extremely smooth, having little to no rocks and todays equipment being built extremely beefy we’ve had zero problems planting at that speed. We’re not going to do things intentionally that we know would break our equipment. Breakdowns mean downtime, we can’t afford to have downtime. These aren’t the JD 7000’s from the 80’s. These are whole new machines.
The newer John Deere planters appear to be giving some u-tube farmers a fit this year.
Ours was very good to us this year!
Have you tried playing with you vac pressure.. higher speeds typically take higher vac... I use to run one where I use to work and it wasn't uncommon to be at 25-27 on the vacs and could pretty consistently run 10 mph at 99.8 singulation. But yes the flats are harder to get good singulation out of.
Yep, we’ve played with it a bit and can get better with some tinkering. Thanks for the input!
Are you running case auto steer? And the John Deere monitor for just the planter?
That is correct.
@@farmingwiththetaylors how are you doing that? We’ve got a 340 on a 1795 and we’ve gotta use John Deere auto steer and aftermarket switch. It’s a pain
Using a JD 7000 receiver for shutoffs and speed and Gen 5 monitor to control the planter. Auto steer is all factory Case IH with Pro 700 and 372 receiver. The John Deere components are completely separate from the Case IH tractor. Works very well and very easy to set up.
