    Finally catching up with your videos! I can feel your pain with that parking situation! I remember the same thing happening to us at Tropic Winds in Texas. After 4 tries, much frustration and embarrassment our next door neighbor came over and said he drove a big rig for 30 years and he helped get us in with ease. Ugh! We were happy but it still stung! Nice cargo situation! We also found out that we had no anode rod! ha! We are excited because we are looking at campers again! This time, very small. No full timing, but weekend and other small trips. Hope you are enjoying your new baby😊

      Great to hear from you! How exciting that you are looking at campers 😊 We have been toying with the idea of getting an additional small travel trailer to use for guests on our Maine land and also to take on smaller trips to more rugged places. Probably won’t happen right away but maybe in future! Also, I haven’t announced it on the channel yet but we purchased an RV lot in Titusville, Florida this year! This winter is the first time we will use it. I was tired of the Thousand Trails shuffle every winter in Florida, this will make it so much easier. It’s a beautiful gated community with lots of great amenities. We will winter there, summer in New England, and travel in spring and fall. The baby is three weeks old, I am so grateful I can stay with them and help for such a long time! She’s absolutely beautiful, we are having a great time (there are a few pics on my personal Facebook page). We will travel up to our Maine land for August and September, then back with the kids until Thanksgiving. Hope you and Ryan are doing great, and hope to see you again soon! ❤

      @@CircuitRidinRV Oh that sounds perfect! Yes, The TT shuffle gets old! I will be (and Ryan back and forth) will be spending 3 weeks in Florida (Fort Myers) in January and a month in NC for Feb. Have to get out of MI for winter. Will you be going to the Tampa Rv show in '25? I am going to try to get there! Maybe we can meet up halfway if you are in FL in January! We are looking at a Winnebago Micro Minnie travel trailer. Only problem is we don't have a tow vehicle! My dream vehicle is a Leisure Wonder, but that will be closer to retirement! Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Let’s connect in January. BTW, we have tentative plans to be back in Grand Haven next May (around May 7-10). We are finally doing our Dakotas trip so we can go to South Dakota to renew our drivers licenses, and we will stop to see Jason‘s dad on our way back east. Hope to see you then as well!

    I know its been a minute or two since you did this project but do you remember the size (width / height) of the Strut Channel? I know they're 10 ft. long but I didn't realize there is quite a bit of variability on height, width, gauge etc. I'm on Zoro's website trying to match their selection from what I can see in the video, I think you have the aluminum, 12 gauge, 1 5/8 by 1 5/8 strut channel. Can you confirm? Thanks.

    You mentioned that the ferry tickets were $30.00 per-person, is that one way, or round trip? Also, if the tickets happen to be $30.00 round trip, does that round trip ferry ticket apply to people that choose to staying overnight on the island as well; for example, if I paid the ferry fee onto the island and stayed a couple days there, then when its time to leave the island via the ferry will I have to pay an additional $30 bucks, or does the same ticket apply if when leaving a couple of days later? I did enjoy your content of information!

    • @CircuitRidinRV
      @CircuitRidinRV Месяц назад

      That was the round trip price. I believe you would be able to use your return ticket on a different day if you choose to stay overnight, but you'd want to confirm that with the ferry line. I don't know how many days the tickets are good for. We only paid $30 for each round trip. Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful for you!

    so I'm in the process of transitioning to trying to get into an RV. Still some research to go but definitely thinking of summer and winter seasonal lots like you guys do now. But it's just me. And it scares me to death to get something that big! How did you decide what pickup truck to get?! I mean obviously you needed something big enough that would haul a fifth wheel trailer. Were you guys experienced with campers already? I like the size of the motorhomes because then you don't have the additional large pick up truck but they're so stinking expensive! And I'm paranoid of them breaking down because I can't afford brand new! i'm looking forward to seeing your other videos I stumbled upon yours today while googling things!

    • @CircuitRidinRV
      @CircuitRidinRV Месяц назад

      Welcome and thanks for watching! We did about 18 months of research before settling on our Ford F350 dually and Vanleigh Villano fifth wheel. We were not experienced campers, and we had never been in an RV before. We did occasional tent camping sometimes. For us, we went with the pick up truck/5th wheel combo because it was preferable to us to only have one engine to maintain. Most people who have a motorhome also tow a small car behind it, which means you have two engines to maintain. Plus in a motorhome, if either your “house“ or your engine breaks down, then both are out of commission. With our set up, if the truck breaks down, we still have our house, and vice versa. However, if you are a solo traveler, a small motorhome might be a better choice for you because it is more manageable for set up and tear down. I have seen a lot of solo female travelers on the road in class B vans, class C’s, or small class A’s. The “Creativity RV” RUclips channel is a great resource for solo female travelers! Best of luck to you and keep asking lots of questions!

    What a great video! How beautiful are the little towns of Newfoundland and Labrador! I'm from St. John's and, even being a local, I am delighted every time I see the cutest little puffins, and I'm absolutely THRILLED, every single time, when I find an iceberg! You were most fortunate, indeed, to have experienced both puffins and numerous icebergs in one trip! By the way, since you didn't specifically say so in your vlog, I thought I'd bring to your attention that the town of Bonavista is believed to be the landing place of explorer Giovanni Caboto (a.k.a. John Cabot) in 1497! That's just five years after Christopher Columbus set foot in the Americas in 1492. Of course, that was almost 500 years after the arrival/temporary settlement of the first Europeans in North America when the Vikings arrived at our L'Anse Aux Meadows, which I understand you cover in your next video. Obviously, in addition to our natural beauty, the province of Newfoundland and Labrador has a lot to offer those interested in history! Glad you've enjoyed your visit to the island portion of our province!

      Thanks for that info about John Cabot! We are looking forward to a future trip of driving the Trans Labrador Highway with our RV and coming back to Newfoundland. Everything about that trip seemed magical. Thanks for watching 😊
