Good luck getting the EGR bolts off
Always use a stethoscope
watch out the "fan" part on the driver side always hangs up so watch for that, and to get the duct back you have to use your fingers to "flip" the lip under that foam bit that was ripped in the video.
Got Van back from shop for belts and Power Steering Pump . Then noticed this same issue Shop office girl quoted 2100.00 for blower and Resistor your video gives me hope. I replaced my backup sensor few years ago. I’ll start with the resistor also.
I been using that oil for years it can run with the best of me for a cheaper price can’t go wrong with super tech
glad to hear it's been working out
If you have the model with a screen for gps, the plastic dash cover comes off same way from behind the screen. Then there’s two bolts holding the screen frame. Once the bolts are out the same clips as shown in the video hold it in place. Just yank up. The defroster duct is nearly impossible to get back in place.
good to know thanks, yes that duct is a true headache to deal with
Thank you!!!
Welcome! Glad you liked it.
Hi can you by any chance knows how to take the auto theft or security locked I mean cranks but it doesn't start Nissan Quest 2007
Hello -- sorry, I am not familiar with this. But I'll see if I can find something written about this in available literature. Likewise, if you figure it out would you post what you find? Thanks!
Good job!
Thank you! appreciate the kind words
great video am just getting serious into car maintenance and have never changed my oil filter although I always change oil on time or early. Going to definitely change it. I think a ton of people don't change their oil filter I know I didn't until I got into car repair
Never really thought about just changing oil and not filter but guess it makes sense that if you had to pick just 1 to change then go with the oil -- but with the low cost and ease of filter change, might as well change it while under the vehicle for added insurance
My father in law started running supertech when his truck was brand new in 2006. First oil change using supertech and fram filter. Silverado still running with about 315k miles and still using supertech oil and fram filter. If something works for you, just stick with it.
Great testimony - nothing fancy, but obviously highly effective
I don’t own one, but somehow this video got recommended to me by RUclips’s algorithm. Very clear and thorough video!
Yeah that is strange indeed. Appreciate your kind words!
thanks man - got the code - also need to do spark plugs - not simple/quick - but certainly doable following another vid on here.
Glad you got something out of that really short video. When doing the back plugs, consider the back coil packs too if you have some high mileage (and check to see if back valve cover is leaking at all).
I have saved this video to my Watch Later list. My T&C is a 2007, and the parts look exactly like yours. Seeing what has to be done, your tutorial is to the point, and easy to follow. I think what made the bearing go bad in my water pump is the fact that one of the pulley bolts was missing. The threads in the pulley look good, but to be sure I will test the tightness with new bolts. I will replace all of the 3 Pulley Bolts to stay on the safe side. I know my engine has not overheated and there are no leaks in my system. So that part is not going to be a problem. Yours had obviously sprayed coolant all over the metal pipes. Mine has not done so. So just replacing the water pump and the pulley bolts should be enough to get my T&C back on the road. I have a new serpentine belt I will be installing as well, but my old one does not look bad; so I will be keeping it in case I need one in an emergency. I will be able to use it to get me to where I can buy another new one. Thank you for making this video.
Yeah that's a bonus no major coolant leak for you. Glad you found the video somewhat helpful.
Great step by step video. I am replacing the water pump on my van on Thursday
Thanks for the positive response. Hope it goes well and this video helps out.
@@diytry4580 I did replace the water pump yesterday. That bolt to the top was very difficult to put on and take off. I did have to drop the motor mount to let the engine drop to put the new water pump in. I did get the metal fins when I pulled off the old one the plastic fins was broken inside the housing
@@jimrodmrt1 Yes I rem thinking that bolt might snap... but thankfully didn't. I haven't had to mess with motor mounts yet to get clearance but it looks straightforward. Hopefully you won't be visiting this particular part again on this van (or at least not for a long time)
Thank you!
Glad you found this helpful
Thanks! You skipped the most I was having trouble with.... By taking the stubborn pulley wheel off the water pump.
Yw, glad it worked for you
@@diytry4580 he wasn't actually thanking you for helping. He was thanking you for skipping HOW you got the f'n bolts loose on the wp pulley! Your video is as USELESS as the rest
Bra my shit just don’t slide in I had to break the old one to take it out
Yeah I can see that happening cause it seemed almost impossible to get out. Some others I watched loosened the motor mount to get the old one out. I didn't have to...maybe I was just lucky. Glad you were able to get it out though.
Same issue, have the 2007, trying to keep until it hits 200k, at 167, just changed module and working, I will see for how long, blower will most like go out soon, usually thats the case.
Yes if your module/resistor goes out again soon after replacing, then replacing the blower motor should at least rule out that part of the system as the cause. (Though certainly possible to get a bad, new part). Hope it fixes the issue, riding around with the fan on high all the time made for a noisey drive.
POG CHAMP
I got the same problem with the same car! So you think that the fix was to change the resistor or the blower fan?? By the way, thanks for up loading this video, it does help me a lot on what I'm going to go through!!
Glad the video/information helped. For me, I had replaced the resistor, and the blower operation failed the next day. Since replacing the blower (and again another resistor) it has worked normally. I ended up just buying the cheapest resistor on Amazon....believe it was like $25.
Okay thanks, I'm going to start with the replacement of the resistor, and go from there! Thank you so much for replying! God bless!!
@@elgarfio4186Did it work? I'm having this same issue
Just to update -- blower replacement DID fix issue
I can’t get the shroud in🤦🏾♂️
The shroud was a pain getting back in, but since it's thinner plastic it can flex/bend a lot. I found putting back in at an angle then bending the front-facing edge past the upper foam seal worked best for me. I did end up tearing the foam a bit, but it's fragile due to age.
@@diytry4580 I almost got it
