Sir Bruce and ukulele, many years before he hit the showbusiness big time. Direct cut acetate disc, probably unique. Very light EQ applied, no filtering or processing.

Goodson 241, from U.S. Grey Gull 1854 (as the Whiteway Serenaders on that issue), recorded March 1930 with Grey Gull's usual brash sound quality. Great peppy playing from Mike Mosiello, Andy Sannella and the gang. EMG Mk Xb Oversize gramophone, EMG 2-spring soundbox, medium steel needle. www.burnesecolourneedles.com

Vocal duet with Al Rinker. Columbia 824-D, recorded 18th October 1926. Amazingly, I found this disc at Detling Antiques Fair last weekend! I'm skeptical of the received wisdom on Wikipedia and elsewhere that this was recorded slow, resulting in the vocals sounding high when played at 78rpm. The original composition and stock arrangement are in the key of F, and Crosby's voice sounds high and li...

Heartbreaking! And beautiful. Thank you!
Just seeing this now!!! The BEST!!! Hahaha!
Yes, but with stifled apologies to accordionists everywhere... 🤣
Beautiful, Andy...thanks so much for sharing!
Wonderful and enjoyable my pal :-)
Absolutely amazing!!!! Thank you so much for this video!! Beatles on 78 is a dream for me to own!!
It's the ghost engine, sir! It's come to get me!
👻👻👻
Wow! He is great!!!
Never heard this before. What joy ! Thank you so much for posting.
This band never disappoints!
Just love this! 🌠
Great my pal 😊
I found some 78s and I had a 78 player. The sound is absolutely great. Thanks for posting this. I had Dean Martin singing Amore'. It was Fantastic.
looks mind blowing 0.0
This is beautiful, Andy! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it Mary, thank you!
I feel so much smarter now having watched your dessert! Thanks!
Hahaha! Time to take this down methinks, I will probably upload it to my wackier channel.
Oooo. That’s very smart to have a wackier channel!! What is it?
This great record is a new one for me my pal.
Thank you Ginny!
Wow what a great ukulele player he was.
Yes! Who knew? 🤩
Lita!!!! Fantastic! Great record!!!
Herself, indeed! All her records are tops, aren't they!
@@burmesecolourneedles4680 every one…!
Hahahahaha!!😂
Heeheeheeheehee! 🧠
Happy happy and swingin’🎉🎉!! Thanks, Andy! Great!!
Yes! Thank you Mary! 😁
Hahahahaha!!!!! Sooooo funny!!! Great voice too!!!
She was so great - a little like an English Annette Hanshaw, almost.
Wow! Neat! And interesting! Really different too -by the rhythms and orchestration you think it’s one thing, but the harmonies going into and out of minor and the bouncy vocal lines clashing with each other seemingly at random make it kind of spooky and fun at the same time! Wow-Bing Crosby🎉!!
Yes, it's very interesting musically, isn't it? Great observations Mary.
I love this recording - a fine actor - crisp tones and annotation that is often frowned upon today - I adore a well-spoken voice -not posh - clear
Yes indeed! And thanks!
Thats pretty funny, actually 😂
😁🤣😁
Great tone 😊
Thanks Paul! 😁
Those records are like 7000 dollars a piece on eBay
Some are, yes! But they pretty much never sell... One changed hands here in the UK for about £900 GBP recently.
Whaaaaaaa????? 😮Lol.....I think I will skip dessert LOL 😆
Hahaha, good job my friend found it funny! 🤣
Such a genuine swinger, would love to have a copy of this someday
Thanks!
Good record my pal 😊
Thank you Lady C! 👑
What a great sounding acoustic disc! Fabuulous!
Thanks pal, I thought so too!
This is a great swinging arrangement my pal! 😊
Isn't it just - thank you Ginny! 🌷
A great side with my hometown band! Superb!
They never disappoint, do they!
Sounds like a 'Flapper era' dance number.
Yes indeed!
Great sound my pal 😊
Thanks Ginny! 🌺
Excellent 😊
Thanks Paul! 😎
Great music my pal 👍 😊
Thanks as ever for listening Ginny! 🌻
I can’t make it all The way through. Any context would be appreciated. This is amazing.
Hahaha! The Wiki link and Google searches of her name will give you all the context.
Glorious. I bet your cats took cover for that one!
Probably the case - Pudding wasn't about and she usually arrives when I play the gramophones!
Wonderful ! An absolute delight. Thanks for sharing.
😁🤣😁 My pleasure.
Kudos to the pianist who kept up without dissolving into unadulterated laughter as Florence slaughtered The Queen of the Night.
Totally! They did stumble at one point. Who on earth could make it through that unscathed... 😂
Heeheeheehee….. Holy Kamoly! It IS a TREASURE! Have you noticed the records adjacent to this record on the shelf slowly inching away from it??
HA HA! I've yet to put it on a shelf... I shall observe... 🙄🤣
Incomparable ! Thank you for sharing this rare delight with us !
My pleasure! 😁
Oh my! 😊
Hahaha! 😄
This is a treasure!😃
A strange one, but yes! 😆
The hilarity!!
And the pain! 🤣
Oh Lordy! 😱🤣
Indeed! 😂😘😆
Sounds like a dub of the original Melotone disc. The original recording was made on May 30th, 1940., according to the recently-discovered original test pressing.
Thank you!
A great find indeed my friend. 😊
Yes, thank you Ginny! 🌻
I am a relative of Clarkson.
Good to hear from you!
A wonderful Lieder tenor!
I love him too! This disc is spare, would you like it dear pal?
@@burmesecolourneedles4680 That would be great! Very kind!
