I'll stick with Fats Waller....it's a bit irritating that McCartney chooses to create a far inferior song than the original version...and expect applause! 🤔🤔🤔
My father had such musical ability: he whistled major/Minor... right exactly on key Exactly. He also was a spectacular swimmer. He never gad a chance. Nit even a quarter if a chance. But HE LIVED! I'm happy that SPM has has the opportunity to express his magnificent talent! Maybe, someday....in a living world . Others, who come after SPM shall gave just a fraction of those opportunities. That goes fir me, too. I'm 75, a dancer, now with a broken arm and struggling to be ambulatory 🙋🙏😊♥️
He’s not trying to sing it full voiced. He’s trying to be very subtle and laid back in his delivery and some people are mistaking that for his voice being weak. Just listen to I’m gonna sit right down and write myself a letter for example and you could see his voice is not weak.
@@JohnRedgate-d7q Thx, just listen to it, it's great too, with a fine instrumental part in it! I knew Fats Waller, got 2 albums of him, important man for the music. Paul's version is more 'jazzy' imo, both great!
Many of you forget we all age... Time moves on... I hope all of us can sound that good in our mid-70's... His father's influence is so pronounced in all of Macca' years... The old style of the 30's and 40's... Helpless romantic, he is...
@@dachille1 True, everyone have their own preferences, enjoy whatever you like. I don't get it why people who obviously detest and dislike Paul and place either John or George on a pedestal even bother watching his obscure and unknown videos. Yes you hate him, why waste your energy on his videos. Forget about Paul instead of wishing for his death and get on with your life.

This is a thin sounding attempt that is totally devoid of the joy of claptons version. macca is out of his depth. if you listen to this not knowing it was macca you could be forgiven for thinking it was des occonor
is so sweet the way he try to find the right note for whistle, and how he said: I can whistle, it is like he say... hey... I'm Paul...of course I can do this...
A joy to watch. This man never stopped just being amazing.

Absolutely splendid! And the whistling 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽🎼🎼❤😊(wish I could whistle) 😅

Eleven years later this young crooner would headline Glastonbury.

You can hear Diana Krall smile

My mom would have loved these songs
I remember my mom singing this song to me♡
Lo máximo sir PAUL
Ah, Dian Krall, ticklin' the bones...
Watch Paul McCartney take on a classic Fats Waller song

hehe so fun and warm, seeing Sir Paul
Fats Waller .... the best, ... ruclips.net/video/TNL52txAbhw/видео.html
Then you listen to “when I’m 64” or “honey pie” and you get it.
Wow, what a very sweet song this is !!
Just give a listen to the original 1940’s version by Fats Waller, I do like Paul McCartney’s too.

proper pile of crap
I used to love his voice..but he has no business singing this stuff.

And we can thank our lucky stars - he is talented in so many styles of music. No matter what he ddoes, it's my favourite!
As an artist its good to know when to call it a day, but every-time we say goodbye, Paul says hello. Goodbye.

I really want to know the chords.
Is everyone deaf? This is bloody dreadful and embarrassing. Poor Fats. McCartney has been dreadful for years. Can we swap him back for George please?
Just admit you are a George fan and not a Paul fan. I think you’re comments are out of place.

is so sweet the way he try to find the right note for whistle, and how he said: I can whistle, it is like he say... hey... I'm Paul...of course I can do this...
it's interesting how uncomfortable he is at the start when it's just his voice and someone else on guitar.
