Javelot Tac must do mods
This is not a review of the Olight Javelot Tac but I will say, you can’t beat it for the price point. Their are plenty of other reviews on its performance and you’re encouraged to watch those.
I wasn’t fond of the provided switch mount, it didn’t line up with my rail, but yours might be different. Be that as it may, I still did not like the quality of it.
I know the Cloud LCS has an integrated wire management system but unfortunately the Olights pressure switch cabling was too thick to use it. I considered increasing the channel with a Dremel but it would compromise the integrity of the mount, which is counterintuitive.

I have a no sound issue from my HU 850 unit, which came with my car, a 2006 s60 t5. No sound from the center speaker, which i understand is powered by the head unit itself. Is there a problem with the head unit, or the amp?
@@andrewfotopoulos7766 it more than likely is the 850, they are known to have issues but I never experienced that so I am not sure
@THSeitz22 thank you , I'll probably try another 850 before putting in an aftermarket unit.
@ that is what I would do, and maybe test the center speaker is working as well. Aftermarket head units usually mean losing the center speaker sound all together

My friend! Thank you thank you thank you. I have the exact same mower and it stopped pulling. And I have a hilly yard. the last mow was a nightmare. This video is the only reason I was able to complete the job and I did it in about an hour and a half total. And I was able to order the proper belts prior to the job due to your guidance. very grateful.. It went smoothly and I had no parts left over! lol. And the mower is working great. A+ to you Sir!
@@jstick2000 happy to help!
Some additional points: My version of this mower (20353) does not have a belt guide. But it does have an an addional (front) belt shield. The belt sheild has two bolts that go through the base of the mower and screw into the top cover at the top of the mower.
This video was tremedously helpful. My rear wheel drive belt came off, just as yours did, so I decided to replace both belts. But I had no idea that the front drive belt was different than the rear. Most of the parts diagrams I found online only showed the rear wheel drive pieces. Also, the square bit bolts on the transmission brackets were a real surprise. Glad you pointed that out. Note I will never buy another AWD mower. This thing is a bear to push uphill.
I've owned 2 different pairs and editions of the Atlas. I absolutely love them for every day pants!
Had a similar issue but i had put the throttle body back on in the wrong position because i didn't take note how it looked when i took it off changed it back the Wright way it was running like a champ
Awesome video man!!! Haven't seen anyone else work on the AWD model thank you so much!
Thanks for this video. Replaced rear drive cable last week. Then front drive cable broke. Realized I was not getting rear wheel power. Took everything apart with the help of your video. Rear drive belt had broken. Replaced belt and broken cable, now all is good. You are right. Getting that back panel fitted in place is tedious. Fortunately that was the last part of the job.

Hi old video but new volvo s60r owner :) it put my mind at ease kno people have experienced this before and knowing that a resonator delete fixes it kinda just makes me wanna send it what do you guys think?
@@idkanything1837 most just use it as a reason to get a entire new exhaust system, the OEM one is very restrictive
@THSeitz22 what do you think of people who just straight pipe it I thought about waiting and saving up for a borland exhaust but idk watchu think?
Thank you. Very informative. My problems was that the rear belt had slipped onto the same engine drive puller as the front belt. For anybody interested, the front belt goes on the lower position and the rear belt on the upper (nearest the blade) position.
You worded that very confusing... the lower position would be nearest the blade and upper would be nearest the engine.
@@zacharylange Yeah, that wasn't very clear. I'll try again: The belt that goes to the front wheels is on the upper position on the drive shaft - i.e, the pulley closest to the engine. The belt that goes to the rear wheels is on the lower position on the drive shaft - i.e., the pulley closest to the blade. Hopefully that is less confusing.

Great tutorial! I did have issues with the square head screws. On both plates, the screw that was by itself stripped out and I had to drill it out. The other 2 on each plate came out without an issue. The replacement screw from Toro is $0.81, but $6 for shipping. Ill run with 2 on each plate for now!
Useless
Absolutely, useless....
Why does my front beltcover keep rubbing the beltc
Does it matter on placement of belt on the pulley?
Not specifically, the side with the markings going on the outside, other than that, as long as its around the pulley wheel it should be fine
How did you get the zero 9 mag pouch to attached to the Blackhawk
You have to offset it to align the holes, that just so happened to work perfect for my layout
There is nothing wrong with the Olight. Don't be ashamed. I bought mine for one of my fighting rifles. However, the mount is not ideal for my setup. I believe your idea is a viable solution that I'll consider.
Their is certainly a bad stigma over them, but it has performed well so far. I ordered the brand new Streamlight HLX Pro and it flickers every time it recoils with two CR123 batteries (corrected with a single 18650) but people will recommend the Streamlight all day over a Olight just because of the name
You may not know the answer to this but Im looking to get the LCS systrm for my Javelot but I want the M-Lok version so I can mount it on the offset position of the handguard. My LPVO Sits too low to where my thumb is in the field of view if I top mount it. Do you know if the Olight switch will fit in the M-lok LCS model also?
So the LCS system isn’t a perfect fit for the Olight switch. The one I used, made for the Streamlight switch, which has a lip along the bottom and slides into the mount, doesn’t completely secure the o light switch. If your rail set up allows for the oem Olight mount, I’d recommend that. (This is why I specified it was not a duty set up). As far as running a LPVO, you want a mount with a higher centerline, I think most sit at 1.5” and you want a 1.93” or greater. This will have your switch invisible through the glass when top mounted. Which top mount is the best for switching shoulders when hitting corners
@@THSeitz22 thanks for the info. Im glad u clarified that because I watched the video a few times and I was assuming that u had the one for the scout switch. I may consider top mounting it but I currently have my pressure switch zip tied to the offset mlok section of my handguard. The way I C grip my rifle actually works pretty well for me. Ill try both and if I go top mount I will definitely consider a taller mount for my LPVO. Thanks for the response and information. I have already ordered the Arisaka mount because you are 100% correct as the factory mount sits way too far off the handguard. You have the best informative review of the Javelot TAC Ive seen so far.
@@TrumpIsYoDaddy yeah I searched high and low for an alternative switch mount for the Javelot with no luck. You think for such a high selling item, some company would make one, regardless of their opinion on Olight. You really can’t go wrong with Arisaka mounts. T TEX arms actually teamed up with Arisaka and makes a nice one which is designed if you run a suppressor so it is actually made to run off of the end of the hand guard and is stronger.
I just got a pair for work. Love them so far. They're vastly superior to my Propper, Tru Spec and Blauers.
You put it on wrong that’s why
No, but what I did do is put it in a box and return it. 😉
Exactly why I won't ever buy another Taser. We purchased three C2s, and Taser sold millions of them. Then, they discontinued them with no plan to support their customers with parts. Lesson learned, Just skip the taser and buy a glock.
I agree with the Glock sentiment. Taser did offer the Pulse + and Bolt 2 with replaceable batteries. They were still the CR123 batteries, so pricey but it’s a lot better than the C2 proprietary pack
@THSeitz22 Still, Taser could have continued to produce the batteries for these. The C2 was one of their biggest civilian campaigns, and they sold millions and millions. Unless people see videos like yours, their tasers are worthless. I wouldn't give them another penny.
@@bigtexas81 I’m actually surprised a 3rd party company hasn’t stepped in and produced them, they would definitely sell

