The point is to not wait for a very long period of time. Like if a pediatrician appointment is scheduled within 2-3 days you might not need to go to an emergency room. But if have to wait for long periods of time it is better to go to an ER to prevent brain damage

My thoughts exactly. We got an appointment for an EEG a month from today but after seeing this video we decided to go to the ER. We were admitted the same day and now we're getting an EEG in the morning.

I'm my case I took my son to the ER where he was misdiagnosed with reflux. I took him back home and called his pediatrician. She schedule a visit for the same day. We took him and she helped us and he was seem by a neuropediatrician next day. He was them admitted to the hospital in order get an eeg and mri done asap. Luckly it was not as bad as infatile spams but he was having seizures. He is now fine. Taking medicines twice a day.

@@louizahochola6259 thanks for your response. My kid is in 4th month now and diagonized with infantile spasm. We could not Believe such a rare disorder will affect her. But eeg confirms it and now taking Viganext 500mg. The episodes are around 6-10 times a day and lasting for about 30 seconds to 2 mins and the baby is crying. Taking an mri soon. We are also worried about her. She is our first kid. Hope doctor and god helps her to be better. I may come back here for more responses and updates. Wish ur kid a speedy recovery. @@saravanch2003 God will remember us, I believe, because these babies belongs to God we are only their caregivers. I am also believing that they will outgrow these conditions because it hurts as a parent seeing your baby suffering and crying helplessly and there is nothing you can do. I would advise you to start your baby on occupational therapy as as soon as possible like I did so that your baby might achieve her milestones early and quick and it also make her to be physically fit. My child's doctor told me the same thing when she was a baby. Even as she got older her would push my concerns away and tell me she was fine "she's just lazy" because she didn't crawl until 18 months and didn't take her first steps until she was 2 1/2. Fast forward to now. She's 8 yrs old. At 4 they did an EEG and MRI. She has epilepsy from a traumatic brain injury before birth. I wish I would've listened to my gut.

Go to pediatric emergency .. and don't leave untill they do EEG for your child

We went to children's hospital, then transferred to pediatric specialty hospital and now getting EEG in the morning. Doctor said it is seizures. But with EEG exam will know more information and start medication. Keep pushing the doctors, insist and go with your gut. Take videos of your child and show them to the doctor. You know your child best and they need you to fight for them. Hope your baby gets help soon!

@@kinzahussayn479 they did an EG he is absolutely fine now. There was no seizures seen. I am so thankful. I have no idea why he did that but he isn’t doing it anymore!!!!

My baby just got the vaccine monday and she started seizing 3 hours later. Nothing showed up on the EEG however. How is your child now?

