Cute! I think my grandkids would like these!❤
I was wondering if you would show how you thread the floss into the needle that would’ve been nice to see
@decarlashittu78 I linked to it, it might be in the description and I know it's in another comment Here it is again 😊 instagram.com/tv/Cfu0G2CMnbv/?igsh=N3hmZ2lyZjJ4Z2ln
Whenever I do it my thread comes out any suggestions???
@Mariam-lz1bc it has been awhile since I've done this, I remember it doing that... I would say it's really important to keep the need tool straight up and down when when punching into the fabric, I think that helped me when I was having that issue and I really hope that helps, keep at it!
Thank you, so so much!! Your video helped me a lot. Plus the Instagram video of how to thread the needle 🪡🖤 #AMAZING!!
I am leaving for Florida on July 1st and will be there until July 15th. I want to try latch hooking. My grandma might be getting me one, and I will have plenty of time to do it because I am out of school until August 19th. I am a college student.
NO HELP AT ALL!
Super cute! Thank you for sharing. It's always nice to see someone actually making the project.🦊🧡
The painter looks and sounds very young, well done!
What's that got to do with anything, sounds creepy 😂
Hi there what is the fabric called you used?
Damn what’s the ratio girl I lost my instructions
Preparing your water 1. A day before you’re ready to create your marbling art, take a container or jar and ask an adult to fill it with exactly 10.8 fluid ounces (320ml) of boiling water. For best results, make sure the measurements are exactly right. 2. Now pour exactly in one spoon of carrageenan powder into the hot water. Again, be very precise. 3. Stir the mixture lightly. You may notice some clumps that don’t dissolve. Don’t worry about that - you’re going to leave it for 24 hours, so they will eventually dissolve on their own. 4. If you prefer to make a bigger batch of the water mixture and use it over time, just make sure to always use the same proportions of water to powder.
This was also my first try at needle felting. I think it would have been better to have made the body/head first. My ears, feet, and tail are all too long. However, I am finding that I can tear off the loose ends of those pieces and needle them to the head and body to enlarge it.
This really keeps ur mind focused from other things alright y’all, and keep on latching alright y’all!!!
Thank you so much!
I want to use White Crayons on a Black T-shirt
Never tried it! I'd love to know how it works out!
Thank you for the template have been looking everywhere
I jave this kit but I dont have the instructions. What ratio is the carrageenan to water? I cant find the instructions to this kit.

