I always chose Give Me Mocha @wetnwildindia in the past but the last two times, it disappointed me a lot. The formula dried out after just 5 or 6 uses. Instead of applying the leave in cream and gel at once, I took small sections of hair and applied the products to each section individually. Hair is in gel cast 👆 1: I ignored deep conditioning will lead to dry, brittle hair How to Avoid: Deep condition weekly with a deep conditioner/hair mask for curly/wavy/straight hair. Apply generously and you can use heat to help it penetrate 2. I used regular towels in my childhood and teenage era caused frizz and breakage. How to Avoid: Use a microfiber towel or cotton T-shirt and blot your hair gently 3. I frequently used heat-straightening tools to straighten my hair without knowing this damaging my curls pattern/hair How to Avoid: Limit heat use, apply heat protectant, and opt for heatless styles 4. Chemical treatments, which weakened hair bond and damage severely (I have never done that but I know many of you have/had) How to Avoid: said NO ❌ to these methods in future. Sadly you can’t restore the damaged parts, you can only cut them 5. First I compared my curls to straight hair then with other curly hair people, leading to dissatisfaction. How to Avoid: Embrace YOUR unique curls, focus on your hair’s needs and health 🫶
