Thank you for those wise words and observations Frank. Your voice needs to be heard and I always enjoy your videos. Have you ever thought about becoming a minister? I agree with all you said except that part regarding Jesus not being the Son of God. Jesus was the Son and he was a human just like you and I. The fathers of the church got it right. We know this bc these articles of faith can also be verified by a humble and fervent search in the heart of man. We can say that whenever the Holy Spirit manifests in the material world by entering a human body that this person for that moment could be called the Son of God. Again this has been verified by the saints of the early church. Frank pls do not give up and work out your salvation while you still can. The knowledge of the Way has been preserved but until recently has not been available to the masses of masses. We need real Christianity that transforms ppl Into their true potential. Into the Sons of God which happens to be the whole reason for us being here. You can verify that too. God bless. B

S'cuze me? "The teachings of Christ... the basic humility that formed Western culture, that created our idea of human rights..." WTF???? Frank is STILL SO deluded! The idea that the basic humility of Christianity created our idea of human rights is, at very least, highly debatable. Which human rights ideas does he have in mind? Slavery? The Church had 2,000 years to say SOMETHING, anything at all, negative about slavery. Nope. Nothing. In fact, through most of that time, the Church OWNED slaves. Saw nothing wrong with it. And TBF, Christ never mentions slavery once. Nothing. Even Paul, who spent his entire career running around cleaning up all the moral issues that Christ appeared to have overlooked, says nothing about slavery, except this ONE thing: if you have slaves, you should treat them fairly. That's it. The idea that you can OWN another human being? That was like the air we breathe: so ubiquitous it's invisible, can't be questioned. It's the way God ordained the world to work. Nope, Slavery wasn't on the agenda for the Church. Not until AFTER agnostic or atheist moral philosophers questioned it, developed the philosophical argument against it, and made it a huge political issue. Then, yes, Christian figures like Wilberforce DID rally their parishioners IN THE ANGLICAN CHURCH against it, and the Women's Bible Societies in the Methodist church DID lend political force to it. But I'd argue John Stuart Mill was way ahead of even these crusading Christians. And note that the Church of Rome was adamantly opposed to the anti-slavery movement. Too radical for the Church of Christ. Women's rights? Nope. Same story. Again, it was the English Liberal Philosophers, including Mary Wollstonecraft, J.S. Mill etc. who laid the groundwork for women to win legal status as human beings under the law. NOT THE CHURCH. And NOT CHRISTIANS. Christians of all denominations were aggressively misogynist, denied that women should have individual legal rights: Christianity has consistently been a conservative force upholding the status quo. Christians like to pretend Christianity is the root of all morality They like to pretend it's the source of all personal & cultural values in the West. Bullshit. It's exactly the OPPOSITE: Christianity & the Church have fought the adoption of Western Liberalism & liberal values relentlessly for hundreds of years. It's still happening! Trump came to power & the Republicans - ALL OF THEM - were scrubbed from the Republican Party, due to the political rise of Evangelical Christians in America. Good God-fearing misogynistic racist Christians. Who intend (if we take them at their word, and we SHOULD) to wind back the clock on America's justice & legal system to 1876, when America WAS GREAT: women knew their place, had no legal rights & no vote, and Jim Crow laws & regular lynchings ensured anyone not white knew their place & stayed in it! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? Make America racist & sexist is what that means. And apparently - & appallingly to outside observers & a minority of Americans who insist on remaining civilized - the majority of Americans who bother to vote are just fine with this. Prior to 2016 you could at least embarrass most Americans about their racism. Not since Trump was elected: he's made it absolutely acceptable for many Americans to own their racism. Wear it proudly. WOW. You don't get your morality from your Religion You have religious views & ideas to which you're absolutely committed. You then square your pre-existing moral system with that ideology, rationalizing as required. Which is why religious people can be so incredibly immoral, unethical, mean - & still proud of themselves as "Good God-fearing believers." Religion may not be the root of all evil, but it's a very strong support for much of it. And I'd argue it motivates a check on evil far less frequently than believers would like to, um, believe. About THAT, they're definitely delusional. Homework assignment Congrats to Frank for successfully ditching the ideology his father Francis indoctrinated in him (& me too, in my teens). [If you haven't read his books, you should - they're interesting, a good read, and overcoming brainwashing delivered by such an accomplished ideologue is no mean feat]. Congrats to Frank on renouncing the religious evangelical bullshit he grew up with. I suggest keeping a low profile is where I would start Frank. Humility rarely defeats Fascism. Resistance is the only path to follow I feel. You are a Preacher Frank. You can't stop preaching. I found these figures and assume they're accurate. If not, please correct: "As of 1:51 p.m. ET on Nov. 6, Trump had 71,790,131 popular votes and Harris had 66,985,924. Trump currently leads Harris by approximately 4.8 million votes." "Donald Trump received approximately 74.2 million votes in the 2020 presidential election, according to the Federal Election Commission. President Joe Biden received more than 81 million votes in the 2020 presidential election, according to the Federal Election Commission." So, it looks like Harris received 14 million less than Biden in '20 and Trump received 2 million less in '24 than in '20. So, TRUMP DIDN'T WIN THE ELECTION. WE GAVE THE ELECTION AWAY by not voting. MAGA was dying by at least 2+million but we revived it by not voting. We had it....and threw it away. If that doesn't make you sick, nothing will.

Well those three men referenced herein are getting ahead financially and politically powerfully so despite their hubris it currently has served them so as Americans so often promote initiative and hard work has been paying off. Frank, you are a thoughtful and intelligent man. But the true hubris is thinking the source of the problem is also the solution. The toxic mix of politics and religion started in the 60s partly due to the work of your family (as you acknowledge). And this hubris has resulted in people leaving the church in rising numbers. The religiously unaffiliated are now the largest demographic as of 2014, even more than Catholics. This fall is coming. And you have hubris in thinking that Christianity 'enabled' atheists. It was humanists like Erasmus who produced a new Greek translation of the Bible and helped drive the Reformation. His Greek New Testament and Latin translation became the foundation for common tongue translations. And Martin Luther was inspired by this and used Eramus's Greek translation as the basis for his work in German. And really, it was the Gutenberg press that enabled everyday people to have their own copy of the Bible that really drove power away from the church.

You know they never attacked women when they adopted a new word Ms. I was one of those who remember that chain occurred. I was a single mother and carried some shame. I realized that men dont identify their marrital status so I won't either. It was awkward at first. I will never give people grief for finding ways to feel respected and that they belong.
