Добавлен 15 мар 2020
St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Franklin, TN was founded by mission developer, Pastor Eric C. Pearson in 1974. St. Andrew holds two lively, liturgical worship services every Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 AM with Holy Communion celebrated at all services. All baptized believers are welcome at the communion table.
While worship has always been central at St. Andrew, the congregation also has a rich tradition of outreach, music, and children’s ministries. We hold Sunday School for all ages every Sunday at 9:50 AM.
All are welcome! Most definitely: Lutherans worship God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Lutherans are named after Martin Luther, a priest in the Roman Catholic Church of sixteenth century Germany.
St. Andrew Lutheran Church is a flourishing community of faith “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:20

Unexpected blessing! Taking a statistics class during summer school in college I knew I would get an F but the teacher curved the grades. I got a C😬🎉🥳
I can’t find the whole church service livestream
Charlie was a wonderfully imperfect human being and beautiful human soul. He will be missed, but we celebrate that he is In Heaven, probably discussing all of the questions he had with the saints that went before. Sending our love to Peggy and her family, always.
It is absolutely criminal that this video has so few views. We can all figure out why. We remember Levittown NY and PA.
This is so similar to what's happened in South Africa where I live. If one notices the effects it can be reasonable deduced that systemic racism has been practised on the Aborigines of Australia and Maori of New Zealand..also Native American Indians...and still today the victims are blamed. On a broader scale, this has been done to Africa and other undeveloped nations, where privileges are given to Western countries and the rules are made to benefit the West.
Loved this!!
Great! Thank you
What a blessing it is to watch the service. I can no longer go in person so I am so thankful to be able to watch this beautiful service in this absolutely gorgeous church. Thank you
Loved the music
Enjoyed it. Sorry I had miss today. I love drums!!!!
Superb! Love that pipe organ! Go Darryl!!!
The music was absolutely beautiful. We are so blessed to have Darrell and Brian and so many others who share their musical gifts.
The anthem and the music for Communion were sublime and transcendent. Thank all of you who worked to give that gift to our worship today!
EXCELLENT . . . COVERED SO MANY OF THE DEEP ROOTED KEY POINTS THAT MANIFEST AS SYSTEMIC RACISM. THANK YOU!
The so called bible does not talk about racism simply because this is a racist book
Great analysis
Jeremiah 13:23: Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil. It's simply baked into Bible....
People are like remember when the Romans enslaved people, I think Jesus would agree with that. These are so called religious and moral people. You're religion is based on Jesus christ, why don't you listen to him more and behave more like him
“All slavery throughout all time should be abolished because it’s bad.” See, that would have been a clear message… If only there was an immortal super being that could do anything. Then it could give us a message that could not be misinterpreted. What, that being is god? He just didn’t feel like doing that. Most interesting.
If i were racist because of the bible it would be to get revenge on Jacob for ruining white kind
Amen, profound
It is because of believers like you that we will see the Kingdom of God in operation on this Earth. This teaching was full of truth and love. I have been asking these questions for all of my life. I have been searching and finding answers for years. It is relevant for me because I am what the world calls a black man. The treatment many times is AWFUL. I often ask myself would I feel the same way if the treatment did not pertain to me? But I have a life of hope because I am a believer of Jesus Christ . The bottom line is this, anyone not willing to receive or consider your teaching DOES NOT truly understand the character of God. To understand the Word of God is to understand His character. Thank you for the teaching My Sister. Continue to be thou Bold and Courageous. May the peace and the protection of God be with you! 🙏❤
Bro what she left out that us the Black Americans are the people from the Bible look up Negro Village in Spain a great Hebrew warrior helped the king of Spain defeat the Moors so the king gave him a Village then the black jews was kicked out of Spain and Portugal in 1492 by King John the 2nd in sent them to West Africa over Christianity the real black Jews that didn't want to convert to Christianity was going to west Africa and the 5th Pope was the one that wrote the letter to start the slave trade to our people in west Africa because he hated the Black Jews
Why let a woman be a pastor? The word instructs for women to be silent in the churches
Your analysis was spot on! I am an athiest, to be honest, I was not expecting such a thoughtful breakdown of the invention of racial constructs and theory that are far more recent than we've been led to believe. Your analysis showed a deep level of knowledge and respect. These types of talks are encouraging, a silver lining, in this most difficult problem, of structural racism in this county. Encouraging because, this time around, it seems that white folks are finally ready to have the hard and awkward discussion that forces them to face and analyze their constructed whiteness. This has been a crucial and missing key to honest racial discussion, socially, since the civil rights era. Too often the onus, the labor, of exposing, indicting and resisting structural racism has been placed on the black or person of color affected. It is time these conversations be had between white folks. For it is their constructed identity that comes at the cost of everyone elses. We all play a hand in upholding these systems, me included, but a start would be recognizing our own privilege. These conversations are loaded and we all come with prejudice but if we could all carryon dialogue like yours, the world, WE, would be so much better. Thank you again, the effort you put into this video and conversation are so much appreciated.
