Someone once predicted that 'Asia is the future,' and it seems like it's starting to come true now!
"I'ts like living in cyberpunk" bro I had that same exact thought walking around Siam only yesterday, it's a mid-blowing megacity
Siam is definitely the best part of Bangkok for that feel! That was where I felt like I was in the simulation with how crazy some of the architecture was. Enjoy it there brother, you going around Thailand next or mainly staying around Bangkok?

Other countries called us 3rd world country. But anyway I still love my country❤🇹🇭!! Welcome to Thailand naka 😊
Thank you, truly love the country, I’m starting to think the west is just the third world as it feels we’re so behind in many ways 😭
The whole west is fucked, brainwashed people and the economy is about to crash
Yea I’m trying to figure where to make the move to. For years I’ve been saying the west is a failing society, now it’s more of a failed society 😭
paperluch is So good😭 if you have a chance try afteryou for dessert
I would love to. How would I spell it? I googled “paperluch” but couldn’t find it
I love Bangkok - But I love NYC too. Not sure if I would tear down historic buildings like the Empire State Building to build Bladerunner buildings. There is room in this world to live both the old and the new!
Yea I’d never say take down the landmark buildings in NY, I grew up loving the Empire State Building and still do. My point is more so that our infrastructure is behind when it comes to newer buildings and development, and even just the infrastructure here. For me high taxes/prices + crime is the biggest issue.
Thailand is the most diversity and freedom in south east Asia and Asia as well with compared to the other countries around Asia.

Honolulu’s expensive, but Hawaii at least feels worth it for the lifestyle. I Got some cool content from Northern Thailand coming soon, so stay tuned 🤞. U ever been to chiang mai or northern Thailand?
I been to bangkook thailand 5 times ithas nothing on china except better nightlife
Damnnnnn fr? You think china is that much better, I’ve never been so curious how?
@AidanLevy-Codex china is living in the future. They are the most modern technologically advanced country on earth. Architectural/engineering marvel. The us govt and media constantly push anti china propaganda and tries to scare us citizens from visiting china by painting as some govt controlled dystopia but they do that bc they dont want americans to see how much more developed china is then usa. America has been stagnant for a while and been on a rapid decline since 2010s. If Us citizens saw what china was really like they would be pissed and jealous. The chinese govt pulled 800 million citizens out of poverty. americans are taxed like crazy with little to show for it bc the govt is too busy warmongering and meddling in others nations affairs. The chinese citizens and foreign expats lead a good quality of life over there.. For a country with high gdp it's very cheap and affordable unlike america. if you get a chance to visit there you will be pleasantly surprised just like you did in thailand.
@@davidpark2509 You make a great point-China really is an architectural and technological marvel, and there’s no denying how far they’ve come. That said, one downside I’ve always heard about is the ‘big brother’ level of surveillance and lack of personal freedom. Freedom and security seem to be two sides of the same coin-more of one often means less of the other-and finding a balance that works feels almost impossible. That said, my perspective on China is really just based on U.S. media and propaganda, which I’m skeptical of. I definitely want to visit for myself and see what it’s actually like. I had a layover in Shanghai, but unfortunately didn’t have time to explore the city. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the food, exploring the cities, and seeing the mountains-there’s so much I feel like I’m missing out on. Singapore gave me a similar impression at first, but when I visited, the balance they achieved really blew me away. It’s so clean, safe, and the architecture is some of my favorite I’ve seen anywhere. Curious-where in China would you recommend visiting first? I’d love to hear your input and maybe use it to plan my next trip.
@AidanLevy-Codex yea its pretty normal to feel apprehensive when coming to china especially when such negative rhetoric about china has been ingrained in us for such a long time. But you will already feel a sense of relief after you arrive/get out from airport and walk outside with other tourists. That was also my initial impression with the whole surveillance camera and "social credit score system" but as long as you arent being a nuisance and doing any illegal acitivites you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I found the mainland locals very kind and adorable. They are very patient to help out tourists. No freedom is exaggerated..you have more freedom in china than you do in the west or america. You don't have to worry about getting stalked shot or mugged walking alone at 2am in the city. Dont have to worry sbout getting your laptop stolen because you left it by accident at a coffeshop for over an hour bc nobody has touched it. The low cost of living for higher quality of life is such a liberating feeling from what one is used to in the west. All in all a very peaceful harmonious society. China is so huge it's nearly impossible to explore the country in a short time span. But I reckon 3 weeks to 1 month is pretty good start to hit up major spots but definitely more than a month if you want a deep dive and immerse in the culture. You will notice each region has it own separate sub culture bc there are many different ethnic groups spread across china. You can start south near hongkong and work your way up north or vice versa. I highly recommend visiting Chongqing Guangzhou Shanghai and Beijing as the main ones. Other cities like Shenzen Chengdu Wuhan Xian if you have some extra time in the itinerary. You will do everything via alipay for convenience and high speed rail is a lifesaver to get around. I look forward to your future travel video exploring china.