@@nataschabiltsted3929 My son was two and a half months old when 2-3 hours after vaccination he would frequently seize for a couple seconds at a time. Sometimes the seizure would last four to five seconds. The longest I observed was 9-10 seconds. ...Which is a really long time to be frozen unable to breathe... watching your child go purple in the face, because his body would clench up. After two days of this we took him to the emergency at the hospital. They were less interested in considering an adverse reaction to vaccination and more interested in testing him in every way possible for signs of child abuse a.k.a. "shaken baby syndrome". Our pediatrician put the hospital on a witch-hunt against us, in spite of us explaining that it had to be the vaccine. So this was eye-opening to see the politics behind pushing the idea that vaccines are "safe and effective", notwithstanding the vaccine info packet I received from the pediatrician's office clearly lists seizures and spasms as known side effects. His EEG was fine, brain MRI fine, retina inspections fine. They discharged him as having "infantile spasms". He continued to have spasms for a few weeks. They gradually dissipated and went away. We vaccinated him again at age 5 and 1/2 months and he again started having mild spasms or seizures. So that was the nail in the coffin and we have not vaccinated since and he has not had spasms or seizures since. He is doing fantastic now. When I replay in my mind him seizing up and what the problem may be, I believe the thing affecting his brain was inflammation. Inflammation caused from the vaccine. When the brain is inflammed it becomes swollen and very sensitive. He was most sensitive to abrupt movement. ...When picking him up or riding in an elevator that stops, these movements would trigger him to spasm. My best advice is to take ginger care of the child while the brain is inflammed. Limit over-stimulus. Bright lights, loud sounds, stress, abrupt movements. Be gentle with the child and let them gradually heal. The other thing that can be inflammatory is food. Obviously breast milk is best. Sugary baby formula is not good. Sugar is inflammatory. Also fluoride in drinking water has been shown to be bad for child's brain development. Don't feed baby formula from tap water. Gentle Touch is healing if they respond well to it. Holding, cuddling. Not necessarily stroking, if it causes too much stimulus. Gauge their reaction. Put yourself in their shoes. Oxytocin, the love hormone, is an incredibly powerful healing brain hormone. I don't see how a drug will help the situation. Getting rid of the spasm with an anti-convulsant doesn't rectify the underlying reason why the child is spasming in the first place. If there is an injury to the brain, the solution is in restoring health to the brain. Most children, if their gut health is in tact, will be able to process the toxicity out of their body and do the natural healing process. Then the symptomatic expression of injury (spasms) will go away. Children who have taken antibiotics will have disrupted gut health. It's important to understand that gut health does the following three things 1) process food, 2) clear out toxins, and 3) produce hormones for the brain. Much of hormones for the brain are produced by bacteria in the gut, as well as in the brain. Gut microbiome (flora, good bacteria) out of whack is one of the most abrupt areas of disturbance found in autistic children. Their gut bacteria is very very disturbed. This is why breast milk is so critical to baby's gut health because it provides the microbiota from the mother to the child. If you can't breastfeed your child yourself then source breast milk from another mother. When a child's gut health is restored then it will lend to healing brain health as well. The two can't be separated. If there were a "medication" to take for brain health, then I would start with PREGNENOLONE...considered the mother of all brain hormones. It's what your brain naturally makes from cholesterol and then turns into all the other brain hormones like cortisol, testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, serotonin etc. Remember that what I observed in my child was symptoms of brain inflammation. And when the inflammation subsided, he got back to normal. How to get healthy... Fresh air outside is good. Get out into nature. Go to the park. Go to the woods. Breathe it in. ...Nature's flora. Some daily sunshine exposure to bare skin is good. Vitamin D is synthesized by a reaction between sunlight and cholesterol in your skin. Supplemental Vitamin D is not a substitute, but better than nothing. Vitamin D is a powerful immune system regulator, as well as necessary for blood health (which is central to the inflammation process). Vitamin D is also a hormone which supports brain function. ... So there are things you can do. Too many children are sheltered inside and away from the sun. The sun is a great healer. Can "melt" health ailments away. We're talking about 20 minutes of sun exposure daily. Maybe just 5 or 10 minutes bare skin exposure at first to start. This is an important part of our biology that is often neglected. Lastly, a quality fish oil supplement contains EPA and DHA fatty acids that are critical for brain healing and function. The brain is built from cholesterol and fatty acids, hence why mothers milk, which contains cholesterol and fats, is so important. I know that the leading brain restoration clinics include fish oil supplementation as part of their recovery protocol. Just cut the capsule and squeeze the oil out. Oh, and iodine. Iodine deficiency in the mother is the leading cause of mental development issues in children worldwide. If you don't eat seafood then supplement. J.Crows Lugol's Iodine solution. A dozen drops a week on average. A little goes a long way. Doesn't need to be taken daily. Body stores it, but levels can get low, especially in child bearing women. At least 50% of child bearing women in American are deficient in Iodine. This is a lot. Hopefully it's helpful.

This isn't due to vaccines. Getting sick from preventable disease can cause some serious long lasting problems

If her spasms have gone away then try weaning her off of the medication. You won't know if she still needs it until you try

My daughter too. She was first diagnosed with Infantile Spasms at the age of 4 months. Indeed it often comes. Very often. Everyday... We seek treatment by seeing a pediatric neurologist since the diagnosis. I've tried many drugs too. Including Sodium Volpreate, Vigabatrin, Prednisolone, etc ... i'm still remember that she was struggling & restless when its comes. But, after a few years of treatment, she is better now. No more new episode of spasam @ seizures on 2019 till now. Now, Damia already turns 7 yrs old.
