How MUCH yarn?!- finishing up the yarn count!
That top is so cute where is it from ? Did you make that .
Thank you ☺️ I did make it, all of the project details are here if you're interested 😃 www.ravelry.com/projects/Justacrafter/4k-jumper
How wonderful you have a beautiful home. Good luck with your craft market.
Thank you so much! Very pleased with what I have managed to do ☺️
❤❤❤❤well done
Congratulations gorgeous
Thank you! 🤗
This was really helpful! I love that you included the mess-ups with the lining, though I feel like I’m going to make the same mistakes anyway trying to put my own chalk bag together.
I always include my mess ups 🙈😂 makes things a more interesting watch and reminds everyone that nothing is perfect, glad you enjoyed it
Yeeeey can’t wait to try this! Subscribed! Hope you post more tutorials soon!
Absolutely planning to post more tutorials, my next one lined up is a knitted beanie for the winter, just waiting for the house to allow me the time to make it 🙈😅
"Yeah... I don't think I can emotionally deal with this right not... chocolate time 🥲" Love it

That paint can take several weeks to cure on the stairs just prime it wait a few days then thin layers of paint with a fluffy roller , some paints just can’t handle heavy sanding so attempt thin layers wait longer and do about 3 layers of paint
You are making great progress.🎉
Awww i'm so exited for you Jess. Both you and Dad make an Amazing Team 💗x Can't wait for future content my Lovely. Very Proud of you Sweetheart xx
Cutting plasterboard - score along your measurement firmly with a sharp stanley knife then snap the board firmly along the cut - it will snap cleanly, then slice through the remaining cover paper which will hold it together at the break with the stanley knife again to separate the pieces. You’ll get a nice clean cut edge with very little (nasty for your lungs) dust (wasn’t quite sure what you were doing on the wall behind the bit of plasterboard you were fitting though)😄 You (and your dad) have achieved quite a lot in a month as a part time job though!
AHH that's great advice thank you, defo much easier and less messy than my method 🙈😂 the wall was rotten so I needed to replace the plasterboard before tiling, tbh I wasn't even sure what I was doing (fake it till ya make it) but I wasn't too worried about the final look as I knew it would get covered with tiles anyways. Thanks, we've been working hard trying to get the place move in ready 😀
On the tape measure use the little lock button when you pull the tape out - took me a while to suss that out after a few sliced fingers!
Def get a mask - not good to breath in all that dust into your lungs
The tea bags and your guinea pigs are so cute.
When are we getting a house update. Love watching it become your home. You’re doing really well.
I'm hoping to get another update uploaded in the next couple of weeks 🤞🏼
Well done Jess. This brings back memories of when I bought my first flat with a garden. Some of the happiest times in my life. Enjoy.
Absolutely love the garden, not managed to keep the bird feeder topped up tho so gotta encourage the birds to find it again, low-key really wanna try and tame the birds so they take seed from me 🙈😅
Enjoy..... before the carbon cult bans it
I was really worried about the sustainability of using it but my (albeit limited) research suggests it is actually a more sustainable option depending on how it is used
Your doing amazingly well great job just found your vlogs so another new sub 🙌🏻
Thank you so much!! It's great to know you're enjoying the content 😁
Great job. Looks so much better.
Awesome work Jess! Both you and your dad are doing a brilliant job!
Thank you so much! Slowly but surely getting there, dad's main job is to fix the bits I mess up 🙈😂
@@Jess_makes_with_yarn 🤣😂😍
❤
Get some okeefs hand cream , comfy gloves and eye drops just incase anything gets in your eyes and a mask
Buy a carbon monoxide detector and put it in that room and if it goes off call out a gas man asap if not don’t panic most boilers especially old ones make so much noise
Do a watered down cheap paint 50/50 water paint before you put on your actual paint that you want so the plaster doesn’t absorb all your paint
I’ve only just found your channel and been really enjoying what you have been sharing. Thank you.
i couldnt hear what you do for a job?? congrats on your new home, your really starting to get on with it now....
I'm a children's nurse, gives me insane shifts but more time off in one go 🤷🏼♀️ especially if I choose not to sleep 😅🙈
Oh.... thats a grest rewarding job...well done on your house purchase.... @Jess_makes_with_yarn
shouldnt be left with that amount of rubbish to clear, it should have been dealt with by the seller, other than that, excited for you. cant wait to see you put your plans into place xx
Lovely video. Have you thought about some packaging for your items you are selling. Plus loved your display but maybe some height on your table for your bigger items. They sell some slices of wood in the ranges which would look nice on your table to displays things on. If you had some packaging then customers might be thinking of gifts ie for Christmas etc.
I did think of packaging, but most of my ethos is minimal waste, I do wrap things in a twine ribbon but I found that people were wanting to look at the full scarf, blanket ect. I am defo considering upgrading my table displays, I have got some cash string lights ect but didn't want to spend too much on the display until I know if it's something that I'm going to continue doing
❤
im a new subscriber hello from manchester love watching you transform your new home exciting times for you x

