Graphene is another form of the element carbon. Its structure resembles a single layer of graphite. Graphene has a very high melting point and is very strong because of its large regular arrangement of carbon atoms joined by covalent bonds. Like graphite, graphene conducts electricity well because it has delocalised electrons that are free to move through its structure

Hi, nice content. The idea is very interesting but the question is "why does it need a blockchain"? As Miss MacDonald explained, Bitcoin is the only network which has been fully tested, and it is the only one that really exploits all the advantages of a DECENTRALIZED distributed ledger. The moment a blockchain is not open (everyone can join as validating nodes), all the terms like "data immutability", "finality", "censorship resistance", "decentralization" just become buzzwords. Therefore, the follow up question is: "aren't there easier alternatives than blockchain to enable global digital control on shipping operations and tracking?" Thank you

Exactly the question BLOC asks before we consider building. In this case because in the maritime shipping industry there is no traceability in place, little infrastructure and no interlinkage between different systems in the industry. It is the industry partners who identified the actual need. That is our first rule we do not build technology for tech's sake but for real identified needs with the stakeholders.

Truly disappointing, low grade piffle. For a speech based around 'insights' there's not a lot of insight on view. Data is not valuable if you don't have the numbers on the ground to generate a meaningful volume of intelligence - most workplace are effectively exempt from preventive inspections and the rest might see an inspector once in a working lifetime. Behavioural nudges on healht and safety don't compensate from the mighty shove in the opposite direction provided by performance management, job insecurity, the gig economy, outsourcing, low pay, and pressures borne of too much and too little work without adequate support and employment rights. And a enforcement and regulatory policy responding to 'accidents' ignores the body and soul killing strains of work that at heart disease, suicide, stroke and a plethora of unrecognised, uncompensated and unaddressed occupational diseases the really deadly threat. www.hazards.org/insecure www.hazards.org/lowpay www.hazards.org/workandhealth www.hazards.org/cancer
