DIY Halloween Prop Madame Leota, How to make a Halloween prop
Просмотров 15 тыс.7 лет назад
Here's my Madame Leota project. It's a good example of how to make a Halloween prop. I scored it with mystical music for a more ghostly dream-state experience. It's fun to watch people react to it. Turns many into curious Zombies. Note: Madame Leota is the property of Disney Studios - Music for this video composed and owned by David H Wurst I encourage anyone who can make it to Disneyland or Di...
Body Drums invention idea by David Wurst
Просмотров 5259 лет назад
This is a must see. This is the first time I have shown this to the world. In 1984 I created a tactile suit of electronic drums. Unfortunately this body suit was lost during my move to California. This movie contains excerpts from the only surviving video of the experiment. I had intended to patent and market it in 84, but the thought of building a new suit was impossible at the time because I ...
Hi. How do I make Madam Leota
Epic
Very nice. All pro right here
👍👍👍
All the best... still throwing
It's five years later as I write this. I cannot help but wonder if Reanna is still throwing. I hope so!

Super heroin Reanna wurst ,you inspire me,ctg,Bangladesh
there was a bunch of snow where I threw and I ended up throwing the discus 80 ft ( I’m in sixth grade ). How long do you think I could throw if there wasn’t any snow

Nice progress! You can really see how the athlete is thinking about throwing technique herself and not just whining if something doesn't work. That's why she is progressing 👍🏻💪🏻
My personal best was 105 back in high school ! In the 80’s !
Beautiful evenings. What place is this?
I went to a throwing camp over this past summer. Up in Rhode Island. I learned more about the discus and Javelin. In my sophomore year my personal record was only 82.5 feet because of the camp and because of me practicing by myself after school with no coaching. My new personal record is 108 feet roughly. I've gained almost 30 feet. I can't wait for this season.
Where did you get the projection of madame leotas face?
How did you get the bust into the globe?
She dumps her left shoulder out of the back....
i noticed that on a few attempts also. which coincided with "stepping in the bucket". that in turn leads to the left leaning delivery.... that needs to be corrected soon.
Thanks for listing our your steps below. One thing you didn't mention was where you got your Liotta recording from? Who is that recording of? Is it online? do you have a link to it? Thanks.
How can we improve our throw ???
I’m in 8th grade and threw 79ft today at a meet
i’m an 8th grade boy who just got done with track. i placed gold at my league championship with a new PR of 126’9”. i hope to have good coaching like this entering my high school years. keep up the good work Reanna!
Make sure to open up the left knee first
I wish I had a one on one trainer... We have 1 coach for guys and girls, all three events and 20+ people in each event
Same here it really sucks sometimes
I like how her left hand looks, its like she's trying to aim where she's gonna throw.
Her last one was the best because she had a better follow through.
You have to pick your feet up, and drive when coming from the back of the ring, the more you wait to settle- the more you’ll slow down, she needs to drop down when in a power position.
I’m in 7th grade and I throw 70 ft and I’m looking for new techniques to use to help me throw further... comment any if there is a way that you can help me. (I do a half spin)
If you still want some tip, I can help ya out!
I'm a head track coach in high school. She's getting good coaching. Keep training she has a good foundation.
Could you post this somewhere?
my name is manjula i have more intrested already thrown discuss but present I have not chance and present my age 20 and I have not completed degree so pls give me one chance i will prove my talent pls
wow
would you recommend a styrofoam head for this project? also what kind of projector did you use?
