Would this help with camber at all?!
perfect for a newbie that just had same exact goose ball installed in my truck and had no clue how to connect ,basic and best video I found ,only problem my goose ball air doesn't seem to work when I tried adding ill figure it out thanks
trash.
Get out of here with that nonsense. You probably shop at target
Thank you very much great video
Great video! Got my golf cart spot on! One suggestion, my dad told me you can also adjust the inner tie rod end by turning it in or out which helped because I maxed out my outer tie rod end as far in as possible and still needed a couple turns more. Thank you!
This works mostly. I did pretty much what you did, but went for a test drive, checked it again and it was WAY off. Took a few tries to get it consistent. I have street tires.
That's setting toe... Proper alignment is it not pulling... You didn't even drive it
I have the exact cart and lift, but I can't get the camber to align. I can't find any adjustments.. any advise??
It says alignment but all you did was set the toe.
Awesome video answered all my I'm someone who thinks that if you're a single person in this country and you're making anything from 50 to 100 thousand a-year why wouldn't you move into an RV and have it painted you know plenty of places to park when your stuff looks taking care of a nice
This RV is a homerun except for the fact that you need shoes drain hoses to drain the toilets which to me is stupid after all the effort they put into this unit😢
What's the name of the lift kit you have?
Retired Professional Mechanic: Good video, but you never check . How to measure setback. Take tape measure measure from center front rim to center back rim. Let's say 110 inches. The other side should be the same. If not something bent/ broke. Your control arms could be bent rear-end sitting Crooked, especially after lift. Frame bent dog tracking. Of setbacks is off you could have some terrible steering. When doing alignment on cars, it's always checked no different than a golf cart. God bless.
Is this going up 29 towards 40 ?
Yes it is
Thank you so much!!! My dad had to go to the hospital so I had to move his 5th wheel from the reserved camp spot. Although I am good at figuring things out I was glad to find a video that confirms I was connecting correctly. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the video. The golf cart that I'm trying to align seems to only have one tie rod that adjusts its on the right side not on the left side so I don't know how to adjust both sides since there's only one side of the tire or the golf cart that has that tie rod adjustment that I'm looking at in your video. Is it possible to reach out to you directly?
Just hooked up to our goosebox for the first time last week. Wasn’t sure if I was doing all of the steps right so this video helped. Thanks
Glad to hear it!
If you could use a selfie stick or have someone else record while you walk through and talk about features, we could see it better. You're too close to to everything to really get a good feel of the layout. :(
YUP !! It is WORTH IT !!
Who the hell puts a tv right next to a stove!?🤯
at least it goes down XD
Don’t like the floor plan.
News flash, DRV does not make their rigs any better than anybody else, they may have nicer furnishings but that's about it. Their roof is a joke
I would have to disagree with you as far as build quality. The build quality is vastly different. Yes the furnishings are nicer, they use real hardwood, etc. but their fit and finish is superior and doesn’t fall apart. They use better materials. Their frames are stronger. They have thicker side walls. There is a big difference that you are getting for the price difference.
That a rude and ignorant comment.
How is the drone in the cab? I see 50/50 on the forums of people saying it’s there or isn’t
Soooo, they just ruined the 397th. This is an awkward design. I have to watch TV from the strangest angle past anyone in the kitchen? How many people were you trying to accommodate in your two person lifestyle with this. This is not an upgrade to the 397th...or the 351.
I don’t think it’s meant to replace the 397. But I have no problem with the design, mainly because we camp with 5 people. You can sit directly in front of the tv if you only have two. But for me, we have a super sofa in our 397. It’s nice on rainy days to have a place for multiple people to sit down and talk and watch tv. The full bath in the 397 is useless. The shower is so small that even our kids hate in, so they use the master. This gains you a foot of space in the garage, a lot of counter space, a bigger master, and a lot of usable living space. Obviously it’s not the perfect solution for everyone, but there is an audience. It’s also not the “norm” for fifth wheel toy hauler designs. It’s innovative.
The design is innovative!! FT for 2, add guests as needed!
Thanks for sharing Looks pretty easy
Great tutorial! Thanks!!!
It is easier to put a wrench on the rod itself. There are four flats on it to turn for adjustment, 12mm I think. Your measuring idea works but more accurate finding the spindle height in relation to the tire height.
