Shelley Duvall is an American former actress, producer, writer, and singer. She is best know for starring in movies such as 3 Women (1977), The Shining (1980), Popeye (1980), and for creating her grounbreaking cable series Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre (1982 - 1987).

I'm glad she was Olive Oyl. She made that character and was believable as what constituted a love interest in a real life cartoon. She and Robin Williams were those real life counterparts. I know this will be remade and it's inevitable but this film was a love letter to the comic strip.

Shelley in popeye and lady aberlin on mr rodgers were my earliest crushes . Put brunettes on the highest pedistal from the beginning . I think the soft , sweet and calming voices helped aswell