Best video tutorial on the AWD belt replacement. Agreed with another user about the retention spring under the deck near the rear being a pain!!! Thank you!!!!
I've been running an Olight Javelot Tac M with a Monstrum Mlok mount. 7 months, thousands of rounds. I teach classes with this set up, on 13.7 Foxtrot Mike FM-15. I gets used and abused. I'm pleased with the results. Thanks for posting your video.
Which mount? Went with cloud and Arisaka because they are pretty vetted
Just tried the Monstrum mount, it sits too high, too close to the top pic rail, and doesn’t have adjustment capabilities like the Arisaka. It’s getting returned
Thanks for the video. Installed on my 2015.5 VOLVO XC60. took about 30 sec. Thank you

Nice! Happy to help
Made a huge difference on my XC70, also replaced the center mount with blue poly aluminum mount from IPD. Going to do the lower engine/transmission mount upgrade from IPD next.
Anyone know who can make these battery packs? Its a shame to buy a whole new unit just because the battery has been discontinued... Thanks!
Hey how much would you charge to make me one of those? Taser has stopped making them so you'll have to buy a whole new type of taser. When nothing is wrong with the old one. If you made them those of us stuck with the taser and no battery you would probably do really well. Thanks!
Yeah, I'd pay you to do this for me too.
Thank you!
Awesome!!!
How do you get the headliner back in? Which part bends to accommodate that?
Hello? Wold it be ok if I feature this video for a youtube edit that I'm working on? I'll credit you with watermark on screen. Thanks in advance.
Yes, Ty
Thank you!!
There is one other C2 hack video out there, and it conflicts with yours as to the battery tops ability to accept solder...he references a different alloy requiring superglue, which makes no sense, since the superglue won't conduct electricity. Did you have any issues soldering the butt plate to the top of the batteries?...Also, another hack video used different Taser batteries, that were very similar to the C2, and the guy just pried at the weird little notch at the top of the butt plate, and the top with the contacts, just popped right out, rather than resorting to sawing that plate off the cartridge. Did you explore this. Since these packs were discontinued in 2016, any that I find available now, will be at least 7 years old now, and a waste of money, Thanks for a response.....This is important as my two adult daughters have units as well, so I will have to do this three times.
Correct, to my knowledge their is no conductive superglue. Soldering is the only and sure way to go, just be careful not to overheat the batteries, so maybe practice on old batteries first to ensure you have the process right. Back when I made this video, I don’t believe their were any alternative battery packs that would work, with as much 3D printing has taking off, I’m surprised no one has just created one that would work to accept 3V CR123 batteries. I would recommend, if plausible, trading in the C2’s on the newer Pulse + which already has a battery pack that accepts CR123’s, no need to buy anymore batteries from Taser or solder every time they need changed.
@@THSeitz22 If anyone is reading this and happens to make or find a 3d print for this battery enclosure, please comment. Happy to pay some money to get something reliable. Thanks.
These tactical CQR pants is awesome over the years I purchase four of these pants in different colors I enjoy wearing them there so comfortable
This is a great video, and I can't believe I found one for the exact mower I currently have. That being said, I don't think I feel comfortable doing the work myself. If it was just FWD or RWD, I might do it myself, but I just don't have the confidence I can do it without screwing something up. But thank you for posting this all the same.
It’s actually pretty easy once you start the process, but I agree, sometimes it’s better to pay a professional. Happy I could at least provide insight
@@THSeitz22 Thank you. I am actually still teetering on whether or not to just do it myself. It's hard to find anyone nearby who will do it, and the one guy I did find is kind of pricey, with a waiting period of over a month.
Great video, it helped a lot. The only reason to remove the blade if you didn't otherwise need to, would be to make the video a little bit clearer as to what you were doing around the blade pulley.
Thank you so much for this video. I've been waiting over 2yrs for someone to post the AWD version.
Np, happy I could help
I had bought 2 of those the one with more hours needed blade adapter (woren pully) the newer one has a shield similar to rear belt shield covering front belt. Newer one had a blowen engine.
