Carey Mansion/Seaview Terrace is better known as the Great House of Collinwood in the classic ABC TV gothic soap opera, "Dark Shadows" (1966-71) which spawned the two movies, "House of Dark Shadows" and "Night of Dark Shadows" (1970-71,) the NBC Miniseries "Dark Shadows" (1991) and the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp theatrical film, "Dark Shadows " (2012.) The mansion was featured in every episode of the original "Dark Shadows" TV Series, which a whole generation of school kids (and adults!) faithfully ran home to watch every weekday after school and work. (I was one of them and I later made a pilgrimage to visit Carey Mansion in 1997!) "Dark Shadows" was a daily supernatural soap opera. It chronicled the lives and loves of the aristocratic Collins family of Collinsport, Maine. Their home was the great mansion, Collinwood, built by their ancestor, Jeremiah Collins in 1797. The most famous character of "Dark Shadows" is the urbane Barnabas Collins, who was cursed by his jilted lover, the maid, Angelique, because he left her to marry her employer, the rich, spoiled Josette. The insanely jealous Angelique, secretly a powerful witch, transformed Barnabas into a vampire in her wrath! Barnabas became immortal and an anti-hero, always defending the Collins family through the ages against all manner of monsters, ghouls, ghosts, werewolves, witches, warlocks, zombies, and assorted human fiends. He time-traveled and had adventures with various generations of the Collins family of the past, and with their counterparts in an alternate universe. It was quite an adventure and highly addictive! No one dared miss an episode of "Dark Shadows!" Barnabas was so popular as a character (the show was America's top TV series back then!) that his charismatic cousin, Quentin Collins, was introduced: a devilishly handsome playboy, rogue, scoundrel, ladies' man, bad boy--and werewolf! RUclips has plenty of "Dark Shadows" posts, but I wanted to put in a good word for Carey Mansion/Seaview Terrace's better-known fictional alias: the great gothic mansion, Collinwood!

Not really sure what happened with the audio. You could’ve had something to do with the wind and the phones, noise or Production but that would be really aggressive. Likely culprit for the K2 is the phone. Definitely looks like a really cool place to investigate.

Ron DeFeo was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic. The Lutzes knew about the murders. Why keep the furniture? It is a huge house that takes a lot of furniture, so why not keep the furniture? The haunting NEVER happened, the Lutzes admitted making the entire haunting up decades ago. Those photos the Warrens took have also long since been debunked.

That photo of the little boy,I have studied that photo,and I think it's more like a little girl in a boy's shirt, because if you look to it's right shoulder, you'll see it has long hair going over the shoulder,and if you enhance that photo it looks pretty compelling!!!!!
