Day 4 and feeling better. This is not my first attempt but I have been on the Sinclair Method for 10 months now and I feel so free. I have been around alcohol all this 4th of July and I was not in the least interested. I have had a total of 40 alcohol free days so far. Naltrexone has saved my life! I can’t wait for day 5 and beyond. Thanks for your channel ❤

I have only just seen this thankyou so much Sam and Ellie for answering my question. Upon writing this I am 37 days AF I got very poorly after my last drink. I think the WHY dawned on me that I don't want to feel this way after drinking I am only starting to feel better now its been a long journey you are so right it really is a much bigger picture. My husband and I live alcohol free all year round. We live on a sailboat out on the ocean where anything can happen anytime and we aim to meet all of life fully present. It is a superpower to not have ones senses impaired in any way. This choice has greatly improved our lives and our marriage. We don't miss alcohol in our lives

As much as I enjoy listening to your podcast every week, it’s such a joy to be able to watch it as well. Especially when you have such a special guest as Coach John Lewis on! He was one of my amazing coaches from the TNM June Pride Live Alcohol Experiment, which lead me down my alcohol free path. I’m nearly 6 months AF now (with a continued huge thanks to both of you, Sam & Ellie), and John was there from the beginning to help open my eyes and free my mind! Much love to all of you! ❤

I don't think so. virtually every smoker I know has a relationship to smoking that can be summed up by "this exact make & model of cigarette is the one I buy. I smoke X a day and get angsty if I can't". the "smoke break" is an institution in every office. people who have the same relationship to alcohol that a typical smoker has to tobacco are hard core alcoholics. as a culture, we can and should de-centre alcohol in how we socialise. I hope we get to a point in my lifetime where "I don't drink" or "I'm not drinking" is something people don't even think to question. I hope we move away from shots & binge drinking culture. I don't think it's anywhere close to "on the way out"
