I am GB team, I wish we had more self defense scenarios during the classes. Years ago we had some but it seems we have less and less now. May be a decision from HQ to focus more on bjj techniques.

Attacking standard Judo throws from the BJJ posture is a big challenge. Looking forward to seeing how BJJ guys who are serious about stand up begin to solve that problem in the coming decade.

What keeps you from losing balance and having your opponent move from underneath you as you do this gator roll guard pass. I have followed your instruction to apply this pass in sparring, but a few times I have lost my balance, with my opponents almost taking my back. I wonder if I am not sufficiently stabilizing the position?
