A clean installation of Mac OS downloaded from Apple store, through a bootable drive solved the problem for me.

THANK YOU! My issues was pretty much identical on a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 with MacOS Sonoma 14.0 Beta (23A5337a). Color Filters fix did not work for me though. I had to change the Refresh rate from Promotion to 60hz and it's all good. Not ideal but good enough for now.

The right side of my Macbook Air 13 inch (2020) model suddenly had this grey area and suddenly started flickering overtime yesterday. As of today (before I found this video at least), the flickering spread across my entire screen. I WAS ABOUT TO CRY. I Googled and tried out every possible solution there was and decided to give RUclips a shot. Tried the CleanMyMax X solution and it worked! (for now, I'll update again if it goes haywire otherwise). The grey area is still present though, but the flickering is gone (if anyone knows what the issue could be/knows how to fix this grey area matter as well, please let me know).Thank you so much!

The flickering stopped but there a little off a bite of flickering on horizontal slightly blurry what might be the problem? It is on the left side.

GO TO 4:25 TO SEE WHAT THE BIG FUSS IS. Firstly dude you had one job to do and you wasted 4 freaking intues taljing about it. seoondly THIS does not solve anything thirdly if youre using your computer for editing this could be the worst solutions since chaining the color scale litirally shifts all the display colors. WASTE OF TIME