They quit serving BBQ at 10:00pm. Sad.
hi hope its lilly from gymnastics i saw you on the swing
What you could do with that.
ste sm TRAIN
I heard they got 24/7 BBQ
They have 24/7 a lot of things. Awesome place. First time there plan for an hour and $250. 🤣
Is this New Braunfels, TX?
No, it's Crossville, TN
Direct and to the point. Nice job. 👍
A perfect tone.
Absolutely!
We saw that unit and felt the paint job you could feel the lines of each paint color. Not impressed with any Grand Design .
😘❤️👍
Great vid man 👍Love the intro too. You just did videos on the DRV and on GD’s new 410 floor plan at Hershey. All good stuff. So is there going to be a change in your future maybe a new TH perhaps?
We'll see. A lot of factors going there, but it's possible.
I have seen that brand before
Very nice. It's a heavy one for sure.
I'm guessing about 4,500 lb Pin weight , that's a 4500 dually
It's actually about the same weight as my 397TH, which pin weight is about 3600lbs unloaded. Also, just FYI a 3500/350 has a higher payload than the F-450 if that's what you're referring to. A 3500/350 dually will pull this with no issue at all. Unloaded the camper is 17,300 lbs
@@TJOffroadLLC absolutely people definitely need to do their homework before buying a truck bigger doesn't always mean more payload
The bones of GD are still made like crap And by the way: any unit that doesn’t give you access to the water lines and guts I would be weary of buying; just some common sense
I agree it would be nice to have an access panel. I had to get into the water lines on my 397TH. It was 4 screws to remove the panel. Wasn't that bad. And really, they do a pretty good job. Of course, I'd prefer a manifold system, like what's on the DRV, but I certainly don't have an issue with my GD. The 12"/10" frame is a solid frame. They do a better job than most other "production" coaches out there. They are better insulated and built the same or better in most ways than any other keystone/forest river product, outside of some of the high end, like Riverstone, for example.
@@TJOffroadLLC True I think Jayco products out due Granddesigns, both build quality and looks, but a lot of these rv these days are being built sloppy with no quality control; and I’m speaking about Jaycos on down GD, forest river all these mediocre manufacturers
@@Drvinnieboombatts I think that's all personal preference. Personally, I put Jayco in the same category as the others. I personally don't care for the Jayco look. Their quality is better than a number of them, but probably on par with GD. Just my opinion. However, GD customer service is far superior.
@@TJOffroadLLC well for one I’m talking about Jaycos Eagle products but let’s look at the bones of each of their trailers: Jaycos use Ibeam frames; they vacuum bond their sidewalls and are using Azdel : GD does not; Jaycos roofs are also superior they have 20 year protection on their new tpo roof, they also build their roof stronger than GD. So the bones of a trailer is what I’m speaking on and yes go look at their Eagle products; it’s not preference they all out look better 😂
@@Drvinnieboombatts not all I beams are created equal. Big truck big RV did a great review on that. But with that being said, I do like Azdel on the Jayco. Grand design has done some testing with composite materials, but personally, I have not experienced any wall issues with my grand design. Generally speaking, Thor owns Jayco, Winnebago owns GD. That speaks volumes in terms of quality itself. Also, GD has the most thorough factory PDI of any of them, and they do a better job than most at not having many issues out of the box because of it. As I said, Jayco is a solid product. I look at fifth wheels, mostly toy haulers. And the Seismic Alpha is a solid rig. I think it's hard to go wrong with their the Seismic Alpha or the Momentum as production coaches.
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐦 🤷
Nice. Thanks for taking the time to go over this DRV
Great video 👍 Thanks for taking the time to go over the new 410TH floor plan. Only one question. Did GD give a timeline on when these would be available to order?
Thanks! And based on my conversations, you can order a production unit at this point, but they are still working through pricing. So my anticipation is the next few weeks more information will be available surrounding pricing and ordering.
@@TJOffroadLLC awesome, thanks.
How is the drone when MDS kicks in at cruising speeds?
Andrew Howard no drone in my opinion. You can though hear the exhaust a bit when cruising but it's not annoying at all. Wind noise is much louder. When it's mds mode and you give it a bit of gas and makes it upshift it makes a bit of a pop...sounds really cool
Andrew Howard Great to hear! What rear gear ratio does your truck have?
II Vindictive II mine has the stock 3.92 gears with the 8spd
I'm a little late.... but I always turn off MDS. It annoys me. It's not the drone, just a different sound. And mine has 3.92 as well.