Could you use a hair straighter for this?
Fun
i wish there was a disclaimer in the beginning that she messed up because i was following along and now i messed my kit up!
How much?
I'm not sure what you're asking. If it's for the price then I found this one on Amazon: a.co/d/dlel8gJ I don't sell this though
Great idea !
On the instructions it says Separate six strands into individual strands . Use two single strands at a time
Pretty sure I mentioned that I messed that up, but either way, yea just follow the instructions.
They now sell a kit that includes the needle at Walmart, along with a llama design and a pineapple design. So, 3 in 1 designs and thread (only one hoop) plus 1 needle (two threaders). The actual packaging seems unbranded, though the online listing chose it as "Janlynn". But the cactus design is exactly the same. It was $9.
Wow! The pineapple is the same as the kit I bought from Michael's too! That seems like a great deal, thanks!
It it's my understanding that rocks need to be sealed on the bottom as well if they are going outside because otherwise the paint can left for the moisture going in from the bottom! Have you not experienced this? Just trying to learn from your experience!
Smaller rocks I seal the entire thing, top and bottom. With the size of this slate and the location of it I just sealed the top. Go ahead and seal the entire piece though if you're really concerned about the moisture. I know most varishes don't want to be in direct contact with moisture anyway and aren't a true waterproofing solution. I think the one I used said 2 coats for outdoor use. I'll see if I can get a current pic of this piece and see what the damage is.
Here's a link to the update I just posted on Instagram instagram.com/p/Cs1w2Luvs4t/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== It's still looking great!
Excellent work and great 👍 teaching 😊😊
Thank you 😊
It's been 2 years, how well has the shirt held up? My kids would love love LOVE this!
It has definitely faded a bit but the design is still on the shirt. I think it would be great with kids for sure! I might need to do a follow-up to show how the shirt has changed.
Just posted a quick Instagram update for the shirt! It still looks really good and I hope you get around to trying this out with the kiddos! instagram.com/p/Cs1yMLVPNt7/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Okay but it doesn’t say where she got the tool itself from ??
My tool was from Amazon but it's also sold at Michael's and is usually on display with this kit
I got one from Walmart
Horrible instructions
Hi Aaron, I assume you're talking about the kit itself and not my video. Maybe I can help if you have questions?
Those turned out awesome! I had not heard of beaded embroidery before, it's very pretty!
Thank you! Yea the idea was new to me, but it totally makes sense that you can sew beads to fabric. It was a lot of fun to make!
Also I'm happy to see you're still checking out my videos! I'm in the process of figuring out craft kits, especially for the cactus project. I know you mentioned it being hard to get supplies sometimes and I'm sure you're not the only one so I thought it'd be a good idea to try to make that a bit easier. I have my website up now so feel free to reach out if you have questions or comments about any crafts you want to do!
@@RODesign that's an awesome idea!! I will check out your website! I live in a more rural area, so any big box craft store is at least an hour and a half away and I'm at the mercy of what they have the time I visit unless I have enough I need to make it worth paying shipping. I was able to find a tiny terracotta pot at Walmart and made your cactus craft, it's SO cute!
@@thefarmista yea exactly! I know I just went to multiple craft stores today because the items I needed were in stock at different locations 🙃 And I'm so happy you were able to make a little cactus of your own! 🌵
These are gorgeous!! The spider one 😍
Thanks Melanie 😊 I love how easily it came together but how awesome it looks, definitely a fun project!
These all came out so nicely! Are you making more for your shop?
Thank you! I thought about adding them to my shop. I might make a couple of spiders and add them soon. Unfortunately I didn't plan all of my fall stuff sooner so at this point I'm already planning to add for winter holidays!
hiiiiiii
Hi Lynda, thank you for watching my video.
Thanks for the shout out! Your cards came out so cute! 😍
No problem 😊 I figured mention it at the start so more viewers know and I'm so happy you like the cards ❤
Such a cool project!! Love the added miniature details and that you even edited the original packaging!!
Thanks! I really love working on these small projects, I'm so happy with how this turned out.
Love this tutorial!! Great intricate detail work!
It's such a great kit! This snail is my new favorite thing
nice work...what type of paint and sealer did you use..?.
I used Ceramcoat all-purpose sealer and FolkArt multi-surface paint I also recommend using Ceramcoat satin exterior/interior varnish for a final few coats after the sealer and paint especially if it's going outside
So glad I found this video... Just got two of these from Michael's. The embroidery floss panda and a larger yarn rainbow one, and two different size punches. So far I'm noticing the embroidery one is a lot Easier than the one using the yarn (i also noticed that the larger punch is a bit broken so that may be why I'm having some problems. Your video really helped clear up some things! And yes, I found no need for a window to see the lines. Fun little time waster lol. I want to try a tufting gun to make a rug but figured I should start small😂
Happy to help! And good to know about the yarn. I have one of those kits too that I should get around to at some point. Thanks for the heads up!
Are you using hot water or cold water
The instructions say to use hot water and then let it sit for 24 hours
How do I even use the tool I’m confused :(
I'd love to help you get started. Were you able to thread the tool? Where are you stuck?
@@RODesign omg thank you for responding but in the instruction manual I get lost after passing the thread up through the hollow end of needle tool and from there it says “insert the wire threader into the small hole in the needle of the tool” I am not sure what to do or what it means :(
@@RODesign I think I just need a visual and I can get it but I am just not understanding how to thread it :(
@@sam7161 I'll see if I can get something posted to my Instagram to help! I'm looking at it now, I'll post it shortly and let you know when it's up!

How do we know what size punch needle to use for small patterns??
I just bought the punch needle tool that was on the same display as the kit, here are a few links www.michaels.com/punch-needle-tool-by-loops-and-threads/10626823.html www.amazon.com/dp/B000YZ41EC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_S2BAN3QCGFBNYJG7SDNA
Love the sock cupcakes!
Thank you!
I’m confused on how to even throughout the tool ?
Does this help? instagram.com/tv/Cfu0G2CMnbv/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Ma fille a adoré par contre il faut retirer la feuiller en hauteur et non la faire glisser sinon l’art est moins beau. Faut être rapide et à 4 mains pour soulever la feuille
Sounds like I should have had someone help me to get a better result!
This helped me a lot, I was having trouble just starting it but now I’m enjoying it, it’s my first time doing this type of project. Thank you! 😭✨
I'm glad this helped you! It makes me so happy that I was able to help and that you're enjoying it! Happy crafting!
Your sewing machine is adorable!
Haha thank you!

This is so stinkin cute! I definitely want to make one. Where did you find the tiny faux flower pots?
Thank you!! I definitely bought the pots online Something like these: Craft Flower Pot 2 Inches Tall and 1-3/4 Inch Wide at Opening www.amazon.com/dp/B06X3VJ6ZS/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_KR6NYM3PNKZNM7JBZSDV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hey! Did you ever end up making a cactus of your own?
@@RODesign I'm still working on gathering the materials(I don't have a craft store near me) but it's at the top of my list!
@@thefarmista Ok cool! I'm excited to see how it turns out!
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but everytime I try to use the punch needle tool, it punches a big hole and the threads come right back out with it. 🤷🏼♀️ Any suggestions?
I think I had the same issue when I started I want to say I was pulling the needle out at an angle instead of straight up and possibly not punching the needle all the way through the fabric before pulling it back, it took some practice for sure I hope this helps!
@@greenchilecheesey my kit came with a punch needle, but it looks like the same one she's using...
@@RODesign thank you!
@@thefarmista Nan?
You really do want to complete an entire row across. It’s easy to miss spots when you jump around. These are long term projects
I got the same latchhook I wanted to know what kind of yarn do I supposed to use because the yarn they gave me is too small let me know thank you
I just used what it came with
It is supposed to be small. The short bits are perfect.
