Uniforest 45m winch - First use - A very well designed and made winch. Highly recommend it. 👍
Using my Uniforce 45M winch for the first time it is an amazing winch. Both in design and build quality. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a winch in this size to consider buying this unit. In my opinion, it has the best design of any that I looked at, and the price was very reasonable as well. it also came with the longest cable at 230 feet and it's a swage lock ( ? Spelling) style cable which means it is much more durable than a standard winch cable.

    How well is the rubber cutting edge holding up and also how much wider is the pusher than your tractor.

    • @Vermont_EarthWork
      @Vermont_EarthWork 4 дня назад

      @@keithaddis5628 hey … thanks for reaching out !!! Both cutting edges are holding up well. I plow three gravel driveways with it and this is my second year with it. I have no detectable wear and have made no adjustments to either cutting edge and I have it quite low so that it is flexing a fair amount all the time. The tractor came with a 72” bucket and cleared my tire tracks and the snow pusher is 84” so even with heavier snowfalls I am not driving over any loose snow. I would recommend going 12” wider than the bucket on your tractor, whatever size that may be. For smaller tractors Express Steel has shorter and shallower sidewalls too, and larger if you have a tractor that can handle it. I used an 60” XP24 on my B2650 and it handled it pretty well, I was traction limited with the R4 tires and no chains. Thanks for your interest and give me a shout anytime.

      @@Vermont_EarthWork That you for the info I have a John Deere 3046R with 5.5 inch wheel spacers it puts the rear tread at 68 inches I was looking at the XP 24x 84 inch one with a back drag. I have a 72 inch bucket also. wasn't sure about the XP30 sounds heavy.

    • @Vermont_EarthWork
      @Vermont_EarthWork 4 дня назад

      @ I think the deciding factor in going with the XP24 or the XP30 is how much snow you normally plow and the length of your driveway. If it's under 6" normally, the XP24 is likely plenty of volume, if it's more then that then so long as you have plenty of counterweight on the back and your tires are loaded your tractor should be able to handle the XP30. I think it weights about 600lbs ? But don't quote me.

      @@Vermont_EarthWork My driveway is not that long and I have a 74 inch 3pt snowblower on the back for large snow falls. The XP 30 Is listed at750 lbs. and the XP 24 is listed at 690 lbs. I am not that far from you I am in Bristol up on a back road.

    • @Vermont_EarthWork
      @Vermont_EarthWork 4 дня назад

      @ ah … with that snowblower I would get the 24 then. Even tho the weight isn’t that much more you will likely rarely fill the 24 by the sounds. I have a good friend in Bristol. About 2 hours from me. Thanks for watching and the discussion !!!! I just came in from plowing we got 4 more inches last night. Good luck

      @beardedrockinhillbilly 5 дней назад

      @@Vermont_EarthWork Some of the NS Models you can get a cab on. The Kioti website doesn't show cab model pictures but the model designations are represented. They are in the process of phasing the NX series out with the NS line filling that frame size in its place. You can get a cab on these two NS models: NS4710C and NS6010C, both available in either Hydrostatic or Manual Synchro Shuttle. They come standard with CAT 2 three point hitches, but getting a CAT 1 hitch instead is an option. They also have significantly higher loader and hitch lift capacities. 🚜

    • @Vermont_EarthWork

      Actually the material from the ditches is primarily gravel runoff from all the dirt roads around my area. There is a mix but where the building will go is close to the bank goi g up to the house and most of that is material from the bank itself which was mostly sand. I think giving it several years to compact however will lessen any affects of some non preferred material. You are right that building on top soil would not be a good idea. Thanks for chiming in.
