In Britain we say "arse" not "ass"
True! 'Arse' has that classy British charm, doesn’t it? Meanwhile, 'ass' is out here sounding like a shortcut Americans took because they were in a rush😂

I am Scottish, I can confirm that early voice recognition things such as Siri could not recognise my accent at all! I had to put on an English accent to make it work 🤣🤣
Classic! Siri probably thought you were casting spells instead of giving commands😂 At least your English accent got a workout! My British accent sucks big 🤣

Very much so! I lived in Portugal and Canada, my Scottish accent was often commented on. "Willie" does have a translation, it is as you suggested "dick"

champagne, lasagna
"Champagne" comes from French, where "gn" sounds like "ny" (as in "canyon") and the final "e" is silent. "Lasagna" is an Italian word, where "gn" is also pronounced "ny." English kept the original spelling but used their own pronunciation.
