Andre Agassi is one of the best serve returners of all time, and here are some of his best returns

Rafael nadal is the king of clay, and here are some important moments in which he showed why is the ultimate boss at this surface
Bjorn Borg: Athlete mode points compilation

Maybe the first tennis player in having an excellent physical condition, endurance, speed, acceleration and anticipation that made him reach balls considered as impossible back in the 70s and 80s.
On clay you get the feeling that after one set with Borg the mere mortals would be exhausted. I really feel that to describe Borg as the father of modern tennis is no exaggeration.
Most dominant player ever I would say looking at his records ...
Remember watching Agassi return and thinking that he just anticipates the placement of the ball and executes the return shot better than i've ever seen anyone else do in tennis.
Agassi's returns against Federer at the US Open sound like gunshots. He was just annihilating Fed's second serves
Best return serve OF ALL TIME! Murray doesn't hang with this
I live for those fabulous returns. Mesmerizing
Boy does he take the ball early
The combination of speed, endurance and athleticism was outstanding and even today looks almost unreal. On clay even the second best clay courter Vilas was no match against Borg in his prime, loosing the 1978 Roland Garros Final 1:6,1:6,3:6. Borg lost only 32 games in the entire 1978 RG tournament, to my knowledge still unsurpassed.
He's supposed to have moved 'like a gazelle'
Powerwise, Safin for sure n1, but you have to add consistency, than Djokovic n1 Nadal, Agassi, Zverev, Murray also top notch…I do not think Nalbandian would top 5 or 10 in my list, but he was a great player
GOAT.
Rafa Agassi Nalbandian Kafelnikov Hewitt Connors Djokovic Safin Murray Casper
My all time favorite tennis player. IMO Bjorn Borg invented the modern game. There is a video on RUclips that compares his forehand side by side with Nadal, Federer and Lendl. Nadal and Federer's forehands are almost identical to Borgs. Lendls is a bit different.
7:17 Safin's backhand is so out
Considering on power, accuracy, versatility on groundstrokes, passing shots and returns - No.1 is definitely Andre Agassi
Novak makes like 2 good returns in a whole match.... Agassi makes them every game.... and everyone's creaming over Novak's returns. People forget who the GOAT returner is.
His returns were like a Uno reverse card.
YES! he's the only player who could send a Sampras serve back at the same speed with which it came
The Greatest Era of tennis - damn I wish they had 4k then
Some of the worst footage known to man.
some of it looked like 16mm home movies from the 1950s....horrible
I loved to watch Borg play as a kid. But gosh i forgot how frightenly fast he was!!! His acceleration and speed must be the best ever. As a Swedish he is something to be proud of 🇸🇪
It's great when he does it to Federer. It would've been great to see prime Agassi against him, by the time he came around he was struggling with his physical health
Let me fix this for you 1. Agassi 2. Djoker 3. Borg 4. Kafelnikov 5. Safin
1.Kamson Kulig
Borg will always be the best for me. For him to be playing against Federer, Nadal and Djokovic is always going to be one of the great unknowns.
Yep. It's pretty clear to me the best of the wood era were Gonzales and Borg. They could do things/ made it look so damn easy. Laver was invincible for a minute, and he's one of the all time great competitors, not far behind. I didn't even exist on earth during their peaks, but I can just tell
Truly incredible. His movement is ground breaking for all eras of tennis. No one talks about this, at least not as much as it should be talked about. I have a tennis racket in my hand because of this man. It's not very often you see a rally that lasts almost 90 hits. The endurance is beyond human. Big thanks to Ecc Tennis Productions for this amazing video. Cheers! M
It crossed my mind this would be compiled by a Nalbandian fan🤣 I was correct ..the order of the ten best double backhand players picked here is all over the place.. for me it's No1 Djokovic 2.Safin 3.Nalbandian 4.Nadal 5.Murray 6.Medvedev7.Hewitt 8.Halep 9.Borg 10.Conners
You forgot Agassi somewhere near the #1 spot.
Haha got about 6 minutes in to this video with Safin@ No 7 he should be 2nd only to Djokovic & incidentally No3 imo Nalbandian
I started getting nervous when I hit #2 and hadn’t seen Nalbandian yet. He’s the best I’ve ever seen and one of my favorite athletes of all-time. Fierce competitor.
yeah Nalbandians backhand was phenomenal. And the sound it created was unique. Kinda like Berdych's forehand sound. It was very distinct.
AGASSI had the most SKILL TO RETURN SERVICE IN TENNIS. MOVED EASILY to return to opponents. RAFI Maine USA
Wawrinka, Nalbandian, Safin, Kafelnikov, Agassi, Djokovic, Davydenko without preferences.
Wawrinka has a one hand backhand
Man that really long rally with Lendl was insane. Borg was an alien!
Best returner by a mile. No one is even close.
Totally not true. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and many others are equal if not better at returning than Agassi was. You can't compare 8 grand slams to 20 plus slams.
@@TheTopspin77 Not at all. Nadal is excellent, Federer also great because of his ability to put his racket on most serves. Djokovic is the one that comes closest to Agassi, but his return is more about depth and giving the server a very difficult second shot, while Agassi would just go for clean winners off the return, and often make them. In terms of sheer miles per hour and angles, Agassi is still unmatched.
How to be a badass in sport.
Just to be clear Federer has a congenital back problem and Nadal has knee problems neither of them would have survived the tour with the medical science of the 80's.In Borg's era they didn't even have MRI's.
Agassi's hand-eye coordination, killer groundstrokes and awesome service returns - just a great player to watch :)
I realise this is ATP only, so: 1. Nalbandian 2. Djokovic 3. Safin 4. Agassi 5. Connors 6. Mecir 7. Murray 8. Nishikori 9. Borg 10. Wilander/Rios
one of the best return players ever.
If the title of this video was Top 50 Backhandball With Both Hands, Nadal would be 50th, I mean Nadal was placed among those players because of his tennis career Nadal's backhand is not pretty, he relies on carrying the ball, and he is the least skilled player in hitting the ball with the line. I can name 20 players better than Nadal at the moment in terms of backhands with both hands
You're a clown
Andre returns serve like they are walk-off home runs.
1:40 OK ive slowed it down, Ive re-watched it,--this is humanly impossible. Maybe one of the greatest things Ive ever seen on a court. To get a racket on the ball is extraordinary, but It landed in as well.
Waiting for Serbian fanboys to say that someone else is the best returner in history lol...
Andre Agassi is so effortless, he makes it look like world class returns are something that anyone can do.
The king Agassi
agassi killed the serve and volley era.
Why does footage from the 90’s look so much worse than the stuff from the 80’s?
2:15! He moved incredibly well!
poster seem to be unaware of Nishikori's existence
Wilanders is still the most beautiful 2 hander ever !
Pete Sampras dude was like a tom hanks machine
The fuck does that mean?
Tennis was deffo better back in the day
one of the greats! loved watching him play. The longer the match, the worse his opponent was going to feel the next day!
