Scottish Sgian Dubh and Damascus Flint dagger
Is it really sharp?
Are they real Damascus steel?
Pretty sheath. I wish it had a wood core.
I got this and the frank James very nice bedt knife iv ever owned
Nice! I just got the Johnny Ringo! Great knives...
Hey, what's the part of the stand that took the stray blow made from?
Despite being a Han Jian I feel like playing this blade to the wudang set I know. Has made a greater connection from my lower dantian to my hands than any other Ming or Qing Jian I’ve found on eBay or the pawnshop.🧐the riddle of steel I guess
Love the sword where did you buy it from? And is it battle ready?
blade is not straight, blade is bent,0:23 video time,See there
Honestly I believe all Sanity knives and jewelry are made in Pakistan. I commented this on their Facebook, and was blocked from making comments plus my comment was deleted. I get that Pakistan probably has some awesome knife makers, but running a company saying American owned and operated? Trying to pass it off like everything is hand made in the states kinda makes me pissed off. I want to see footage of their manufacturing of this hand made products. I'm getting a little sick of this gung-ho America 🇺🇸 talk, but everything almost for example being sold at our American proud Sturgis rally is shit made it China and Pakistan. I mean how can we be proud of this? It's not American anymore. All that said I like alot of Sanity products, I just want people spending hard earned money to be told the truth!!
@@tylermccaffrey176 You are absolutely right, totally agreed,These are obviously not at all made in America,It's made in Pakistan, and there are always good and bad makers in any region,But honestly speaking they should sell under real country of origin,This is disappointing situation all over,I can understand your concerns,I am not saying their products are junk, but i saw bent in blade, and pointed there,it's the quality control,.The Sanity have some exciting products,i like too.
Do you know, who is the actual manufacturer of the knife?
That would be my weapon of choice if I ever got into a fight with water bottles.
Damn, that's a nice looking wrench
What do you think about this vs the very similar looking "white knuckler" brand?
White knuckle is good but I like sanity better for sure
The white knuckle version is much larger same style tho the Damascus its what I like about it you can tell it's quality
How long did you soak the mats?
I have both of these bad boy blades and they are awesome, thank you again for your shout out, your awesome 👌
Poor water bottle never saw it comin
Hope u know u should oil the blade after touching with hand
You put a good edge on that Saber and is cut amazingly well soft and hard target 🎯⚔️.
Thank you
Cool! Where was it made? China? Pakistan?
Purchased from a company in Florida USA. Don't know if they made it there but it is great quality so it doesn't matter.
Beautiful cuts and beautiful lawn
Thanks for posting this vid. I'm considering buying one now because they are on sale. How is the knife holding up after using it for a few months? What is the thickness of the blade?
functionally very similar to classical Greek swords and early Roman swords.
Where are these mats from?
Looks like Pakistani pot metal junk knife.
For the price of right around 100$ u.s. it has to be lol. A knife of that caliber from a blade Smith would be 400$ plus
@@countryboy-pk8xm yup, its junk
I saw an add for these on Facebook and had to see if anyone had reviews on here. He is the only guy.
@@countryboy-pk8xm lol
the yan ling dao is the best thats to badass
only issue with chinese clay tempered swords is they scratch very easy.. they are for show less everyday practice ..
respect the water bottles and carve them down. a Dao needs a left and right cut. down.
Nice. Very similar to the LK Chen Tang Heng Dao. Great video!
Thank you very much!
Holy...! What a beautiful knife
Nice cuts. Really like that one from them. May have to pick one up eventually.
Very nice. Those all look like fun swords. I have one of theirs and I feel like they're a good company that makes a quality sword. Good unbox.
Really like the Yan Ling out of the 3 you've got there. May have to pick that one up. Nice cutting too.
Thank you
@@scottsswordstuff5663 welcome
Pretty accurate cuts. Well done
Cutting tatami is definitely harder than it looks no doubt about it. You definitely have have a few decent cuts in there. I've seent they have a coupla pointers given in the comments which were good ones. If I may be so bold, try to make clean 45° cuts. Tatami tends to have the least resistance when cut at this angle. Just subbed. ruclips.net/video/KoV47HA6APw/видео.html This is one of my tatami cutting vids. Hope you check it out
Thank you for the advise.
pretty brave messing with the missus's clean white washing
haha .. Nope I bought that special so I would not hit a window.
I really like that sword.
Nice job with some beautiful swords. I like the plain wood scabbard instead of everything always being black. Thank you!
Nice film. More about Polish fencig and historic sabre... szablotłuk polski
why was cutting it so difficult with the first sword?
I am going to put most of the responsibility on me. I was probably not getting good edge alignment. Both swords have good edges. The Niu Wei is a very flexible Spring Steel which may could factor in. In slow-mo I can see the it flex allot on impact. The Yan Ling is a much stiffer san-mai with a T-10 core Also the Yan Ling had a square handle that helps keep the edge alignment.
Great video because you didn’t hide your struggles. May I express some observations? We want the mat to resemble our enemies. So top of mat should be no higher than your head. This will improve your striking angle. Mats should resemble a real “body” which is firm. Tie mat every 5” for firmness. Soaking is overnight. Just let some excess water drip out. Great video my fellow Floridian!!! (sharpening is very important)
Thank you for the advise. Maybe I need to cut the stand down a bit or make a new one. I try not to hide my struggles on these videos. Except the occasional complete miss.
Awesome video brother 👍,, I love your sword, thing of beauty, just beautiful, I think that people soke those mats in water, but you know a lot more about that than me my friend, your collection is so awesome, thank you for sharing your awesome cutlery
I did soak the mats. Still learning how long. First try I don't think I soaked long enough. Second try (next day) I think they were too soaked. I should have let them drain a bit so I was not fighting the water but the mat was still softer.
@@scottsswordstuff5663 i guess we all learn as we go, but that was awesome, beautiful sword, very professional done video,
@@scottsswordstuff5663 normally the mats should be soaked for about 8 to 10 hours. Then let the water drip out and cut within an hour.
Excellent!
Many thanks!
Beautiful sword. Thank you!
Glad you like it!
Just think if that was your dome, ouch, smashing pumpkin 🎃 this was awesome,
That sword cuts really well !! How would you compare its cutting ability to your other LK Chen swords ? Thanks 🙏🏼
The Yan ling Dao is also really great. See two others cutting Tatami. ruclips.net/video/Tcq7pN8k9Xg/видео.html
Wow 😳that's a monster 👹, I love this, that's some marauder steel right there, outstanding demonstration and a beautiful piece of cutlery added to a epic collection my friend,
what's the most difficult thing about test cuttings?
Getting alignment right is very important. Off by a few degrees and you push not cut. Also I have to keep reminding myself to let the sword do the work. Not try to force it with extra strength.
passively a product of the spice and tea trade during the age of sail.
is the handle of the Chu Jian slippery?
Not at all.
this weapon must have had an interesting history to it.
I tried to look and could not find a lot of details outside of that BCI has on their site. At least none in English.
both are central Asian influenced designs but with East Asian elements added to them.
I swear I've seen you copy and paste the same thing elsewhere
