I love the Doobie Brothers but the drummer leaves something to be desired.

Bad sound/pickup/mixing board utilization. Sounds distant and tinny. Could have been coming from an overhead speaker at KMart.

It's amazing to me how important the sound mix and where you sit is at these events. I LOVE this song. It's one of my all time favorites and I was at this show and didn't expect to hear it. I was on the other end of the field and Joe Elliots vocals were mixed terribly on my side. I spent the entire show feeling bad because I thought the guy had completely lost his chops. Hearing this recording restores my faith that while he's not 80's Elliot anymore, he can still deliver. In total contrast, Steve Miller opened this show and his sound could be heard clear as a bell even out in the parking lot. His techs nailed it. Thanks for posting.