@@davidpark2509 Appreciate the detailed breakdown-it’s refreshing to hear a perspective that challenges the common misconceptions about China. It’s good to know that the surveillance and social credit system aren’t as intrusive as they’re often portrayed. I imagine the sense of safety you describe, like not worrying about theft or walking around late at night, must be a big plus. The diversity across regions sounds incredible. Starting in the south near Hong Kong and working up north sounds like a solid plan. Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing are definitely on my radar, and I’d love to explore the subcultures you mentioned. The affordable quality of life combined with the cultural richness really does make it seem like such a unique experience. Thanks for the tip about Alipay and the high-speed rail-that definitely sounds like a game changer for getting around. I’m curious, out of all the cities you mentioned, which one would you say left the biggest impression on you and why? I’m taking notes for when I plan my trip

Appreciate it, and good suggestion. I spent a week in chiang mai trying to live like a local for a few days to really see the difference in quality of life compared to the U.S. i gotta check out PhiPhi islands next time- I did koh Samui and koh Tao which I loved, was some of the best islands I’ve ever been to. How would you compare daily life in Thailand to somewhere like Florida? Curious to hear your thoughts
@@AidanLevy-Codexliving in thailand is a lot of cheaper for sure, many tourists, no doubt about it. the comparison is about living in high humidity area like Florida and southern part of thailand. i think i ask wrong to ask you to compare the island and shore area. it should be Surat Thani or Florida instead. thank you
@@madjo23s Yeah, I see what you mean-comparing southern Thailand to somewhere like Florida makes a lot of sense with the similar humidity and climate. I actually spent a day in Surat Thani, but I didn’t get to explore much since I was just passing through. From what I did see, it seemed pretty relaxed and way less touristy than the islands. Do you think Surat Thani is a better spot for long-term living compared to the islands, or is there another area in southern Thailand you’d recommend?
@@AidanLevy-Codex for long term, i think Phetchaburi Hua Hin is better because it close to bangkok and the weather is not thought like Surat Thani, when rain season arrive, you still get nice view with long beach. hotel, resturants, transports, low traffics, hospital, ... BUT a bit expensives, of cause it is a tourist place. Cha-Am area is nice too, really long nice beach after you waking up. moreover, you can travels to Kanchanaburi to feel the deep forest too. Phetchaburi is not really south, weather is not too thick to breath too you can drive motocycle or car easily.
@@madjo23syea hua hin sounds nice I’ve heard only positive things about it but also that the price is higher bc of tourism, kinda like Phuket. I’d love to get a bike and just go in a loop, kanchanburi also sounds cool to see. I was only in surat Thani for a night and then took ferry to Samui. Do you recommend longer in surat Thani or not really worth it?

Preciate it bro, glad you enjoyed the vid 🤞 Bangkok blew me away too-there’s so much to take in, it’s wild. Got some more content on the way, so stay tuned!
Bangkok has the highest number of flyovers in the whole world at 700+, longest six lane elevated expressway in the world BangNa expressway at 34 miles, it just opened the largest parliament building in the whole world at 432000 m2, Sappaya-Sapasathan to put that in perspective the US capital is 67000 m2, its 6 times bigger than US Capital Building, also highest number of hostels and most affordable five star hotels besides the most visited city in the world. Forget the west, not even Chinese cities come close to Bangkok.
That’s insane, I had no idea Bangkok held so many records on that scale. Also the scale of that parliament building and the BangNa expressway is wild when you compare it to cities in the West. It really does feel like no place even comes close to Bangkok when it comes to modern infrastructure and affordability. @@AidanLevy-Codex Thailand wasn't like this 40 years ago until they open up lady bars, than all the men started rushing in from all over the world.
