Ninja Gaiden II - The Dark Sword of Chaos opening

The opening sequence of Ninja Gaiden II
I always thought this is leagues better than Mega Man 2. That surely was iconic but this one really gives off "best nes intro" vibes🔥🔥🔥
Now, this Opening Music is...... "Cursed" 1:45 Me, chatting Ashtar without form: and Ashtar, The "Music" is stopped, Watch your Back! *An Undead Attack him from the back after the song ended*
If only the OG trilogy had H&S remakes. I wish I could beat Ashtar's ass like it was Ninja Gaiden Black.
Epic intro!
The Best Intro in video game history. Ninja Gaiden 2 also had the best soundtrack of the NG series handsdown.
Just three words: something's going down!
the 1990s, the golden age of retro games.
I love this song
This intro goes hard as hell.
Is that Soma Cruz?
This is the first video game cut scene that I vividly remember.
When the games had passion.
Epic ❤
The sound effects for that series were better on the NES than the one from SNES, played both versions, but I liked the one with the NES better, the cinematics was the best part in all three games, right after a boss fight, there would soon be more all the way every times you killed a boss there was more to see all the way to the final boss... Loved that game series, but I kindda wonder, the main character is named Ryu, but right from the get go on the first game, Ryu's dad is named Ken, I'm just not sure if it's just a small coincidence...
This still is one of the best game intros ever
I want so bad for Tecmo to remaster & re-release the original NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy along with the Arcade Ninja Gaiden game in one compilation collection for both Nintendo Switch & Playstation 4/5. Come on Tecmo, make it happen🤞🤞
Those last two lightning flashes gave me goose bumps the first time I played this in my 1990. This was more intense than the first game.
The Dark Sword of Chaos.
😭🙏
Take me forever to just beat one level
Listening to it thru a real lightning storm 😏
The Ninja Gaiden trilogy along with a few others were the Dark Souls of the 8 bit era.
.LNA.CRX.VCX.LR.T.T.R.N.E.
this scene had me hooked on my first ninja gaiden game ever. i never beat it but man it was awesome.
My teenage years
The Ninja Gaiden's were the first to implement cinematic to games, and what an intro was this from the NES the best. It chills me to the bones, watch it every now and then...also the 4-2 song from Ninja Gaiden the first, awesome song.
Just a lesson to all the would-be villains out there: If someone asks what you are going to do about Ryu Hayabusa, the answer should never be nothing.
To this day, I am still amazed at how complex of a piece this was. The music alone had to be straining every bit of 8-bit programming available.
Thus begins one of the greatest NES cinematic experiences ever coded.
I would start this game, watch the intro and press the reset button so I could listen to it again. Later on I learned that the intro replayed automatically after a while ^_^ One of the best game intro's ever!
The 666'th like is mine.
I want this ng back not the 3d stuff we got. It lost its soul. Its time for redemption.
You must never had played Black.
Me arrepio até hj
@@MatheusOliveira-cx7wf verdade!
@@MatheusOliveira-cx7wf caramba! Essa é nova. Nunca soube disso. 😆

Even at 41, the music for this game is still good. Imagine what it would sound like with current generation standards. And to this day I wonder: Was Ashatar pulling the strings for Jaquio or the other way around 🤔
i personally think the 8 bit sound is what makes it great and unique sounding. i never liked most of the SNES remasters of NES games cause of how soft and less crunchy the sound chip for the SNES sounded.
Totally agree. We have better equipment but these compositions just sound better@@Hypno_BPM
@@Hypno_BPMdefinitely! I'm into this era of music as well as modern chip music, and texture is a huge aspect. It's why some rock guitarists become known for their sound... They're all using guitars, but some do a bunch of tweaking to find a new sonic texture. This song actually makes perfect use of the crunchy and possibly even shrill nature of that waveform at those high notes (I guess most music using very high notes can sound or approach sounding shrill, but this exaggerates it) but it really works! Even at the lower notes it's just so sharp (texture not note accidentals), so it just has a ton of impact! Same with chip music that uses super-fast arpeggios! It was done as a trick to fake chords from monophonic sound channels, but on their own, they have another unique texture that is just really fun to hear in music.
@@Hypno_BPMit's also so cool that they at least had the ability to also create those effects like vibrato, used brilliantly here and and in other tunes like DuckTales "moon theme", so they could still express just as much emotion in this music.
I love Megadeth's Hangar 18. Awesome song
peak of NES intros.
i wonder how's Old generation gamer will react if there's is a remake of ninja gaiden series in ps4/5
Still gives me goosebumps when I watch it 32 years later. I have own a beaten 1-2 but #3 Ship of Doom I have never beaten.
How come? 3 was the easiest and 1 was nearly impossible...
Still haven't beat 3 damn hard . It's just me though haha
Tamat game dulu sega batal rilis pandai ps 2 pc
This was the first game I ever beat. It's burned into my DNA.
The most epic intro of all time
that's absolute cap this intro is laughable by today's standard and annoying music
@@thegermthatlivesinsideyour9328 maybe you don't know nothing about the golden era of video games you modern era bozo
From what I recall, wasn’t Ashtar more or less observing that confrontation from his palace across the mountain range?
The music in this game is one of the best.
What are the chances that the guy in the beginning of the game was Clancy, Foster, or the Bio-Noid in Ninja Gaiden III?
best intro ever?
the best intro every games...
First time i played this was in summer 1996, still i cant get why Ashtar thought it was a good idea that Jaquio was killed when he is the strongest of the villians as well very undeadly???
