I don't see the FT-710 in the CAT setup for OmniRig. What rig did you use? What settings. I can't get the QSY to work from the POTA plus or the logging.

What are you usimg for rig control?
Log4OM, OmniRig and to get it to work with POTA Plus you have to use ham-apps-proxy.

How do you upload your contacts to pota
Email it to myself, download it to my computer then upload it POTA.
Thank you KO4GBB. I'm going to get an 891 next week and all you guys who've put up these 891 videos have convinced me that this is the POTA and portable radio for me.
90% of our club members have at least one of these radios. It truly is a beast.

My pleasure, you will not be disappointed.
I need to give elevated radials a try with a 1/4-wave. I’m so used to just doing them on the ground.
You only need 2 radials if you elevate the feedpoint. Try to get it about 10' off the ground so you can get the optimum 52° angle on the radials but anything over 45° will do the trick. Also do your best to keep the ends of the radials a few feet above ground.

You don't need complicated setups. Remember the golden rule KISS, keep it simple stupid.
Great way to show that a simple POTA hunting setup works great. I hope that other will watch and learn that they don't need to over-complicate things to have some fun with Parks on the Air. AC4SH
Not just for hunting, most of my activations are done with this setup.
3 elevated radials are good.
Absolutely, I worked off of 2 for the longest and a few months ago decided to put another 2 on there. Noticed a slight difference but nothing to write home about, that's why I'm not too concerned about repairing it.
