This will be an issue with the adblue system, not the service light. you need to get this sorted before the miles get to 0 or you won’t be able to start the van. Have you topped up the adblue recently?

@-StraightForward the adblue is not a problem - it's the service light that won't turn off after following these instructions - 'adblue 1700 miles' is what it says when adblue is full. My point was these instructions didn't turn the service light off only gave me another message

mine works differently, I need to hold service button whilst turning on ignition, that gave the countdown and turned service light off.

@ just changed it and it works perfectly fine 👍🏽 do you know if there’s a way to check in what condition the diesel filter is? Unfortunately it does not have a water separator

The filter is a sealed unit, unfortunately there is not really an easy way to test it. If you think you have an issue with the fuel, I would recommend draining the tank into a clean container, allow it to settle overnight and visually check in the morning. This will show you if there is any water in the fuel, if there is then at least it’s now out and fill up with fresh fuel. If it’s very dirty or contaminated you can send off a sample to see what’s in it. Why are you concerned? Have you got a problem? Thanks

@@-StraightForward drove through Usbekistan / Turkmenistan and now I’m in Iran. And sometimes, it’s smoking very badly after fuelling up. So i suggest that they sometimes mix water into their fuel :/ for now the car keeps running smoothly and I’m always adding additives but I’m concerned that this might not be for long if I catch some more bad fuel stations :/

sorry I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean by the switch can be opened? do you mean leave the plug off the back and bridge the wiring in the plug?

Gently pry with a small flat blade screw driver, slowly working your way around the edge. I’ll try and get a video of me doing this soon. Thanks.

@ awe, the tyre pressure light is flashing and won’t go off with this process, any other ideas?

@lastdimestudios It sounds like It’s probably got a problem with the tyre pressure monitoring system if the light is flashing and won’t reset. If you don’t have a diagnostic machine, it’s going to be worth getting it plugged in somewhere. Thanks

Done this and it went off for about 2 seconds then came back on flashing? What else can I do as my Granda has decided to just stick black tape over the light to ignore it 😂 that’s clearly not the answer to the issue though