You are a rare breed on this planet. Your message will definitely reach four corners of the world and people from around the globe will always whisper your name in their prayers.
Amen Rev, it's Good Friday today and I was attentively listening and watching your empowering teaching. I really hope your message can reach those who differ from your opinion teachings and melt the ice in their heart. People like you are a rare breed on this planet.
The concept of race developed from the concept of classism. Rich and poor became white and black.
Anybody who needs the scripture to specifically address racism in order to know how wrong it is....isn't a real Christian.
excellent breakdown, thank you.
Amen. Thank you for giving us a powerful sermon on God's love for us as an example as to how we should love each other! May God bless you and keep you as well.
My daughter laughed at "You're gonna see."
My daughter likes your wings.
you have not quoted one scripture in this speech? where is your proof from the bible?
She quotes St Paul in the book of Galatians
If you knew your bible you would not need quotes.
where in the bible does it say the jew ish were oppressed?
I feel like you didn’t read the Bible. In your last comment you asked of Judaism is in the Bible, I said yes, it is. The Jewish people were enslaved by the Egyptians.
who did the Lord call christians?
who are the israelites?
is judaism in the bible?
Yes… that’s the first half of the Christian Bible and the entirety of the Jewish Bible.
don't forget the dum diversas/doctrine of discovery of the 1400's
It does say, love thy neighbor as thy self.
meaning the 12 tribes
It does. But good luck getting racists to see everybody as their neighbor.
That only applies to the Hebrews. Not Gentiles and Heathen nations. The laws, statutes and commandments were given to the Hebrews only. Jubilees 22:16-17 [16]And do thou, my son Jacob, remember my words, And observe the commandments of Abraham, thy father: Separate thyself from the nations, And eat not with them: And do not according to their works, And become not their associate; For their works are unclean, And all their ways are a Pollution and an abomination and uncleanness. [17]They offer their sacrifices to the dead And they worship evil spirits, And they eat over the graves, And all their works are vanity and nothingness.
Very Good! Thank you.
I wish that you could say this directly to my own mother. She is racist and I have two mixed children. It breaks my heart how she treats them.
being prejudice and being a racialist/racist is different
@@breexybee8926 But being hateful is evil enough. Don't get stuck in semantics - both are hateful and evil.
Thank you Pastor for this sermon of God's will for us to love one another the way he loves us. May God continue to lift up and bless your ministry! Sending #PeaceAndLove from Texas
Thank you. I am guilty as charged. So many times I have claimed that I am not a racist. But I admit there is that unconscious bias. Call it being judgmental, or whatever, but it is in most of us. But understanding that and admitting it is step one to a better self.
God bless you, Pastor. This is one of the most loving, courageous, righteous and powerful sermons that I have ever heard on this subject. May God bless the dissemination of this message.
Thank you, Pastor. Very thought provoking and meaningful.
It was written during a time where everyone was the same colour
Black
@@icemike1 Not really. People started to have White skin around 8,000 years ago, Judaism and Christianity came after that. But it’s more likely than not that Jesus had brown skin, and people around him had brown skin.
@@theusa4052 there is no 8000 years ago. Earth is a few thousands years old.
