summary Dresslar syndrome VS MI #1 clinically it can be diff by some menuvers i.e by inspiration ,supine position the pain of pericarditis worsens and get releived by leaning foreward BUT MI pain not related with these menuvers of inspiration,supine or leaning forward #2 History also helps as recurrent MI occurs immediately after the previous MI i.e within a week but dresslar syndrome occure after some months that is 5 ,6 weeks after last MI since its a autoimmune condition so it takes long time of month to occur #3 examination by auscultation also helps as we can find pericardial.friction rub in dresslar while in MI we can find S3 and pulmonary congestion,crackles etc #4ecg shows diffuse changes.in dresslar e.g PR depression in many leads, ST elevation(concave upward/smiling ST🙂) in many leads , no Q wave ,no T wave changes but in MI we can focal.changes i.e ST elevation(concave downward/frowning ☹️ ST), T wave changes, Q wave, No PR depression in.some.leads.depending on infarct.location #5 Cardiac.markers and inflamatory markers further help out #6 dressler not respond to nitroglycerin but MI does
