I came here because that amp is described as a "modified vibro king", but I really don't get the idea. The unmodified Vibro King sounds a lot better to my ears. This amp is very boomy, with overbearing mids bordering on the obnoxious. I checked out other demos, with similar results. Is it just the speaker choice (V30 type WGS) or was the entire amp modded with that sound in mind? Taste is a funny thing.

Nice playing and sound. Did you try that amp with any alnico speakers? I wonder how it would go with 4x10 or other bigger combination of alnico speakers. Is this with 6l6 tubes?

What is the first song ?

Very nice

First part of the clip is played with Volume at 9 o`clock, Master at 17 o`clock and OPC at full power/15 W. Second part with Volume at 13 o`clock, Low cut switch on, Master at 15 o`clock and OPC at medium power/6 W. Harry

That has to be the worst sounding Plexi I’ve heard in my life. The clone is only slightly better.

This amp uses 4xEL91 NOS power tubes. They are very good sounding, reliable and long standing tubes and pretty inexpensive. We stock them in big quantities, thus they can be easily replaced to a new set when needed. Harry
