William’s CAR T-cell Therapy Experience

Following his large B-cell lymphoma diagnosis, William underwent chemotherapy. After one month, his cancer returned. When a community oncologist in Tennessee learned William was a military veteran, he connected William with the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network and the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. In March 2022, after five rounds of treatment, William received CAR T-cell therapy at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Medical Center in Nashville. He has not required any additional cancer treatment since.
“I expected the best because I knew they were good doctors, and I had a pretty healthy outlook.”
William lives in Brookhaven, Mississippi.