Hey man, you seem like a really genuine guy, and I’m glad to hear you’ve been enjoying Bangkok so far. As a Thai local who’s lived here for over 20 years, I just wanted to share some perspective. While there’s a lot to love about Bangkok, not everything is perfect. Our sidewalks need serious improvement, the electricity cables should be moved underground, and most locals can’t afford to shop in the high-end malls the city is known for. Thailand has one of the highest inequality gaps in the world-worse than the USA, according to the Gini coefficient. We’re currently under an authoritarian government, and Thai citizens don’t have the right to vote for their leaders (I can talk about this for days). I’m really happy you’re enjoying your time here, but I thought it might be worth sharing the reality many locals face. Every country has its pros and cons, and I hope this gives you a better understanding of life here beyond the surface. By the way, I’d love to collaborate on a RUclips project with you sometime. Keep up the amazing work-I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
Really appreciate it man, and glad you enjoyed. Also ur absolutely right-wealth inequality really stood out to me here in Bangkok and seeing children begging on the street was crazy for me. Seeing the high-end malls next to areas that still need a lot of work was a stark contrast. But like you said, no place is perfect, and everywhere has its own set of pros and cons. I think it’s important to acknowledge both sides, especially as an outsider getting to experience the city. I’d definitely be down to collaborate on a video! Comparing the pros and cons of Bangkok to somewhere like America-or even New York-could be a really interesting discussion. It’d be cool to dive deeper into both perspectives, would love to make it happen. Can I message you on IG or anything? My IG is @aidanlxvy , figured we can discuss further there
FYI according to gini coefficient, Thailand is 0.35 which is medium inequality. The US is 0.41 which is higher.
@@cloudzero1547huh doesn’t even seem that far apart. In Bangkok it was pretty apparent though seeing how a good share of the city lives
Food is excellent over there. Siem Reap and Phnom Phen are great to eat out in too. Not only Asian food, but also Western food too is top notch quality. Good prices, quality, and service. I'd say probably best in the world. In another video, I seen there are so many people in Chaing Mai right now like never before. Have fun! Seoul, South Korea is pretty good too, but better to go up to Japan and Korea in the Spring around March/April when the weather gets nicer and cherry blossom tress are blooming. Yea, they got lots of jewelry, art, clothing, and small business based industries and markets going on. Have a look up in Chaing Ma in the Sunday Market in it's city center walking streets.
I agree with you. America sucks for you don't get much for you money and time with options usually just staying home for there's no vibrance and interesting factor to it. It's been 10 years since I've been over there. They've really developed their cities over there to be truly modern. America is sad and depressing for the work culture is toxic and the overall culture and nightlife to be avoided so we just stay in not burning gas nor eating out much at all. Even if I had lots of money not concerning about the inflationary over priced debt based economy, I'd be outta here sooner to live my life. I'd love to find a new country, but America seems to be the only immigrant country. I imagine many immigrants get depressed and even poorer after arriving here.
You make a lot of good points-America can feel so draining sometimes, between the work culture and how expensive everything is, and the overall mid quality of life. It’s crazy seeing how much more modern and alive cities in other places we call “third-world countries” feel in comparison. I get what you mean about wanting to find somewhere better to live. Are there any countries you’ve thought about moving to? Curious to hear where you’d go
@@AidanLevy-Codex Yes, I used to teach English in South Korea and was US Army some years before that seeing how vibrant walking markets and cities in many other countries are compared to anything we have here in America. I'm thinking the best bet is to get business visa by a year at time in Cambodia. You can rent furnished nice 1 bedroom apartment for $300 to $500 a month there and get maid service too. Cute cafes, bars, markets, and mostly nice people. And the capital city, Phnom Phen, is vibrant and developing mixing in the modern with the colonial, but still very economical. No war risk this era despite it's crazy history in the 1970's. You should go have a look if you're still over there. You can see Angkor Wat too which is really nice in January and February. While I have a small disabled veteran pension, the work abroad is mainly English teaching or freelancing if you do something online like a remote work job or financial investing. I guess one could live over there OK on a minimum of $1000 a month, but 2 or 3 would be the sweet pot.
