Need a set of Rock Island E units for the hand off at Tucumcari...
..another set of A-B-B? I better start saving now. lol Thanks for watching.
@@PhilBender612 Rock Island would probably have been A-B-A...
Those are such neat engines! Haven’t seen this SP version yet. Love that candy tender on there!
These mallets are great running engines, they can pull a lot as well. Thanks
Super cool!
@@Audamus Thank you Johnny! I'm a fan of your channel. Love SP as well.
@PhilBender612 Thank you! Big fan of yours as well! Amazing layout and fantastic roster of engines and rolling stock!
Nice Consist
Ya, its almost to big for my layout...may have to add on to the layout. I think Im good with E-units now, These 3 new ones make 7 total. 5 Legacy and 2 K-line.
New ones? How was the show
Allentown was great, got these three E-7's A-B-B. Two are powered and one of the B-unit's is a Super Bass. Great sound.
Awesome engine 🚂🚂🚂🚂 coming through
Awesome, philip! I love that whistle too, 5 chime?
Waiting for my trailer too amd tfl princess Would a 51 inchess boat too long for this trailer?
well, this is a 41" hull that fits nicely a 51 may be pushing it. Check with RC4WD.
It looked like it was going to hit the camera
Amazing engine Philip.
Thank you. It is awesome.
That thing is no joke
ya, its sweet. Whistle steam, ash pan glow, lighted instruments in the cab, bi-color markers, and got a lot more electronic features.
Did the Southern Pacific use Harriman and heavyweight cars into the 1960s?
Sweet SP set, great looking layout too. I like the night run.
Cool accessory in action, thanks for the video.
Thanks John, ya Lionel had made many changes to it since the post war days, it runs very smooth. Im happy with it.
Wow that engine sounds great! Seems like it’s pretty loud in volume too!
Beautiful! I'm still looking for the right GS2/4.
Hey thanks! This is a very much updated K-Line model I got cheap and gutted the electronics. I listed everything I put in it, in the description,
@@PhilBender612That's really a good job! I've heard the K-Line version is one of the best. I didn't even notice it was semi-scale!
I like the operation
Awesome running session
Mine didn't have the cool horn either 😂
Lookin' good.
All equipment seems to run smoothly. Great operation.
Awesome set! Cool layout too.
@@johnknippenberg-LandmarkYards thanks John.
I've always wanted that set. That sd24 is beautiful.
Why not an overbridge or underpass ?
The exact same thing happened at the GlenRidge Ave railroad crossing on the Montclair-Boonton Line a few weeks ago. I have some footage of it if you wanna check it out. It’s on my channel.
Absolutely friggin beautiful sir!
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk Thanks I agree they were a must have. Lol
That gondola isn't part of the set, but it needed something for the Crane.
Nice!
Watch your speed there Casey Jones.
It's an old AC pullmor motor, that's what you get.
You should bring your CNJ Blue Comet set up and run Phil's layout with it.
That is a rlly nice train set
I would have bought them if you didn't.
Great O scale layout & great runs also. The Passenger train is the Golden State Limited that ran on both the Southern Pacific & Rock Island till April 10,1968 when it was discontinued.
Yes, I switched out the SP E-units power I usually use to pull the Golden State, with steam power, a SP 2-8-0 even though SP never used steam power. Some of the Golden State cars are SP, Rock Island and two are Pennsy cars as the PRR was involved in the beginning of the Golden state.
I just came across this video .... Subscribed!!! 👍
Who makes the Bi-level commuter cars?
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk Those are actually m t h. They were Amtrak i repainted and decaled them. Beth at The public delivery track Is doing a custom run of the all gray ones. If you're interested, go to her website and you can pre.Order two packs of them.
@@PhilBender612 Will do!
I thought my Santa Fe dash 8-40b looked good! I want that SP one
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk I wouldn't mind having a santa fe . lol. A while back I track down a cottonbelt B-40 And paid for it, but the shop claimed they couldn't locate it in inventory so they had to refund me.
That's a beautiful train!
The intermodal cars are K Line right Philip?
yes. all are k-line
Nice to see the TTAX cars make it onto the layout! Would have been nice to see the Golden Pig trailers riding as well.
Oh hey, ya the SP golden pig trailers are there, they're just staged on the layout... I had them on but wanted to see how the spine cars looked empty, lol I kind of forgot to put them back on. Thank you!
Go ESPEE!
Lookin' really good!
Sweet run!
Awesome layout and run
Best smokin steamer ive seen. Chugga chugga choo choo , choo choo chugga.
😆🤣🤣🤣
Looks like a bunch of fun, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Lookin' good!
That's a nice little engine
Ya. Its not really an engine. I don't know if you've seen one of these before, this is a piece of maintenance equipment used to pack down the ballast rock around the railroad ties to prevent them from moving.
Nice!😎
Beautiful
I'd like to buy one of these, but it seems Command Control is the only way to operate it. I don't use CC and am wondering if some modifications can be made so that it can operate old school fashion.
Yeah unfortunately it kind of requires command control. Either tmcc or legacy base with a cab1 or 2. You actually have to turn the dial on the cab 1 to get the boom to rotate in place and then press a button on the key pad to release a drop of the smoke fluid. It's a really cool accessory and works well.
Just rode the SP again and I have to say, it gets better with each ride.
😄
I'm gonna have to do an update i've done more scenery since this ride.
