The pacing of this game is something else. Especially on Zonnebeke and with good rally placement, which is something I noticed myself being the ones placing the rallies myself (Canadian officer of assault section) The enclosed spaces of the trenches combined with how easy it is to die along with close spawns allows for the meat grinder to be given new meat almost constantly, or at latest every ten seconds. It can be seen in how we exceeded 1k deaths in the round This overall makes a very fun gameplay loop that sells the clusterfuck nature of ww1 trench combat. If any attempt to revive the game is made, this has to be preserved because this session was some of the best fun I’ve had

It’s a very good game, it just lost huge population really quickly. Bought it on day one 😢

They cannot even do so with Squad 44, let alone this game that wasn’t even alive in the first place

Really cool that you help the game to come back! Beyond the Wire can have a bright future if OWI recognizes the opportunity. The market is full of modern shooters, ww2 shooters, futuristic shooters but only a handful that depict WW1 in a somewhat realistic manner. Considering that many battles of WW1 were absolutely insane in terms of intensity and density of firepower it is certainly no "boring theatre" for gaming. There were probably no battles after WW1 that involved so many troops per area. If they manage to move this to UE 5 and have destructable battlefield, like craters forming from artillery, or buildings to be demolished it could really be something else.

Man I miss Beyond the Wire, I joined during Operation II, I was obsessed with the game when people were playing it, unfortunatly the devs killed it, but I hope we can revive this game as it is really fun when many people play it.