@@Worldofourown2024 That’s really interesting! I’ve heard Cambodia, especially Phnom Penh, is developing fast and has a great mix of culture and affordability. It’s wild how far $1,000 to $2,000 a month can stretch compared to the U.S. The markets, cafes, and maid service sound like a dream for the price. I might have to check out Angkor Wat if I get the chance-it sounds incredible. Do you think Cambodia is a better long-term option compared to other places like South Korea or Thailand? I’d love to hear more about what makes it stand out for you
@@AidanLevy-Codex Everyone I knew living in South Korea were there to teach English. Most were single, but some were married who live there fulltime on permanent residency. I think Thailand has more to offer than Cambodia and South Korea, but each country is nice in their own unique ways having unique things to offer. Angkor Wat is in Siem Reap which is cheap and easy to reach using Air Asia or a bus service. Bangkok tends to be the most cosmopolitan with the most nightlife and trendy restaurants in SE Asia other than Singapore. Thailand tends to be the tourist center, particularly Bangkok, but Seoul and Tokyo are also hubs too. Cambodia attracks to me most because of the visas look to be far easier than Thailand which is a bit stricter than other countries with visas. It's similar to Thailand in some regards, but more rustic and smaller town vibe not being as developed and big as Thailand. One wants to make s sure to never overstay as to not get a black market or ban.
@@Worldofourown2024 That’s really interesting insight-I didn’t realize Cambodia’s visa process was so much easier than Thailand’s. I can see why it would attract people looking for a more laid-back and affordable lifestyle, especially with the rustic vibe you mentioned. It’s wild how Bangkok feels like this cosmopolitan hub with so much energy, but I get how Cambodia offers something simpler and unique in its own way. Sounds like Southeast Asia really has a place for everyone depending on what you’re looking for. If you had to pick one long-term, would you go for the city life in Bangkok or the quieter vibe in Cambodia

See you bro, good luck. Your recent video really hit a spot for me.
Appreciate it fam, hopefully see you in Asia. You a New Yorker?
@ in New York but feeling drained lately
@ but yeah goal is to obv start my own thing like everyone should!
@@wonjaehwang7670yea I feel that the city fr drains you. Fs just start and experiment around. Hardest part is taking that first step. Best time to start was yesterday, but the second best time is today. You got this fam, rooting for you and can’t wait to see how it takes off & where it takes you. J gotta have faith and know it’s possible.
I grew up in New York and now I am in Bangkok.
@@MegaShredder101 dope asf, I just left Bangkok to chiang mai 😭, would’ve loved to link up. Bangkok fr an awesome city, you moved there or just traveling?
No disrespect, but you’re in the most competitive city on earth. Can’t be waking up at 8am bro.
@@brandonderrick006 people act like waking up early is the secret to success. I run my own business, set my own hours, and often work late into the night. Waking up early makes zero difference - unless it’s for the gym. Surprised if that’s all you took away from this video, though. What do you think about the bigger issues I mentioned?
@ waking up early makes a difference but I agree that’s besides the point. You have great work ethic but that’s the standard in NY. Move your business elsewhere. Yes everything is costly but that also means assets will increase so buy those. Specifically Bitcoin. As far as the NY, move upstate or do what you want. You have to quit the dinners and anything else until you’re financially free. Or leave the country. There’s a lot of rich and ambitious ppl here, conditions will stay tough. GL
@@brandonderrick006 Waking up early doesn’t equal work ethic-I work 14-hour days, so it’s more about putting in the time and right work rather than what time I start. As for costs, that’s one of the smaller issues. If you watched the video fully, you’d see why I don’t think NYC’s high costs are worth it anymore as the city is becoming a sh1tter. I moved to Asia, as mentioned, because while NYC offers networking with ‘big players,’ that alone doesn’t justify staying. I focus on energy investments due to AI’s impact on utility demand. I’ve made money with Bitcoin and Ether, but I’d rather enjoy my money now than risk it or wait years for growth-that’s not really living to me. Appreciate the advice!
@@AidanLevy-Codex I think I watched it all or my bad. But the real answer is : it’s the money. Our costs went up probably 25-50% since Covid. But our salaries didn’t. I just went all in on stocks at the right time. Bitcoin , work harder but meet cool NY girls, or leave the country. That’s your options. GL
@@brandonderrick006 yea well put costs skyrocketed since Covid but my point t is that we’re getting way less now with all the crime in filth in the city and i guess lifestyle, but yea I wish I got in on bitcoin earlier, could’ve ran up a quick 5 figures. I do wanna start waking up earlier though just for discipline & morning gym but my best work is late at night 😔. Will fs have to come back for my NY girls, they truly one of a kind. Preciate the input tho fam, how long you been in NYC?
They’re crashing the inner cities so they can buy up all the real estate cheap. Something about owning nothing and we’ll all be happy. 😊
Yup, and it’s all happening in plane sight. You a New Yorker? “You’ll own nothing and be happy” -The World Economic forum
Good camera angle. Good video. I watched it. Whoever dislike go make better one.
Really appreciate it fam, glad you enjoyed. And fr haters will always be chatting on the sidelines
