Top Pond 8/18/24
Water lilies (Nymphaea Wanvisa), water lettuce, water iris, water angel's trumpet. After 1 month the 3 water lettuce and 3 water hyacinths spread to cover both ponds.

I ordered 100 Bullfrog tadpoles from Toledo Goldfish. Came in great and health condition. Added them to the top outside pond. Also moved about 15 trap door snails from the bottom pond to the top pond.
The crane that killed a fish may have gotten some tadpoles too. Now that i built the cage around the pond hopefully the crane stays away. Water snake liv...

Male Cardinal feeding baby Cardinal 8-7-24
Просмотров 914 часов назад
Once they hatch, cardinal young are fed by both parents for the next 25 to 56 days until they learn to feed themselves. Spiders and insects are almost exclusively what they feed their young. While in the nest, baby birds get their liquid needs from the foods they eat. Northern cardinals produce 1 to 3 broods per season, each with 2 to 5 eggs. The male will tend to the young while the female sta...

If that's a northern water snake it's non venomous but it still has bacteria in its mouth if it was to bite you that could cause problems

Obviously it's possible but I used to catch these snakes all the time when I was a kid and was bitten several times over the years. Never had any problems from it.

@@HeavyInstinct lol had lots of those snakes in upstate NY when I lived there couldn't get anywhere near close enough to catch one they would be gone lucky split lol. And I mean they were everywhere there was a lake stream pond etc

@@martybritton267 Yeah there was a small lagoon in the town I grew up in that for some reason had a lot of them. I would usually just wade out into the water to catch them. These and garter snakes were the ones I used to catch the most. I did manage to find a couple of hognose snakes and one fox snake back in those days as well but that's about it.

Same here. I used to catch them all the time when I was a kid. I've been bitten several times by them. They are very aggressive but they do get used to being handled if you decide to keep one as a pet.
