“Roadfood: Discovering America One Dish at a Time” hosted and produced by Misha Collins. Collins digs-in to regional culture by showcasing top local dishes and the unique communities that embrace them. Roadfood winds through pockets of the country where the people are as textured as the cuisine, showcasing America’s diversity, rich culture, beauty and mouth-watering flavor.
Jane and Michael Stern, founders of Roadfood, have been traveling the highways and byways of the USA since 1977, uncovering the best local eateries for their audience. They are the winners of three James Beard Awards and are weekly guests on public radio’s award-winning The Splendid Table. In addition, they are regular contributors to many national publications and host gastronomic tours across the country. Roadfood is Your Guide to Authentic Regional Eats.

I just found your video and I love your love for the Open Faced Hot Turkey Sandwich. We need a support group! ❤️😂😭😎
My sister Diane Stewart once worked at that Bakery while she was in High School. Many many moons ago.
My sister Anna and I went to the Cle Elum Bakery with our Aunt Jane and Uncle Solomon when we stayed in Cle Elum the summer 1983. When you first walk in the scent of fresh baked goods entice you towards the counter to look and buy… so Yummiliscious 🤩
I was there at the end of 2016 and his grandchildren were simply the best, the food... Priceless!
The only good thing about Augusta lol.
It’s not the only good thing, it’s one of many, expand your horizon in the city and stop only watching the news for your information.

BEST BARBECUE EVER!
Your nasty liberal stance and seeing your absolute hatred is beyond sickening
Difference makes stronger
Love your video! We are all Americans!
I had the best trout and eggs I ever had there in April of 2016 and I never forgot it!!! AND the best coffee. It was truly one of the best meals I have ever had in my entire life.

vog.fyi cool
All good, but thought John's was meh. Another good home-spun Mexican is Loco Charlie's on Sunrise between Vista Chino and via Escuela.
wao what a humble chef she is
When in Amarillo go to Blue sky,My thai,El tejavan off i-40 .if your staying in town and want a traditional breakfast go to either Pancake station or jimmy eggs . want mexican go to la choza or la pasadita for quick burritos. Want asian to go lys cafe or ichiban .
The first bbq place I visited in 1988 as a new Augusta resident. Awesome food!
I remember going to Cle Elum bakery a lot all the way up until I was 10 when I moved away
i deliver food to that place from Labatt Food services nothing is organic and alot of frozen products 🤫😂
so they lied?

Sausage and seafood. I hate that combination. The sausage smoke COMPLETELY overwhelms all the delicacy of the seafood. A lot of "seafood gumbos" in Texas feature sausage, which, last time I checked, cannot/does not swim in the sea. I definitely want to visit Perry's Pig, tho'.
Great writers-- funny yet extremely insightful at the same time! My favorite is "The Encyclopedia of Bad Taste". I'm also reading "Sixties People" and "Way Out West". Look up their lecture in Tucson, AZ--you'll be laughing!
Hopefully will y'all Saturday Morning.
Yay! My hometown!!
You look like you wear boxer shorts.
I had no idea that our towns little bakery was considered a hidden gem, i know that it is an *AMAZING* place but didn't think it was a hidden gem, one of the highlights of an otherwise pit-stop town.
The maple bars really are good... but they can sell out early!
Whoever ends up here, and it's definitely worth the short detour off the highway, be sure to go across the street to Owen's Meats and get some of the best beef jerky you'll ever have the pleasure of chewing on. :)
One of these days I will make it over there....from Joseph, Oregon
This gives me a reason to visit Palm Springs! Thanks Michael and Jane!
Michael and Jane - this is wonderful, without all the Shpielkes of Guy F!
Fabulous! Love these non-chain, hometown places!
YAY !
Jane & Michael - true pioneers in food, and my heroes !
