Internal homophobia is a thing. I was 14 when I realised that I am emotionally and physically attracted to women. I remember in high school almost every girl around me are boy crazy, while I found myself writing a poem about a girl that I never dare to approach. It took me 12 years to actually say it out loud that I am gay. I decided to not be in a relationship throughout my journey of making peace on my sexuality. I never dated a man to find a proof that I am gay because I am 100% sure. But I tried to make myself feel something for a guy, I have a guy best friend who I care so much, I thought I would feel romantically attach to him if we get closer, but nope, it did not. And I feel so bad because I feel like he struggle to keep his feelings within the threshold of "Friendship/platonic". I love him, we got along so well--but I don't know, I am just not in-love with him. Yup, being gay is not something we can change--I am glad about that because now I could not be more happier. Just the thought of being with a woman makes my heart flutter, warm and grateful. I don't know, everything seems beautiful 💗🤗
