How did the Irish People Live in 1955?
You're wrong in just about EVERYTHING you say. Molly Maguires was about Eckleys Mine not JT. Millionaire row was on race street not Broadway. The jail closed in 95, not the mid 70's like you claim. Hill rd takes you to an entirely different part of Jim Thorpe that is residential. It also has part of the switchback. You know JACK SHIT about JT. Please, stay in New York. We really don't want or needs ya. Also, people who LIVE in Jim Thorpe actually hate all you tourists.
Great video! I visited New York twice so far, and embarrassingly never went inside the empire state building. This was close enough. Hope to see you back in Killarney next year Gary! - Mim
Min, Thank you for viewing and subscribing and the comment. I will be returning next March April and May. I got a great deal for one half of a Castle Ross Cottage off of New Street. About a ten minute walk to Foley’s. I may delay coming to Killarney and spend the first month in Dublin. I want to see trials in the High Court as that is what I used to do for a living. Again, thank you for viewing. Gary
Thanks. Good commentary.
Thank you for the comment.
Imagine to pay so much money on your beach house just to find out that the water looks like Galveston Texas. Tampa Bay, Sarasota, Florida's Emeral Coast have far better beaches . When I was in Naples walking on the beach I literally walked on sharp sea shells . I'll pass .

I was born and raised in J.T. I moved away in 2015 and have only been back once in 2017. My dad still lives there. From what he tells me, there's been a massive influx of people moving there and in the surrounding areas up the mountain, and the tourists make it unbearable in the Fall. There always were tourists as far as I can recall; but evidently it's gotten nearly out of hand. Anyway, thank you for this trip down memory lane. Looks like not a whole lot has changed as far as the buildings, but that big bridge over the river is new! There was never anything there but a cliff. If you made a Left where the new bridge begins, the old bridge used to be down that way about 500 or so feet. It was small and rickety. Miracle it never collalsed. 😅
Thank you for your informative comment.
Lived on W 9th st and the tourists and people like this guy are what killed the town. Where'd you live @ joe ???
Hello sir; Do you want your video reach to the right person...? and video view and subscribe increase.....
In houses.
Thank you for the comment.
This is a "museum" for tourists. It does not lie, though neither does it tell the truth.... No doubt some people in the 50's still lived in the conditions shown..... and certainly there was less emphasis on material goods, but it was a diminishing minority and largely in rural areas. We in urban areas (like Limerick) had their own issues - and Ireland in the 50s was still poor, but nothing like that shown - I lived in a terraced house with plumbing and a range and "normal" furniture..... probably little different than the majority of British working-class families at the time. When I returned to rural Tipperary in the later 70s, again things were "poor", but improving. People were moving out of their old ("picturesque") whitewashed cottages and building new "system" houses (prefabricated houses designed to be erected on family-owned land). The biggest problem, as ever, was a lack of work, or the lack of well-paying work, at the time - so that many still emigrated to better their lot. Over the next few decades, Ireland changed a lot - and now it is like a different country, in some ways. But that's why the tourist has to be shown how things were "back in the day"...... Nothing stands still.
Thank you for your informative comment.

Thanks for the compliment
your video very good but tag problems your videos need SEO

I will check out your analysis. I hope you are correct.
Enjoy the Jameson tour in Midleton and your stay in Ireland. Coincidentally i'm from Midleton.
Looking forward to it. I will Uber to and from.
I visited your RUclips channel and found it needs a lot of updates. First of all your channel video SEO is very weak due to which your channel video views are not increasing. If you do SEO then your video will come first in the search list and your video views and subscribers will increase. I am waiting for your reply. Please let me know if you need my service
Thanks for the tips!
@@garys_tours Do you want my help in this regard?
The West is scenic alright. I'm in Ulster, but I love driving over there in the summer time, especially around Sligo.
Love the drive around the cliffs. I call it the ring of Dingle. I also recommend going counter clockwise so you are against the side of the mountain rather than hanging over the cliffs.

Greetings from Dublin i hope you enjoyed your trip !
Coming back in 51 days for five weeks. Loved it.
I'll second your friend's comments about snakes and gators, if you want o see them you'll have to go searching to find them I'll only add that pretty much anywhere there's fresh water in Florida you'll find gators in it. Like she said, it's the negative is the bugs, especially every kind of ant you can imagine and they'll all try to get in your house.
You absolutely correct. I lined in Naples for ten years. My building was roach infested.
I see your video regularly & your video is really good. But you don't get enough viewers in your videos.

Ireland is particularly peaceful and beautiful, but why does it support the religion of peace that destroys the beauty of Europe but opposes Israel, which defends Christian holy places?
To do with history and identify with Palestine and associating Israel with uk. I don't think Irish are anti Israel just anti the politicians doing the genocide
@@anthonym3351 The Irish have gained far more from the English than you have lost from the English. 16 million people of Irish descent live happily in England. You resent Britain just because you have a narrow vision. The situation in Gaza is caused by Hamas, the Middle East would be peaceful if the Arabs did not launch terrorist attacks.
@@user-uv9tl4jt8w nobody in Ireland resents Britain. There are more British people in Ireland today than Irish in Britain and they love happily. Britain killed at least 4 million people in Ireland. In Ireland life is considered more sacred than other countries. Be it Israel or Palestinians being killed it is tragedy. I guess in Ireland we are aware of how the propoganda is written. It's always one sides fault. The truth is it's just a few leaders causing all the division
@@user-uv9tl4jt8w The modern situation in Gaza dates back to Britain giving Israel to the Jews
