well this are way underrated, i have a set over 10 years now, and it is amazing how good they are. unfortunately the small ratchet was missing when I got it new, they have a hard life at my shop but facing it amazingly after 12 years, 2011 was the year if I remember correctly

The model designation codes seem to vary from Country to Country. I'm in Australia and I own a M18 ONEFHIWF12 and a M18 FIW2F12. What is the cross reference numbers for U.S models ?? How do I know if mine are a 2967 or a 2690 etc etc ??? It doesn't specify anything on the tool or the box, only what's mentioned in the 2nd line. I'm trying to find protective boots for them and they list the boots in American code designation only most of the time, so hence the confusion. Milwaukee have a very confusing model coding and it frustrates me to no end !
Generally US models have 4 digits and the asia Australia and Europe models are about the same. Personally we prefer to use the EU website to get codes. Hope it helps!

Question for Milwaukee specialists: I have a Milwaukee M18 FMTIW2F12 that has an interesting bug. When I press the switch, the machine spins and diode number 3 (third gear) lights up for a long time. Only when the diode turns off is it possible to change the direction of rotation and start again. In addition, the maximum speed (diode number 3) cannot be changed. In order for it to work at all and not to wait for diode number 3 to go out, I remove and put back the battery. That means to change the wheels on a car that has 5 screws, I have to remove and put back the battery 10 times. Once I press the switch, I must not stop until the job is done, otherwise there will be a long pause or re-inserting and removing the battery.
maybe it would be good to bring it down to your service centre in your region. It probably is a switchboard issue. If you are in Singapore you can bring it to us and we will be able to service the M18 FMTIW2F12 for you
