Very enjoyable. Loved all the information, humor, and questions from the audience. Have put this book on my shopping list. What a huge story.
Begins at 3:30 with second-rate audio quality. Soon refers to Maxwell as "Scotland's Einstein". Einstein himself might have put that the other way around, if Einstein hadn't been a man without a country. I might come back to this, but it is not high on my list after this beginning.
Fantastic
I loved "Where's the Ring"? Did this duo record an album? What was the xylophone-type instrument? I'd love to get one!
Have a few new offerings like "make a book in 3 days" and "behind the book business" and "work a bookstore counter for 1 hour"
We visited this bookshop today. Lovely place! We bought 2 books. The owner was delightful. She gave us directions/advice for the river path we wanted to do.
why does mike heron have an english accent
Absolutely agree with the comments above, brought me to tears it at the end, but I don’t know if anyone else thought it, but I thought that was her father on the cover holding her not Frank
About "harvesting organs":That's kind of old fashioned now because scientist Doris Taylor in Houston Texas creates human organs (including human hearts) for transplants from human stem cells.
What makes me me is my consciousness. The decisions I make that make all the difference in my life is made by my individual consciousness. These Decisions are my transcendent reactions to the world around me.
Truth met courage in him. a good man Rael and Huh kyung young are a few good men too .
What great questions you asked.

Not convinced how healthy it is to be super-lean; the obsession with this, in itself becoming a huge psychological problem. So many who are thin, are suffering from some type of eating disorder, and/or are over-exercised... Some become infertile and/or are unable to pick up weight, inspite of intentionally over-eating in an effort to raise their bodyweight... To what extent is the ability to gain weight not a protective adaptation, for example towards preventing possible expiring (since for example on a nutrient deficient diet) and/or to store away toxins?
Just finished reading ... darn it was over in Scotland 2015 ,would've visited , loved it 😊

If Jack was a psychopath, then he was born unable to feel empathy with others. That has nothing to do with Society. All Society might do is provide the psychopath with the opportunities to commit his crimes and also to get away with them.
It seems to me that Sadiq Khan has returned London to the victorian 'mass homlessness' version of itself. Food banks give socialist do-gooders something to do. All those over-educated middle-class kids in tents around St Pauls a while back, for example.

I bought ' Car jacked ' from a charity shop yesterday and I've nearly finished it, it's fantastic, so real and true to life. It's better than any adult novel. I never heard of this author before. I will be keeping my eyes skinned for her other YA books. I'm 63 by the way, as if that matters, Eh ?
geoff nelson hill, poet (requiem for a rocker) & novelist (green fire: tommy & ruthie's blues) woz ear. 😉
See you soon! ❤
I am an Australian who has worked in a second hand bookshop for 17 years. Recently found your book The Diary of a Bookseller in our $1 sale bin. I really would like to visit your shop, I recognise many of your customers, they come here too. Jane Edwards
Great song! Enjoyed that and Mike is a legend!
I love this book. Thanks Frank, what a writer you are.
Reading the book is to enter a vast story of music lovers.
Great 👏
What a sweet couple. They obviously appreciated being able to chat with Mike about the ISB etc & their singing & playing together was intimate & unpretentious. Hope they thrive & prosper in 2023 & that they come to Bristol soon so we can hear them 'live'.
That was a enjoyable discussion and the song at the end was beautiful.
Un bon gros pouce bleu de France !! Top !!
😛
Such a great song at the end! Total surprise!
What is the internet?
Great interview! Thanks for sharing the video and thanks for asking Gary intelligent questions and then letting him give complete answers. Gary Taubes is possibly the very best at explaining how carbs, fats, and insulin interact. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Has any one read this book ?
🏆(only viewed this video 1st time 6/17/22) I truly loved this video interview and subject matter... as it dovetails so well to another channel he was on as a speaker posted five days earlier (6/12/22), where he spoke for about an hour, and had another hour of Q&A from those in the audience. Subject was "The history of a very bad idea." On RUclips channel "Low Carb Down Under". This video was just an ideal buttress one to the other. Great guest interview. 🏆👍
As my friend and I sit in Gatehouse with a plan to visit Wigtown tomorrow, we were so pleased to happen across this conversation. We both read Devorgilla Days and the Diary of a Bookseller last year. It was so good to hear Kathleen remind us of her book. Our visit to Dumfries and Galloway was encouraged by both. Thank you.

I think if I was 'interviewing' Mike Heron I would not spend all the time talking about myself and my band that has so far gone nowhere when he has so much to tell us. I don't think they even mention the name of his book, or at least not before I got fed up, and it is not in the description either.
A very innocuous couple; vomitingly sweet and meaningless. Mike looked like he was pulling on his Scientology reserves to patronise them with his presence.
❤️ Thanks so much for sharing 💕 InezArnetta 🌹
Simulationism is a religion. It’s also a way for atheists to repent and believe or postulate baseless metaphysical scenarios without been labeled a promoter of fundamentalist religious dogma and superstition. Of course, Simulationists could be right. I wonder who made the simulator? The ancient Greeks may have been correct - there could be a team of simulators with perhaps a master simulator
Funny and beautiful music! Thank you for sharing this!💛
