When you fence wildlife certain management needs to be on place for conservation. Hand over to private game farm owners. Government incapable of such management.

In the video there are elephant carcasses with tusks still attached! These are normally removed as soon as a carcass is discovered! Why was this not done?

Its simple math. You need 3 things.....land, calculator and a rifle. If the live stock exceed the size of the land and you cannot rehouse them, you have no choice but option 3.

The devastation to wildlife and habitat at Madikwe Reserve in South Africa is HORRIFIC. It is just unbelievable that this was allowed to happen. THIS mismanagement IS animal abuse. It does not take a brain surgeon to realize that only so many animals can live within a confined ecosystem before the habitat and the wildlife within it end up like what is in this video! Please leave conservation management to the experts...and let them do their jobs!

We are living in the new SA. NOTHING. Except corruption and self-enrichment. Matters! Thus. Where. Except last. On the importance scale. Is the total mismanaged and off-the-map national parks. Except the meticulously organised rhino and ivory poaching. Kruger. At least 1000% more elephants than ecological sustainability allows. Take pertinent note of the ecological annihilation in Wankie. And in Botswana. And no one in charge. Gives a first. Nineteenth. Or ten thousandth and first shit. Welcome to the new Africa.

Not only Madikwe. The entire South-Africa looks like this. The ANC's NDR (National Democratic Revolution) = Communism. What a tragedy.

When you ring fence, you need to take responsibility and make tough decisions ...How can you introduce elephant when the ancient migration routes are gone and expect it will be fine without intervention? Madikwe is not the only reserve that suffer this fate. Donor money overrules sound management...

I could not imagine something like this is possible at all in our country!!! The people in charge, allowing this ecological disaster to happened, must be charged with the full force of the RSA laws. This is totally unnecessary and a case of total negligence and absolute cruelty to animals!! The sad part though is, people received salaries for not doing their job and taking the necessary responsibility to prevent such a disaster!!!

This angers me! This is city slicker "greenies" who are anti-hunting and anti-culling and have no idea about true conservation and game management!

Make the reserve bigger!

The same thing is happening in the Kruger Park, despite numerous warnings from highly qualified specialists. The clowns in charge are useless, only interested in collecting their pay checks; duty be damned. It's an entirely preventable catastrophe.

I was part of the original team that stocked Madikwe and managed hunting and capture, however as it now stands , it's another example of our country managing a national asset with incapable people!We cannot allow this cruelty to continue due to a government that has no control of our national parks.A qualified team of professional experienced and conservation minded people must be put in place to immediately take over this and other parks permanently and revert to a sustainable consumptive utilization program. Save Madikwe!

Rather abit too late to ask the ordinance.,.....there should of been an out cry for a plan to be put into place years and years ago....but of course we living in South Africa and here it's steal what you can....get rich scheme while others die of hunger plus animals ...you can judge a country by the way they treat their animals.....and that is in a disaster...it breaks my heart to see majestic animals dying with out a serious plan or fight to keep them alive....shame on you who manage the wild life....Just remember God is watching how we look after the animal kingdom. 😡😡😡😡😡💔💔💔💔🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

12 000 ha of this reserve was our family farm. In 1988 we were told by the then goverment that they wanted the farms for a game reserve. We had one of two choices, leave with what they offerd or stay and the goverment would expropriat without compensation. Apparently we over grazed the area. Funny thing we farmed there for 80 plus years through droughts and floods. There was abundant game and we had none of whats going on there now.

Like any other government program the people are not capable of thinking further than thier pockets .Everything in South Africa will simply be destroyed by the Africans way of thinking.

The ANC is doing this deliberately to declare the land inadequate for wildlife in order to mine there with China. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.

Bakkie jag is 'n nuwe ding wat deur die boere aangemoedig word sodat die frieskas en quota vol kan raak. Ek sien dit as oneties, dis nie in die gees van jag nie en gee sie jagter n baie groot voordeel. Maar, ek verstaan mense wat oud is, nie kan loop nie, of een of ander probleem wat hulle verbied om in die veld te kan wee.

Bakkie jag sal nooit reg wees nie.Die beginsel van fair chase word deur duisende jagters oor die wereld heen gehandhaaf, maar in SA het ons die bakkie slagters wat te lui is om te jag en net wil doodskiet.
