You'll get a better rise by mixing the yeast, a little flour, sugar, butter/oil (optional), and warm water together first. The yeast feeds off of the sugar and a little flour and water, allowing it to bloom. It should be the texture of a slightly doughy paste. Then add the rest of your flour, turn on a lightly floured board, knead until supple, then add in your textured ingredients. You should never toss the yeast in with all the hard ingredients, those come last once you have battered up your dough, then add your raisins, cranberries, and cashews. Pistachios would probably be better with that fruit combo. Don't overwork your dough, it will make it tough and dry.🎉

I love the feel of real paper, stickers, pens and markers…but I tend to fall out of journaling more than I’d care to admit. Doing my journaling digitally, I tend to not carry as much guilt when I fall out of it. 1. No money wasted. 2. No unnecessary clutter in my home that’s not being used.

prom is only once a year, there's usually one for juniors/11th grade and one for seniors/12th grade. so someone could attend both proms if say a senior took a junior to prom as their date and vice versa. then there are other smaller school dances throughout the year. homecoming is the one where there's a big football game and then a dance after. in my school, everything besides prom was held in the school gym or cafeteria. prom you actually had to pay money for, it was at some fancy venue and people get limos and all that. everything else you said is accurate. i think every school has a football and cheerleading team.

Chappell is a rare case where I became a fan well before she really blew up in the last few months. It's been amazing to be able to watch so many people discover and fall in love with her and her music.

Dont forget her story. She got dumped by her label after Pink Pony Club. There's definitely a period after that where anything you see from her is actually homemade by her, using her own savings, and maybe some of Dan Nigro's. ALL of these videos were before her biggest fame. Most of these reflect a time last yesr when she was an up and coming independant who'd do shows at 2000 seat venues. Now she can sell out stadiums. It will be intersting to see where her future videos go now that she's become a Superstar. The only video she's released since that happened was a lyric video and it was deliberately retro. The main difference in her content now (especially live, but Im sure its going to affecting her videos more and more going forward) isnt so much budget, but approach. She started wearing costumes at all of her live shows and supporting LGBTQIA+ by having Drag acts open for her. One of the Drag performers apparently told her that SHE, Chappell, was a drag act. She's said this was a revelation to her and thereafter (although it was already her stage name) started considering Chappell as the drag version of Kayliegh Rose (her real name). I think thats why the makeup and costumes are essential now.

The SGUMG music video was actually put out after Chappell got dropped by her label; she had to self fund it & did the whole thing with her friends! PPC was put out when she was still with her old label and HOTTOGO was put out after she signed to her new label recently! Would love to see your reactions to the rest of her music videos too :)

Someone already mentioned Pink Pony Club is about a gaybar, which is true, but I thought I'd elaborate further: She wrote the song about the first time she visited a famous gaybar in Los Angeles and that she was struck by the whole experience, she described it as almost "spiritual", a truly emotional experience of finally feeling like she is where she belongs. Having grown up in the midwest in a very conservative environment and being able to get away from all of that and feel safe to unabashedly be oneself can truly be something special for a queer person, so that's basically what the song is about. <3

Yeah, you're right she wrote California after she got dropped from her label for not being profitable enough (she was dropped the same year "Pink Pony Club" was released) and thought her dream was over. She was so broke that she had to move back with her parents and work in various jobs, she worked on a drive thru, as a nanny etc. for 2 years, saved enough money and decided to give one last try to her music career. Her story is awesome. :')

During live performances of "Picture You", she usually puts a wig onto a mike stand and sings to it. Kaleidoscope was written right before telling a friend that she was interested in her. she apparently got a "I need to think about it". Pink Pony Club is my entire personality, and... I think I've watched way too much about Chappell and need to stop with the random trivia, and I apologize profusely. lol
