Direct current signifie "courant continu".
Merci!
Such a fascinating mechanism. And how far technology has come, look at a modern detachable, going twice the speed (with twice or more the passengers) and the whole trips is silent, smooth, no jerks, no noise. This thing, you KNOW you're in motion, doing things.
Fuck modern corporate monopolistic 10-seater piece-of-plastic-city-scrap gondola lifts.
Bien 👍🏻
Merci l'ami!
👍👍👍
Oh mon ami ! 😊
Most days this floriade (realization approx. 160/200 million EURO) wasn't even visited with 2250 persons a day. During 4 months a trip with the cable car was a 'one way ticket' used as alternative entrance for the exhibition. Back to the parkingplace it was a choise, a very long walk to the busstation who brought you to your car, or pay extra for your returntrip by gondola. The last two months they stopped this idiocy and visiters could make a (free) roundtrip with the gondola. Ticket prices were soon dropped from EUR 35 pp. to EUR 14,50 buyable at the Dutch major grocershop. Expected visitors...between 2.2 and 3 million, actual visitors ion six months ...between 500000 ad 600000 (a lot of them with cheap season tickets. Conclusion: a completely failed project for wich lots of critics warned beforehand.
I’m glad this gondola will have a home at a ski resort after the dismantling.
The ski resort of Silvretta Montafon already did a similar thing at the previous Floriade in 2012. The gondola was dismantled and rebuilt, it's now called the "Panoramabahn". This gondola will probably replace the "Versetlabahn" at the same ski resort.
@@RopewayReport Silvretta Montafon Bergbahnen have absolutely lost their minds or have otherwise been consumed by governmental and corporate authorities. Before 2016 they had nearly EVERY generation of old Doppelmayr ropeway. Garfrescha 2, Valisera, etc. Thankfully it still has old Doppelmayr lifts but not as much as it used to and the remaining of rarest lifts they have there will probably be murdered as the governmental and corporate ropeway authorities are nothing more than thick little greedy bastards who want power and control over the mountains and the ropeways just to delibaretely make enthusiasts suffer for their own amusement, AND to force the world to be reduced to a boring essential-only world where interesting things are unreasonably expensive and are becoming illegal to even have exist in the world, that's how power-hungry authorities are. Said enthusiasts the authorities target and want to make suffer just for their own amusement are both ropeway enthusiasts, and mountain enthusiasts, as they want OLD FASHIONED THINGS. Demon-Lines are not old fashioned in the slightest, they are mainstream modern glassy digitalized city crap that should be bombed. They ridicule the old ropeways which are already reliable, they have no mechanical difference, they are cramped with digital shit, and they have no alpinity to them. Authorities only seek benefit for themselves and corporate companies like Doppelmayr. They do not, in any way, shape or form, seek the benefit of the general public, said benefit for us we see in old, alpine lifts. Not shitty, un-alpine digitalized glassy pieces of scrap such as D-Lines.
That Is a very technical stuff!! Great Job. Many thanks by an italiano fan of gondola and Mountain stuff
Thanks a lot for the kind words, you're welcome! Expect more videos like this in the future!
Awesome video just came back from a week of race training in tux yesterday rly cool to see behind the scenes of the gondola I have been on every day
Thanks mate! Hope you enjoyed your time there!
@@RopewayReport Cheers bro, was pretty good few shit weather days that forced us off, btw will you be doing any videos on Gletscher 1 or 2
@@rab7287 Not anytime soon, but GB2 is definitely on my list!
Since they got new cabins, Gletscherbus II&III don't feel the same anymore. Thanks for the video, you have a great understanding of what cable car fans want to see.
Thanks, that means a lot! I agree! At the same time, the old Köberl cabins didn't age well, compared to the rest of the ropeway. The stations and towers were quite ahead of their time, but not the cabins. With the new cabins, it feels like the GB2 could have been built yesterday, and not 25 years ago.
Nice !
Merci Antoine!
Thanks for letting the original sound and not overly any music!
Thanks for the feedback! You're welcome!
There was too much time wasted on seeing just the cable cars, over 6 minutes at beginning, before the photographer got on one and we see the view below. As it is all just a construction site now, rather boring.
Thanks for your feedback. This channel focuses on the cable cars themselves, the views you might get while riding have less importance. My videos have timestamps to help you skip parts you don't want to see. Also, there are plenty of videos showing just the ride on this cable car and they are even more popular. Sorry that you stumbled upon this video first.
Super👍
Danke dir!

Oh nice! Thanks a lot dude, glad you enjoyed it :)
Has the broken direct drive already been repaired? Why is the direct drive coverd?
The broken Direct Drive was actually swapped out for brand new one in a matter of days. These Direct Drives are hermetically sealed and there is practically no repair that can be done on-site. The replacement was actually pretty costly, as they had to cut a giant hole in the concrete roof to lift the drive out of the building. As far as I know Doppelmayr paid for the replacement as it was a manufacturing error. No idea why the drive is covered :D
@@RopewayReport Thank you for your quick answer and the infos! I found out, that leitner is able to repair it on site without replacement. see here ruclips.net/video/-y0CoDuIqhc/видео.html (starting at 1:28) looks very efficient?!
Thanks for the link, looks way more efficient than cutting a hole in the roof..
What happened with direct drive?
@@winteronly9371 The drive broke down a few days after the gondolas opening back in 2017. It was a manufacturing error, but I'm not sure about the specific cause.
Your Videos are awesome! Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot man!
You should rename it "documentary on the functionning of a Mountain lift" or something! Really interesting. You must know the guy who runs it, for taking such clips haha!
Cool!
