With its Long range Automated locking systems that are similar you find at the things that uses Radar, like the AAs, It could potentially down a Jet. Just potentially since we skipped far way ahead and saw the last episode where Anime highschool cosmic mech pilot girls surpasses every technological advancements of the military and even fly far reach to the space faster than a jet could push itself like a space launcher.

@@assaulthetz considering they employed a laser C-RAM with seperate radar, it is possible. May need seperate targeting radar though. But if it can employ image recognition to detect aircraft,well, maybe an APU and gas turboelectric power to generate the MW necessary to fire a laser dangerous enough to zap aircraft. Alternatively, its packing several AA missile pods as simple means to pack AA. Maybe like the Avenger kitbashed to the Exoframe too.

that last episode is a joke episode, the cosmic girl stuff is basically a japanese drama made in universe (the very end of that episode confirms it). it shows a socioetal disconnect, while everyone in the world is weaponizing the e-frames, the Japanese are making weeb bait with it. i find it hilarious

Unfortunately the anime in question "Obsolete" was an original product of youtube original and after most of the sub service was consider.....well almost ironically that I think about, obsolete since it never manage to rival Netflix, several of its project was shot down, which it is truly a pity for this one, the creators in less of 12 minutes for episode where able to create an entire universe, with intelligent elements and realistic character and an interesting story behind, i would have loved to see how the world of "Obsolete" would have turned out to be, ehk considering the current world scenario, we could have seen Ukrainian exoframes destroying Russian tanks and perhaps exoframes used before in Syria for fighting in the Syrian civil war, reused for the recostruction of the country after the 2023 earthquake

@@raghardeishi972 I don't think that the anime is "anti-war" perse, it is more a "what if" kind of thing, what if some day a mysterious force (aliens in this case) start to give powerful tech to everyone. Suddenly the system starts to drastically change, In the serie-anime the appearance of the biomechs cause big changes in geopolitics and the global economy even when the only utility that these things have is to be a kind of force multiplier (something that can lift weigh, transport it in a practical and fast way or a weapon). Poor countries which can't afford expensive militar gear, strap some armor to the thing and suddenly they have something that can match or even surpass an armored vehicule, while it has not great armor, it can move around in a very organic, fast and responsive way, it is as agile and fast as an helicopter if not more, it has a low profile because It's smaller and thinner than a tank or any armored vehicule, it can traverse by ground, it doesn't need fuel or repairs and if you broke one, you can give some rocks to the aliens and they will give you more, the damn thing is even biodegradable, it is insane how handy these mechs are. And not only as weapons, but also people can use these biomechs instead of a great variety of civil vehicules and even construction machines, so now many things are cheaper, specially the construction of infraestructure and the transport of certain goods, so many militar and civil companies dedicated to produce vehicles and construction machines are going bankrupt in this world, and let me remind you that many of these companies are located in first world countries, so first world nations aren't liking this biomech boom too much, because it is making them lose money and influence exponentially. To the point that USA tries to ban or at least disencourage its use (despite that USA itself is not only using them but trying desperately to reverse engineer them), with the excuse that these biomechs are dangerous and we don't know why aliens are giving them practically for free (which is a more than valid and logical concern if you ask me). And all this context is given to you by the anime just in background noise. For example, reporters talking on a news channel, while characters are doing or talking about other things, in the episode where some mercenaries are protecting a port, many of the machines that you will see in a port employed to carry things around are replaced by these mysterious biomechs and don't make me start by the insurgent and terrorist groups who basically replaced their toyotas and suicide motorcycles with biomechs XD. I mean if all of this context that the anime gives, not by telling but by showing, which is a golden rule of visual media (show don't tell), it is not at least a sign of decent writing, to be honest, I don't know what is good writing. We are humans and no one can do something perfect, but come on, the anime is genuinely interesting and had a lot of potential. You can't say is garbage.