Hey Vanity, I found that a resin mannequin head looked more realistic so I used that. In case you didn't see this post from earlier, here was my How I did it list (including the projector I used) Peace DW Here are a few tips on how to do this project yourself. Total cost for all parts: around $100 Total time to complete project: 10-20 hours Tip : Use a real mannequin head from a beauty shop. Creates deep natural shadows in face. How I did mine. step 1: I went to a local wig shop and they sold me an old beat up cast resin mannequin head for $10. It had eyelashes and full make up. I found this worked way better than a flat styro head because it had deep contours. Step 2: I sanded off the lashes and sanded the lips flat. I then filled the eye sockets with drywall putty, and when dry, sanded the eye sockets flat. Then I spray painted the entire head using flat white using white spray primer (home depot $5.00) step 3: I bought a used Sony VPL-CX10 LCD Projector on eBay for $25 (worked perfectly) set the perfect focal distance from the head to the projector lens at 79 inches (this takes some messing around to get just right.) a real mannequin head has deep indented cheek bones which you have to line up well, but the effect is much superior to a flat styro head because the cheeks create natural shadows. Step 4: Created my own music and mixed the movie in I-movie step 5: bought a plastic globe online (Around $29) step 6: bought a white wig on amazon (around $9) step 7: created a base using a fondu warmer and a tin pan (found at salvation army for $10) and painted with gold paints. step 8: I concealed the projector under a black plastic sheet and stuck it in the front yard at Halloween. That’s about it. I hope this helps anyone who wants to try this. It looks even more amazing in person. Trick or treaters and their parents would just stand around it and stare. DW
@@davidwurst7500 currently I have a Styrofoam bust that has facial features.
I haven’t thrown since 7th grade which was two years ago, and I’m gonna be a sophomore next year but I don’t think I’ll be able to keep up😦
Hope you continued
David good work with your daughter!!!
All u need to improve now is explosion strength and speed which will come from lifting and age technique is there 👍
Damn she good
Her spin is really slow
Holla Soul it is hot its supposed to be
It’s mostly the power position that matters the spin can be slow
@ak_hailey so utterly incorrect, the spin should only aid in the transfer of power from the legs up thru the chest muscles into the arm. if the spin is not correct or done too fast, the positions will not be attained, and slow down or even eliminate any momentum and force put upon the discus.
5:03 lol I've done that so many times
Seth Barker that's means your off balance
spud man Extremely late reply, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re off balance. You could just be opening up too early.
@@BigMac8008 yes! opening up to soon, or as i call it. not staying back with the discus. she has a penchat for dipping left shoulder into center and yanking the left arm to make the turn. when that left arm goes crazy, the right arm does too. by the time its time to throw, her throwing arc of the discus is down to about 150% and her left foot has no time to get to the front. she ends up trying to arm toss the discus across her body---result is a clanger or sector foul
I'm not much of an expert but I've been doing a lot of research and I recently learned how to throw a discus so you can't take my word for that much. I know that she needs a better blocking foot or strong, but other than that the technique is pretty good but there is always room for improvement on technique but it's good from all the research I've done. Again I'm not much of an expert so don't take my word for it
I’m a freshman in highschool, i’ve only thrown this year and my 8th grade year. i was one spot away from making state last year and am so pumped this year. There is a meet down in New Orleans and only the best of the best get to go, BUT GUESS WHAT?! IM GOING i haven’t learned the full spin yet, which i am sooo eager to learn. But good luck to all of the throwers and athletes out there!
kendall owens good luck tomorrow !
kendall owens I’m a thrower in Louisiana and I’m starting this year with is my 8th grade year the school year just started to I’m training I threw my first discus over the fence and didn’t get it back so I’m waiting for a new one to come in

She's good
Thanks for sharing Reanna's journey. My 9 y.o daughter is throwing and learning - I'm doing coaching courses to learn too. She's gone off the rails a bit, trying to do too much at once, so we spent a morning watching RUclips videos to refocus and your video came up.
Somebody take her to the olympics already 🖇
music is extraordinary, what is the title, please tell..!
Thank you The music was created by my dad for me for "Discus". He's a movie composer that does alot of stuff for Marvel, DC, Lego etc. I don't think he's released it yet beyond my movie. Good luck with your throwing! - Reanna
I am amazed by this fact, such a great music composer he is. I loved this music, feels like Hans Zimmer score. If I want to hear your dad's music scores can you please share them on this channel.
What school is this, I wanna go there now lol