Thank you, it's pretty hard and tiring NGL but it's all starting to come together now
Good luck in your new home. Think the bird was a Jay. Looks like it will be a lovely place to knit.
I can't wait to finally have some furniture and be able to get all cosy and spend all my time crafting again 😁
@@Jess_makes_with_yarn won’t be long.
Oh bless your heart gosh you are going to really enjoy your home I'm so excited for you a wonderful feeling xxxxx
Really enjoying watching you transform your home. You are doing a great job.
Thank you, I'm pleased you're enjoying it, I'm enjoying every minute of it too 😁
Oh Jess, you so reminded me of myself when I started to DIY years ago 😀 The first roller you were using for the ceiling is one I would use on a flocked or brick surface. For smooth surfaces I would go with a smooth roller, similar to the one you used on the walls. When cutting in, give yourself a lovely wide border, that way when rolling the walls you won't have to go so close to the ceiling. Lay drop cloths or plastic on your floors to protect your flooring from paint spills (or cats who step into the paint when you aren't looking and then traipse paw prints everywhere, gotta love them!). Always do two coats, it fills the patchy look and gives a deeper, fuller colour. Painters tape around light switches or unscrew the face plate so you can easily paint without trying to cut in around it. I learnt a lot of DIY from my dad - painting, wallpapering, floor installation, kitchen and bathroom refits - and I'm so excited as I now get to teach my son, who like you has just purchased his first home! First homes are never perfect (unless you've had a new build done), so you're basically tidying or fixing up the previous owners style and DIY attempts. But you'll be surprised at how much you will learn to do yourself - and take your time! Do what you're capable off, don't be afraid to give it a go and always use a professional when and where needed. You did a brilliant job on mum and dad's laundry area so high five to you! We all have to start somewhere and it's always good to see someone willing to give it a go. You'll be well set for the next one 👍
There's different kinds of rollers?! I thought a roller was a roller 🙈😂

New to your channel 🙂Nothing beats the excitement of being in your first home - well done! and definately get your solicitor to sort the previous owner and his left behind stuff, cheeky bugger 🤨 I would love to see more vloggy videos as you make your house a home. It does take time but it's so worth adding your personal touches and making how you want. Congratulations again!
AAHAHAHAHAH GIRL 😂 I need updates!
Check out the linked video to see how I escaped 😁🙃
Really excited for this journey your on , watching this house become a home ❤
I'm super excited too, I've no idea how it's gonna turn out 😁 hope you enjoy it
Anything big and grimy pop in the bath with dish washer tablets and the grime will lift off easier
Hi new subscriber .Get in touch with your solicitors who will get a letter to previous owner to clear his possession away...A house has to be left clean and clear❤
Oh I don't mind, I've been raiding it to find what might be useful for my DIY projects in the future ☺️
Karate chop it 😁 great technique.
??????
I brought a house 😁
this is a blast :)
Thanks, I certainly had a blast doing it 😁
Aww!! Your guinea pigs are adorable!! Watching your video while I crochet🙂 Your makes are AMAZING!!
Ahh thank you ☺️ it's quite funny cuz the pigs defo have their favourite yarns, they love to chew acrylic, but they sniff and run away from any kind of wool fibre and just ain't interested in the cotton stuff 🙈😂
VERY GOOD!❤
That’s good so far
❤❤❤❤❤
I love it girl😊
love this!!!!☘❤
This is so cute 🥰
